Facebook top dog Mark Zuckerberg’s Jan. 2025 announcement that he was ending the social media giant’s censorship practices appeared to be a remarkable turnaround. It seemed for a moment as if it heralded nothing less than a genuine crack in the hitherto unassailable edifice of the left’s hatred for the freedom of speech and demand that everyone echo its political and cultural line or suffer the consequences, which began with being deplatformed and ended with the threat of personal and professional ruin as a publicly labeled “racist,” “transphobe,” or “MAGA Republican.” No such luck. Facebook is just as censorious, and far-left, now as it has ever been.

Syria Now Controlled By ISIS: Mass Slaughter Continues, Upwards of 50,000 Killed

The jihadists took over Syria with Turkey President Erdogan’s arms, training, and cash.
According to an article published in the Trkiye newspaper on Monday March 17, 2025, “Turkey will train the country’s army in two military bases it will establish in Syria.”
The same newspaper reported that “Turkey and Syria will sign a joint defense agreement. According to the agreement, which is expected to be signed soon, Ankara will help Syria if Damascus faces a sudden threat.”

The Trkiye newspaper also informed the government’s plan to have fifty Turkish Air Force F-16 jetfighters nest inside the new bases to support and protect the ISIS arm -Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS)- from collapse until a new Syrian air force is established, according to the paper.

Genocide in the Syrian Coast: A Cry for Justice
What is happening in the Syrian coast against the Alawite community amounts to genocide in all its forms: physical, biological, cultural, economic, and political.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, led by al-Jolani, is carrying out systematic extermination practices including:
– Mass executions and field killings with tens of thousands of victims, including women, children, and the elderly
– Arbitrary detention of more than 30,000 Alawites subjected to torture in al-Jolani’s prisons
– Daily kidnappings, especially targeting women
– Destruction of religious shrines and prohibition of religious practices
– Economic marginalization, dismissal from jobs, assassination of academic elites, and shutting down service institutions
All these crimes are documented in hundreds of videos confirming that the new Ministry of Defense is responsible for these atrocities, where members and leaders from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and affiliated factions appear boasting about their crimes against Alawites.
Despite similarities with previous international genocides (Rwanda, Srebrenica, Yazidis) that prompted international intervention, the international community still remains a spectator to the Alawite tragedy.
The pressing moral question: How many children must be slaughtered, how many women enslaved, and how many young men must be butchered before the world takes action?
Today we await a strong moral stance from the Security Council to stop these brutal massacres.

1. Foreign Complicity: The Turkish and Qatari governments are actively supporting the new jihadist-led Syrian regime under the terrorist leader Ahmed al-Shar (alias “al-Golani”). This support includes a coordinated media disinformation campaign to downplay casualty numbers and falsely attribute crimes to factions loyal to the former Syrian government—a narrative that is utterly false.
2. Systematic Cover-Ups: The jihadist regime is erasing evidence through horrific methods: burning victims’ remains, dumping bodies at sea, and burying them in mass graves. They strictly prohibit documentation of casualties, and all entities involved in medical aid or body recovery are complicit in this cover-up, operating under the regime’s authority.
3. Suppression of Truth: Journalists and activists here risk execution or forced disappearance if they attempt to document these crimes. This climate of terror makes verifying accurate figures nearly impossible.
That said, Pamela, entire villages and neighborhoods have been wiped out. In some cases, 100–300–1000 individuals per village were executed—sometimes targeting only men, other times massacring entire families, including women and children. For example, the residential district of [ Hay al-Qusur ] in Baniyas (Tartus Province) was completely eradicated. This is not an isolated incident; hundreds of villages and urban areas have suffered similar fates, proving the death toll is catastrophically high.
