Our elected officials should be standing with India.
India had suffered repeated horrifying Islamic terrorist attacks sponsored by Pakistan before it struck back. Despite what you see in the media and hear from politicians, India’s strikes on Pakistan were light and understated. But you wouldn’t know that from the replay of the usual way the media covers India and Israel.
India struck terror targets. Unfortunately, in Pakistan, from Osama bin Laden on down, Islamic terrorists have have ties to the Pakistani Islamic terrorist regime. And Islamic terrorists have long since learned to play the victimhood game.
Despite what you might see on social media, this isn’t World War III. (Ukraine and Russia also wasn’t World War III. So beware of people predicting World War III at the drop of a hat.) But India is sending an important and overdue message. And our elected officials should be standing with India, rather than playing the both sides are bad game, and \no amount of betrayals ever seems to convince U.S. government officials to stop cozying up to Islamic terrorists.

Can’t see Comrade Starmer instructing the justice system to put these turds through the system within days and weeks. No bail to pressure guilty pleas then long sentences. As happened with Brits last Summer for speaking or defending their country.

But I understand your anger.
For too long we English have been patted on the head and praised for being tolerant – which is really only saying we have been taken for mugs and better shut up and like it.
We have seen our country transformed – in many towns and cities beyond recognition.
And it’s all OK ?
We are a multi cultural country after all.
But who said we had to be ?
How many more millions are going to flood in here, all with a sense of entitlement and the sure knowledge that anyone who speaks out against them will be locked up.
Our children can’t have families because they cannot have homes – because those homes are given to people who invaded this country yesterday.
Well every day there is a diminution of our country and our nation.
And now only now, after all the Pro Pal protests, and the murder of little girls and the daily knife attacks and rapes do we wonder what we let in through the gates.
And now we have foreign conflicts likely to manifest themselves on our streets.

The problem is not any race, ethnicity, or nationality. Pakistan could also provide the Houthis with nuclear weapons. Why it is that we are concerned about Iran potentially acquiring nuclear weapons, but not about Pakistan, which already has them, I can’t imagine.

Daniel got that right: Indian raids on Pakistan were very light. Although it could escalate thanks to the Paki attack on Poonch, killing a few Indian civilians
However, as I noted in the previous post on this new flareup, India is trying to do what Israel does & message this as a geopolitical India-Pakistan issue, rather than what it is – a muslim jihad on Hindus. There are enough Hindus who’re not buying it, despite their patriotic support to the Indian armed forces: they note how Hindus were singled out 2 weeks ago for their faith before being murdered, and “Terrorism has a religion” is all over the place. Given that factoid, there is enough justification for cynical Hindus to conclude that this is the ruling BJP trying to recover their sagging popularity among Hindus by doing this, and that nothing is gonna happen to Pakistan
One more thing: President Trump should avoid making a moral equivalence b/w the two countries by saying that it’s a shame that this happened. Just like the US would bomb the hell out of Canada if the latter did what Pakistan did, similarly both India and Israel have the right to retaliate against both terrorists, as well as countries that harbor them. That part of the Bush doctrine is still good: what’s bad is the assumption that after you decimate a country, you have a moral responsibility to rebuild it, no matter what it takes

The overwhelming error in the 1947 India/Pakistan partition was that India retained a large number of Pakistanis (Muslims). The Muslims are akin to a perpetually-metastasizing malignancy within India’s border, constantly fomenting religious hatred and terror. There is no room in any civilized country for even a single Mooslime. This is certainly true of the United States.
