Obama Defends Hamas-Supporting Students

Urges universities to defy Trump.

Not exactly a surprise to anyone.

Obama did more than any president to turn his party and the country against Israel. You never had to guess which side of the debate between campus Hamas supporters and Jewish students and faculty he would be on. But, in typically dishonest fashion, Obama also sticks to generalities and provides no actual context.

“I’m more deeply concerned with a federal government that threatens universities if they don’t give up students who are exercising their right to free speech,” Obama said at one point in his college convo.

Obama’s talking about students advocating for Hamas and the murder of Jews, but he refuses to say, hiding behind the false claim that this is about “freedom of speech”. As usual, he knows what he’s doing and is once again spinning the worst anti-American policies as embodying American values.

And so foreign students calling for “Death to America” and the “destruction of western civilization”  are the real heroes, according to Obama, but that is what he always stood for.

Then Obama urged colleges to defy the Trump administration. “If you are a university, you may have to figure out, are we in fact doing things right? Have we in fact violated our own values, our own code, violated the law in some fashion? If not, and you’re just being intimidated, well, you should be able to say, that’s why we got this big endowment.”

“It has been easy during most of our lifetimes to say you are a progressive or say you are for social justice or say you’re for free speech and not have to pay a price for it. Now we’re at one of those moments where, you know what? It’s not enough just to say you’re for something; you may actually have to do something and possibly sacrifice a little bit.”

What’s Obama sacrificing? Hush. No need to ask that question. Or any details about what the actual issues at stake are.

      Well I am all for cutting federal grants to these universities and letting them use their endowment to make hay. Be brave universities. You don’t need mean old Trump’s money.

        Those protesters are NOT standing for HAMAS (which is a political party and won the last and only free & fair elections, in the OCCUPIED Palestinian Territories)….they are protesting in favour of the Palstn PEOPLE, who were UNDER TOTAL SIEGE in Gaza for 16 years….TOTAL SIEIGE, yes)

        HOW would you react under those conditions?…shower roses on your occupiers, subjugators & oppressors?….or would you exercise your RIGHT to strive for FREEDOM, a right guaranteed under Int.Law?

        Look at the high number of babies, children, women, journalist, emergency responders, doctors, educators…massacred in Gaza, by US weapons of ‘mad’ destruction…..are those American values?? really??

          The idea that suypporting such barbarism is “disadvantage intellectual progress in the US” is grotesque.

          Then, Israel left Gaza in 2005–it is not under “occupation”. And Hamas could have held electons since it murderously ousted thir rivals Fatah–but they have never wanted to.

        • No. That actually was discussed wrt the Burmese leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who lost a lot of other prizes she had won for refusing to oppose her country’s crackdown on Rohingya muslims, who were jihadists behind an insurrection in Burma’s Rakhine province. However, she didn’t lose her Nobel prize b’cos a Nobel prize cannot be revoked as per the statutes of the Nobel foundation, and neither did Alfred Nobel’s will consider such a possibility

    President Trump has said no more money for the u’s that defy his orders. If enough student visa’s are rejected by Mr. Rubio, foreign funds will dry up too.

    So, go ahead and listen to the liar from h e double hockey sticks, defy the EO. and see how many new students enroll

        Like the slur about Christians with their “guns and Bibles,” and “get down off your high horse,” and with actions against the nuns who didn’t want to fund baby-killing via his insurance plans, and when he refused to allow Christians who were being persecuted to enter the country, but brought in their persecutors…rabid mozlums.

        bo has never been Christian and anyone who has any knowledge of Christianity, will recognize he is an enemy of Christians.

        • People are not aware, because the information was suppressed by the media, that B.O. admitted to being a Muslim at various times. In speeches, he accidentally referred to his Muslim faith (a “Freudian slip”). In addition, at a public meeting with African leaders, he raised his index finger, a gesture universally used as a declaration of Muslim faith. (The single finger signifying Allah is the one true deity). The Muslim leaders present were visibly delighted; the Christian ones dismayed. When he met with the King of Saudi Arabia, he genuflected because a Muslim owes such obeisance to the person controlling the two holy cities of Mecca and Medina. He has also used language signifying a Muslim’s respect for higher-ranking Muslims.

          Finally, one need only look at his record. His support for Islam was obvious, and his hatred for Israel visceral and personal as well as obvious. The poison fairly oozed from him. His purported Christianity was only a facade. And his “Christian” pastor came from a black Muslim background and was full of racism and hatred toward Jews. B.O. dedicated one of his ghostwritten books to him.

          Born a Muslim, educated as a Muslim, and behaved as a Muslim. Pretending to be a Christian is Taqqiya—- the Muslim doctrine that permits and sometimes requires deception to advance Islam..

    • Both hamas and iran have said the students in the U.S. are helping them. One hamas operative worked for a paper headquartered in WA and kept the ‘students’ in the U.S. informed, while he also got information from the U.S.

      bo is a terrorist. the pretender was supported by members of the Weather Underground in order to be ‘elected’…the two main leaders of the WU “selected” him to run for public office.
      The WU committed acts of terror before they recruited bo to continue the reign.

    • I would note, somehistory, that this was a 5-4 decision with the male justices backing Trump and all four female justices not doing so. I don’t mean to push this too hard but, speaking in the aggregate, I trust male decision making more than I do female decision making. Yes, there are male fools and wise women, no doubt, BUT I am addressing here a very important generalization that has implications in the law and in most every other walk of life. And charges of being a male chauvinists will make no headway with me because of two things: 1) I seek the truth ruthlessly; 2) being as old as I am, I no longer care what people think of me (one of the few benefits of being old).

      • Wellington, I’ve had very few female friends during my life; more male friends. I’ve tried to figure that out at various times. Women think..often… with emotions, and many times, that is not the way that is needed. When caring for little kids and home, emotions can be the excellent way. Especially Love.
        When women get together in groups, they talk of simple, and sometimes, unimportant things, while the men engage in deeper discussions. This I say from my own experiences listening to both on numerous occasions..
        While there are very intelligent women, it seems that those women do not seek to be in important positions. The women on the “bench” seem to put too much importance on being important. For example: “A wise Latina woman.”

        It would be so very silly of anyone to call me a “male chauvinist.’ The few women friends I have had, have been lifelong ones. And when it comes to knowing who is my friend of the female variety, I can look them in the eye and see it….or not.

          I think that you’ve hit on some truths that are never, ever talked about in the mainstream media.

          Generally speaking, emotions override factual evidence-based logic when women are in the voting booth. My own sister is a prime example. Men still do this, but to a somewhat lesser extent.

          Your own thought patterns are a lot more like mine then those of most women.

          You are very smart – and highly informed.

          Men’s brains and women’s brains work differently I have no doubt. Basically, I look upon the differences as horizontal and not vertical ones, i.e., we’re equal but women have certain strengths and men have others. Women do utilize the right side of their brain more than men do and which is where the emotions lie. This comes in handy often times such as in the rearing of children as you mentioned or with that sixth sense that females have in greater measure than men. But men are more purely analytical (and why boys in the aggregate perform better on math tests than girls and all the social/cultural excuses for this have been exhausted). Even when dealing with matters of ultimate existence there is a difference. As Voltaire observed, men need God, women need religion. Take care, my friend.

          I agree….the brains are different, and each has strengths which actually complement the other.
          I spent many hours over many years, working closely with my father and alongside my brothers. They differed greatly from my mom and sisters in a lot of ways.

          And I really appreciate the compliments regarding my being “smart and informed.’ I’ll have to be careful or my hats won’t fit. 🙂

        • An old friend of mine and I were chatting about this very subject only yesterday (discussing the sometimes staggering behavior of our wives always being right, even when they’re wrong). Because women are tuned in to their emotional side – over and above logic – they never let a bunch of facts get in the way of a good story. E.g., “the poor, oppressed Palestinians” makes for a far better emotional, righteous story, than, say “how about all the terrorist atrocities committed in the name of Islam”.

          I know this makes me a male chauvinist in the eyes of women, but, guess what, I’m stating yet another fact.

          It’s just that some jobs are better left to men when emotions should not be the main ingredient in decisions.
          Some of us actually agree with the men on the Court….like Scalia was; like Thomas and Alito so often are, right. America could use a man (or more) on the Court who could think and reason as John Quincy Adams did.

      • Don’t totally disagree, but 3 of those justices are Dems, and Amy Coney Barrett turned out to be a total shape-shifter. In his first term, President Trump made good appointment decisions when he himself knew enough of the people he vetted (Peter Navarro, Steve Manuchin,…) but bad ones when he outsourced that research activity to other entities, in the case of judges, to the Federalist Society. Two of their 3 picks – Kavanaugh and ACB have been downright mediocre, and even Gorsuch has been suspect – once arguing for penumbra arguments in the constitution

        I do hope that this time, if any new vacancies arise, he ignores the identity politics aspect of it, and instead appoints people who’re most likely to be strict constitutionalists. In all likelihood, the vacancies most likely to come up before him would be Thomas and Alito, so he needs to come up w/ people as good as them. I only wish that he gets to name successors to Roberts, Kagan or Sotomeyer

        A few months ago, I heard Megyn Kelly say that her husband suggested not appointing any attractive looking woman to SCOTUS, since they tend to want to be liked, and therefore let that cloud their rulings. This was in response to one of ACB’s rulings

I would only note that the fact that Kagan, Sotomayor and KBJ are Democrats is indicative of what has happened to the Democratic Party, i.e., it has become the party of women and beta males. As for attractive women, all I have to say is that it seems that such are more likely to be conservative and unattractive women liberal.

      • Well said. However, there are exceptions. While I was in law school, I worked for a federal judge who was exceptional and at one time appeared to be on the short list for the Supreme Court. However, the female judges we have had on the Supreme Court have ranged from mediocre to imbecile, and all but one were left-leaning. Ginzburg was leftist and in her dotage, grossly unethical. Sotomayor is hateful and self-centered (“wise latina women are smarter than white men”—- really?). Kagan was no prize. Barrett has been a big disappointment. Ketanji Jackson is a dyed-in-the-wool imbecile and kicked off her career on the Court with grossly unethical behavior in her very first case. (Participated in the argument on a case involving Harvard when she was on the Harvard Board of Governors at the relevant time!)

  7. Obama did a lot of harm to America while President and he still continues to do harm. Basically, he doesn’t like America. Never has. Never will. Frankly, he sucks (and he’s also a hypocrite because America has been exceedingly good to him).

    • On top of all that, one major departure from tradition that he’s done: weighing in on the activities of his successor after his retirement from politics, or at least his second term as POTUS. In the past, most presidents – even Bill Clinton – had the class to peacefully retire and not weigh in, other than occasionally appear at party conventions and campaign for their parties. Even President Bush, who’s pretty anti-Trump, never weighed in on politics after his retirement

      If politics is the only thing Obama is capable of, he should run for and get elected as DNC chair, and then operate everything from plain sight, instead of through his operatives behind the scenes, the way he did the last 4 years

    Doesn’t Obama have his marriage to worry about? – I read that it was on the rocks (not in the way people have their drinks). Or if he feels liberated, why doesn’t he do whatever else floats his boats, rather than defending foreign students who’re gonna be deported anyway?

    • Yes, and not pronounced nod or a slight bow, but rather a deep and obvious full upper body bow for everyone to see.

      • I’ve seen him in full Muslim robes a s a young person. Unless he renounced Islam that means he remained a Muslim for life. I have seen no evidence of him renouncing Islam.

      • In an interview when he posed as president, he began a sentence, “my mozlum faith.”
        He had a painting of Jesus (not that anyone can attest to its likeness to the Man) covered up for his speech.
        And there are many other examples of his mozlumness. bo never would renounce the islime of his upbringing.

    Obama cannot have looked at his Law books in a long time.
    Hamas is proscribed as terrorist group by the U.S.A. . This must mean that it is illegal to proselytize for Hamas by anyone actually walking and talking in the United States.
    He must know that.
    He must know that breaking a law is not cancelled by free speech.

  14. So many questions: Obama has always been pro Islamic in his time as president including having a woman named Samar Ali in the fellows program. Who is she? She is a lawyer, specialty is Islamic Sharia Law, now works at Vanderbuilt in TN.

    I wondered why and the only reason as a theory she was there was to find a way if the Constitution and Sharia Law could become intertwined. WE all know they are not and never will be.

    Because Obama was pro Islamic a good idea is to check all of his EO’s and bills passed by the senate and house that favor the Muslim groups here in the USA and in the Middle East and other Islamic nations.

    Bet there’s so much pork filled bills that are out there.

  15. Who is the worst POTUS Bama or Biden, well Obama was running things for Biden behind the scenes
    so it is hard to say. They were both awful and Harris would have been even worse as she could hardly utter a decent sentence and would have been more easily manipualted which is why the Dems wanted her so much.
    I do not think the US woul dhave survived another 4 years of Obama diected Harris
