The wildfires — can they be truly “wild” if they were deliberately set? — that have seen started by Arab arsonists in Israel, mostly in and around Jerusalem, and in the Judean Hills, have a long history. The Arab arsonists in the Land of Israel go back at least to the 1930s, during the Mandate period. The devastating wildfires in Israel appear to have been deliberately set.
“It’s a terror attack on Israel,” Eli Beer, president of the United Hatzalah emergency response organization, told The Media Line. He noted that fires were started in 20 separate locations. A security source also confirmed to The Media Line that a terrorist act was likely behind the fires, adding that several people had been arrested.
A map circulating in Israeli security circles depicts the locations of the fires, almost all of which are marked on the Israeli side of the Green Line separating the West Bank from Israel and Gaza—not in the areas inhabited by Palestinians. Hamas posted on social media a call for Palestinians in the West Bank and Israel to “burn whatever you can of groves, forests, and settler homes” and “set their cars ablaze.”
This is hardly a surprise. Arabs have been setting fires in Israel and in Jewish areas for a hundred years.
During the 1936 Arab riots, setting fires was a popular method of attacking Jews….
In 1936, the fires were so heartbreaking for the indigenous Jews of the Land of Israel that David Shambadal, a young electrician who was viciously murdered was found to have written a poem about the arsonists and the desire to replant all the trees that were destroyed only hours before his murder. I cannot find the original Hebrew version; it was translated into English this way:
Plant!
Sycamores they cut down
Cedars we shall plant;
Foes in the open
Shall never find us scant.The vandal of the desert,
Destructive is his hand;
With faith and fortitude
We shall build the Land.Onward, onward
We shall ever go;
Pave in the desert
Paths, in spite of foe.Forests are falling,
Fires are aglare –
Plant, plant, plant –
Brothers, no despair!”
A few days later, David Shambadal was murdered by Arabs. The determination of the Zionist pioneers, and those who came after them, to “make the desert bloom again,” to build Israel’s groves and plant its forests and construct its nature preserves, continued unabated. And the use, by the Arabs, of arson also continued unabaed. Now the Palestinians have shown the world just how little they care about the actual land “between the river to the sea.” They would just as soon set the whole territory on fire, together with all of the religious sites that are holy to Jews and Christians in the Land of Israel (they would hope to spare any sites holy to Muslims), than have any part of it continue to be possessed by the Jews.

Yes dumbledoresarmy, it is Allah’s command to follow the words and actions of Mohammed, the perfect pattern for mankind. Mohammed burned the date palms of the Jews. So burning trees is permitted in the struggle (jihad) against the Kafir to make the them submit and becomes Islamic doctrine. It’s a tactic that has always been done and will always be done since the doctrine is eternal and unchangeable.
You and I know this as do others who read Jihad Watch but the higher in power you go, the less they want to know. We need to broadcast our knowledge on every possible platform on the “net.”

From readings in the Old Testament it is clear that the Land of Israel was much more heavily forested than is the case now. 2 Samuel 5:24 Describes David using Mulberry trees as cover for his armies in fighting the Philistines. And in 2 Samuel 18 the rebellious Prince Absalom in fleeing from David’s actually gets his luxuriant hair entangled in the branches of the oak trees of Ephraim and do is captured and killed by Yoav. No doubt that the multiple sieges by invaders such as the Assyrians, Babylonians, Greeks and Romans saw many of these forest destroyed to create siege-works. Moreover even the Shari’ah laws of lawfare allow destruction of trees only for building siege-works and not for rampant economic warfare.
