I’m wondering if antisemitism goes back even further than the early Christians. Didn’t the Romans also hate the Jews because they refused to honor the Greek/Roman gods?

Cain hated and killed his brother due to anger at Abel being given a blessing of approval by God. Esau hated Jacob, his brother for ‘stealing’ his birthright.
The Moabites and Midianites, who were relatives of the Jews, hated the Jews.
God proclaimed an “enmity” between the people who would worship Him and those who refused, and in their refusal, hated the ones whom God would bless.
The Nation of Israel had many enemies, beginning, at the very least, in Egypt, even before they were given the Law and were told of the blessing promised to Abraham. Before that, Abraham had many enemies.
For 2000 years the J*ws were the Chosen People . . . the ONLY people who Knew G*d !
All other groups worshipped “Entities” . . . aka Demons.
After the Reserection of Jesus, Christianity was Grafted into Judaism . . . Satan’s target increased in size.
In the 6th Century Satan even created his own religion & political system . . .

The actural origin and source of the different forms of antisemitism , as Islam , is none other than Satan. This is be because the Devil has much malice of hate for the Jewish people ,for two wicked reasons
First , because almost all of the Bible books ,with the exception of “Luke” and “Acts of the Apostles ” has been penned by Jews through the inspiration of God. Therefore, now all humankind has the benefit of having God’s Word for them.
Second , Jesus was born , in the flesh , by Jewish woman , Mary, , then Jesus later went to the cross for humans to take their their sins, Second Corinthians 5:21,
Satan hates God and God loves humans therefore Satan hate humans and from the people of the Jewish race came the Scriptures and Jesus, Himself.
As stated above that is reason for all the anti-Jewish is from Satan.

There is the old question , which is “Who is really responsible ,as in guilty, for Jesus being crucifixion of Jesus ?”
The answer to that question had been given by the late evangelist , Jack Van Impe , who had preached that “The Jew is just as guilty as the Gentile ,and the Gentle is just a guilty as the Jew because our sins put Jesus on the cross.”
That statement of Van Impe is a reflection of Second Corinthians 5:21

The jews are a wonderful people but sometimes they are their own worst enemies.
In South Africa many Jews arrived as refugees form tsarist Russia.
They were welcomed by the Afrikaner and flourished here. Many went on to e successful business careers and professional and creative ideas. It is a fact that many Jewish intellectuals here in SA opposed the old regime and supported the ANC and left wing movements. Ultimately these intellectuals like Joe Slovo and Ruth First helped the ANC over throw the old apartheid government. Yet now the left in South Africa turns on the Jewish people. The same situation pertains in the US. So many of these left wing academics were Jewish . They pushed all these cultural studies etc and created wokeness. Now these universities are hotbeds of anti semitism
So many Jewish people have pushed these left wing agendas only to have teh left turn on them with anti semitism.

The analysis of the Communist underpinnings of antisemitism was fascinating. It is blurred by a few misleading indicators:
⮞ That aside from Trotsky, both Marx & Engels were Jewish, at least in ethnicity. Never mind that Marx gave us gems like “Religion is the opium of the masses” or “Man created God, God did not create man”
⮞ These days, a majority of Jews are either Leftists, or Center-Left, at least in the US. I know it’s different in Israel, but people formulate their opinions from the Jews they see around them
In the Q&A session, the questioner who asked about the differences of the 3 faiths when it came to religious overlapping w/ temporal authorities, I didn’t see how the third quote about Judaism suggested that Jews subsume their identity to that of the city they were entering. It sounded more like the cliche “When in Rome, do what the Romans do”. In other words, that verse seemed to say nothing to Jews about whether, and to what extent, should they respect secular authority
Good program, although wish there were more Q&As. Not counting the UCLA student who seemed to be batting for her muslim schoolmates
