This is not “extremism.” This is Qur’anic Islam: “Those of the believers who sit still, other than those who have an injury, are not equal with those who wage jihad in the way of Allah with their wealth and lives. Allah has conferred on those who wage jihad with their wealth and lives a rank above the sedentary. Allah has promised good to each, but he has bestowed on those who wage jihad a great reward above that of the sedentary.” (Qur’an 4:95)

On May 12, 2025, Al-Mursalat, a media outlet associated with the Islamic State Khurasan Province (ISKP), published a Pashto-language article aimed at readers in Pakistan-Afghanistan region and criticizing Muslims who protest and vow to wage jihad against Israel but do not fight unbelievers in their home countries.
The article, titled “Isn’t It A Strange Passion!” and written by one by Ismail Ansari, reads: “I swear to Allah, if they were truly mujahideen, they would have first revolted against the unbeliever regime of their country, first made the Quran law for their nation, first saved the oppressed Muslims of their countries!”
Published as a poster and shared on Facebook, the article argues that now the world of unbelief has united against Muslims, that the hostility of America and Russia is only to deceive Muslims, and that Muslims express their feelings in protests and demonstrations.
Following is a translation of the article:
“The Only Goals Of The Unbelievers Concerning Muslims Are To Weaken, Divide, And Rule Them – But Muslims Only Use Passion Instead Of Recognizing The Truth”
“Isn’t It A Strange Passion!
“The war between unbelief and Islam has begun; the camps have been separated. Now, no one has any excuse of any pretext, unawareness, or ignorance. He who enters the camp of unbelief is an unbeliever, and he who enters the camp of Islam is a Muslim. The unbelievers have waged their vicious war against Muslims with complete unity, agreement, and coordination.
“Today, the war is not only military, but also economic, intellectual, and ideological. Russia, which is apparently hostile to America, but against Muslims, fights alongside America from the same trenches. Have you ever seen America and Russia in a real war with each other? Has any Russian or American military or civilian been imprisoned in the prison of the other side because of their hostility? No! All these kinds of speeches are lies and a deception.
“The only goals of the unbelievers concerning Muslims are to weaken, divide, and rule them. But Muslims only use passion instead of recognizing the truth.
“Yes! We appreciate the passion that comes from the color of faith, but the passion that is only on the tongue and devoid of action – these are false words that are of no use. The unbelievers are collectively bombing the lands of Muslims. The tragedy of Baghouz, the bloody days of Mosul, and today’s mourning in Gaza. The long list of atrocities being committed against Muslims is not hidden from anyone: Uyghur, Burma, Kashmir.”
“And Then These Occupied Islamic Lands: Andalusia, The Caucasus, Bukhara, Samarkand, Chechnya… The Honor Of Muslims Has Been Trampled Underfoot By These Barbaric Unbelievers”
“And then these occupied Islamic lands: Andalusia, the Caucasus, Bukhara, Samarkand, Chechnya… The honor of Muslims has been trampled underfoot by these barbaric unbelievers, and their prisons are full of oppressed Muslims.
“What injustice and cruelty is not being done to Muslims? But my oblivious Muslim only shouts and, in this way, feels revenge. Some show themselves to be strong by pouring out a few bottles of soft drinks, some take to the streets and chant slogans, and some shout to go to Gaza and wage jihad!
“It is a strange passion! I wonder about these people; what religion do they follow? Is shari’a in force in their countries? Are their systems Islamic? Do their rulers make decisions based on the Quran? Are their countries safe havens for the mujahideen of the Caliphate? Have they declared hostility and jihad against the unbelievers? Are their prisons empty of oppressed Muslim brothers and sisters? So why are these liars shouting that we are going to Gaza for jihad?
“I swear to Allah, if they were truly mujahideen, they would have first revolted against the unbeliever regimes in their country, first made the Quran law for their nation, first saved the oppressed Muslims of their countries!
“But they are liars! Their passion is false, their claim is false. If they truly want to wage jihad, we call upon them:
“First, eliminate the unbeliever system in your country, enforce the law of Allah instead of the man-made laws, the Messenger of Allah started the jihad with the Quraysh, and then he spread Islam to the whole world. But my Muslim today is silent about the unbelievers in his own home and thinks about Gaza – this is called pure hypocrisy.”…

Your writings paint a terrifying portrait of the world. More precisely, whatever is written in the Qur’an makes my life even more terrible. If only people had the ability to think for themselves. The world seems cruel to me, but my situation depends on my reaction to external factors. A ruthless group like the Islamists may be trying to destroy me.
