The fact that Mohammed Khan has any defenders at all illustrates how mainstream antisemitism has become in the aftermath of the October 7 jihad massacre, as is discussed in Antisemitism: History and Myth. Khan wasn’t protesting Israel or even Zionism; his sign said “Jews,” not “Israel” or “Zionists.” It would have been bad enough if it had, but what he actually wrote was even worse. If the sign had said “F**k the blacks” or “F**k the Chinese” or any other group, Khan would have no defenders at all. But when it comes to Jews, this sort of thing suddenly becomes acceptable.

It’s because people are so fixated on what they think evil about Israel that they feel completely justified in insulting the Jewish people generally, all of whom are assumed to be supporters of the Jewish state. They can always rush under the umbrella of anti-Zionism and insist that it’s all political when they are accused of hate toward a people.
