Nigeria: Muslims murder at least 40 Christians on Palm Sunday

This was a different jihad attack from the one we reported here. The genocide of Christians in Nigeria is ongoing. The government does nothing; it is clearly sympathetic to the jihadis.

At least 40 people were killed in a brutal attack on a Christian farming community in north-central Nigeria late Sunday night, according to President Bola Tinubu. The attackers, who were reported as being Muslim gunmen, struck on Palm Sunday in the Zike community, located in Bassa, Plateau State.

Open Doors reports this latest attack brings the death toll to around 113 people who have been killed in an ongoing spate of attacks in Plateau State since the end of March. The watchdog group reports Muslim Fulani militants have attacked at least eight communities, destroying more than 300 homes and displacing 3,000 people.

In the last few weeks, the militants killed 3 Christians who were in the middle of farming their land, 11 Christians who had gathered for a funeral – including a pregnant woman and a ten-year-old girl – and at least five Christian women who had gathered for fellowship.

In the Palm Sunday attack, Andy Yakubu, a resident of Zike, said homes were looted and set ablaze during the onslaught, and the death toll could exceed 50. At the last count, an Open Doors contact reported, “43 people were killed, several houses were burnt down with people inside.”

Nigeria’s President condemned the violence and said an investigation has been launched. “I have instructed security agencies to thoroughly investigate this crisis and identify those responsible for orchestrating these violent acts,” he said, offering his condolences to the victims’ families.

Authorities have made similar promises before, but these types of assaults have become increasingly common in this region, where clashes between predominantly Muslim Fulani herders and Christian farmers over land and water have intensified….

    I had to look at my calendar to see what I had done this past Sunday. I attended a wonderful Palm Sunday mass and later had “dinner and a movie” with my wonderful wife.

    Way in the back of my mind, I thought it likely that muslims were probably slaughtering Christians in Nigeria. I tried not to dwell on it…

    Now it is in the front of my mind.

    • James, every night when I say my last prayer of the day, I think of those in Nigeria and all over Africa, and other places where mozlums do as they wish, and I ask God to help them by bringing His Kingdom to rescue all who are suffering.

      I recall Jesus’ words when the ailing man said, If you just want to, You can make me clean,” and Jesus said, “I want to. Be made clean”
      We can only imagine how much Jesus ‘wants to’ help all who are suffering.

        We can only imagine why–if he really does want to help them–he doesn’t.

    What, finally not calling them “fulani herdsmen”?

    • since the government is run by mozlums, any Christian who had a gun and killed a mozlum in self-defense, would likely be killed by the government.

    • We Christians need to supply the Nigerian Christians with weapons so they can defend themselves. But that is probably illegal in the eyes of the UN and the government of Nigeria and would be prevented at all cost.

      So why are the Islamic terrorist allowed to run wild and murder and the Nigerian government and the UN do NOTHING?

      • The “Nigerian government” is run by molzums…as is most of the un either mozlum or supporting the mozlum nations…so that is “why the islamic terrorist” is “allowed to run wild and murder”.

        • Another words we the tax payer are paying for both ends. Funding the UN and foreign aid.

And meanwhile, at our Maundy Thursday service, we were told we had to focus our thoughts on the pooor, poooor suffering people of Gaza…..we heard not a syllable about the *thousands upon thousands* of our helpless brethren in Nigeria who have been butchered en masse in the past ten years and more, and driven from their homes and farms, and robbed, and raped, and their children seized and kidnapped and ‘disappeared’ and enslaved and force-‘converted’ and the girls raped and ‘married’ to their Muslim rapists and force-bred to produce more murderous Mohammedans.. Mohammedans who adhere to **exactly the same ideology**, to wit, classical ISLAM… that motivated and motivates the Gazan Muslims who broke into southern Israel on 23rd October 2023 and indulged in a spree of torture-rape-mutilation-murder and burned and smashed everything they could and dragged men, women and little children as hostages into … Gaza.

    In far, far too many ‘progressive’ churches this Easter there will be sentimental simperings over those poor little snow-white sacrificial lambs that the eeeevill JOoooooz are killing in Gaaaaaza…. and the virtue-signallers will be parading – even in churches!! – in their black-and-white keffiyehs, the costume originally made fashionable by that most thoroughly depraved of human beings, Yasser Arafat….the black and white keffiyeh which for people like me, is tantamount to seeing someone proudly parading themselves in full SS uniform!!… or waving the black flag of Jihad.
