Yeah, tell me again about how all this is just opposition to Zionism and the State of Israel’s policies.
“Eurovision cuts Israel from official 2025 album reel,” JNS, May 25, 2025:
The European Broadcasting Union has reignited Eurovision controversy by completely excluding Israel’s 2025 representative, Yuval Raphael, from the official album compilation video, despite her second-place finish and commanding victory in the public vote.
The deliberate omission has triggered widespread accusations of discriminatory treatment and double standards, particularly as competing nations received prominent showcasing in the promotional reel released Friday.
Raphael’s performance of “New Day Will Rise” resonated powerfully with Eurovision audiences, catapulting her from a disappointing 15th place in jury voting to an impressive second-place overall finish through massive public support. However, when the European Broadcasting Union unveiled its official Eurovision album compilation video on Friday, Raphael had vanished entirely from the celebratory montage that prominently featured sparkling stage presentations, dramatic soundtracks, and emotionally charged moments from performers from Austria, Estonia, Sweden, Germany and France.
The Eurovision’s official Instagram post quickly transformed into a heated forum for fans voicing their frustration.
One user commented, “It’s deeply disappointing to witness Israel, which secured second place in Eurovision this year, being deliberately excluded from this post. This contradicts the spirit of fairness and unity that the slogan ‘United by Music’ purports to embody. Selective inclusion represents more than mere disrespect—it reveals a double standard that countless viewers refuse to overlook.”
This exclusion continues a disturbing pattern that has developed over recent Eurovision cycles. In 2023, Noa Kirel‘s third-place achievement secured her prominent placement in the official compilation. The subsequent year saw Eden Golan‘s fifth-place performance omitted from promotional materials. Now, even securing second place overall has proven inadequate for inclusion….

This is the highest form of discrimination from the so call developed world.

That may be because they’re still Nazi sympathizers which the Islamic bigots brought back to life. Didn’t take much.
somehistory says
Many top nazis made it out alive, taken in by many countries. Many of them had children, grandchildren. May not just be “sympathizers” but relatives of the ghouls of hitler’s tribe and themselves, nazis

Anything positive even when it is politically neutral about an Israeli seems to be erased in western Europe 2025 media ,The people pulling the strings in media must pander to” Islamic refugee” mob whose whole life is hating anything not Islamic especial Jews.. It is ironic that in true sharia law music especially singing by women is banned Why should a true Moslem following sharia law care if a Jewish women gets some kind attention for her music talent .Why does the media in the west cowards they are pander to these stone age cult followers that truly hate western cultural ,art ,music ,and freedom.

I used to watch Eurovision updates from here in Brazil, not anymore. I also have given up shows in which unabashed anti-Israel actors and actresses work. I just don’t feel like watching them anymore once I know about their political stands, I confess I can’t separate the art from the artist. By the way, although I’m of the LGBTIQ community and even somewhere in the gender spectrum, I have nothing whatsoever against JK Rowling! The radicals in our community have ruined any dialogue in society, they polarize things, making any meeting halfway unfeasible, sigh.

I know what you mean, Jo Alex.
Suburbanbanshee says
Obviously most of the ordinary people of Europe are okay with Israelis, since they voted for her.
It’s the “elites” who run things, who are full of hate.

They are more fascist than elite.
Taffy says
She doesn’t need them. She should start a song-writing, recording and performance career and she will go far.
James Lincoln says
Spot-on, Taffy.
Not being recognized by Eurovision may – ironically – actually increase her “prominence”.
She does not need the official Eurovision video – her work is available on YouTube.
Much to their chagrin, I guess Eurovision forgot about competition from other video services…
Tim gallagher says
Thanks for the tip, James. I just listened to her on YouTube. As I expected she has a great singing voice no doubt about that.
James Lincoln says
Glad that you were able to find the clip, Tim.
Tim gallagher says
There are certainly plenty of great musical performances there on YouTube, James. I have come across plenty of performers and songs there that I had never heard of and I now like a lot
Tim gallagher says
Eurovision is just a bad joke. I hope this Israeli singer goes on to have a successful career although with the way the trendy anti Jewish mania is these days it might not happen but not because of her talent or lack of talent. All these trendy wankers make me sick. If their country was surrounded by scum who want to annihilate them, as Israel is, they would be singing a different time.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Had I been Israeli, I’d be demanding to pull out of this charade. No other continent has anything like it: there is no Pan-American song contest, Asian song contest, African song contest, but their music goes on just fine
Tim gallagher says
Infidel, you are a very knowledgeable person but here is something that might surprise you. Australia is a part of Europe. For some weird reason Australia is allowed to have a contestant in the Eurovision song contest each year. What a joke. I have never watched it, only seen short clips on the tv news. When you think about it, neither Australia, so far away from Europe, or Israel should be in idiotic contest
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Tim
I’d understand if people said that Australia, NZ, Israel and to an extent, even Philippines were described as Western countries. Since British or American legal systems and culture are what prevail there. But geography is geography, and by no stretch of imagination are these 4 countries any part of Europe
Tim gallagher says
That’s right, infidel it is ridiculous but, for some weird reason, Australia is included in that contest each year. It is absurd.
bill says
Why is Israel in that contest to start with? It is not in the EU and it is not even in Europe. Israel should dump the EVSC. In a way it also reinforces the spurious claim that it is a colony of Europe
࿗Infidel࿘ says
💯
Israel is a Western country, but not a European one
By contrast, Russia is a European country, but not a Western one

Langsam wirds ungemütlich hier in Europa, nicht nur für Juden, auch für Nicht-Muslime und Nicht-Linke.

If they let Israel win there would be riots and massive damage to property. So, they fixed it to let Austria win…
