Iran is rushing pell-mell to enrich enough uranium to weapons-grade levels. According to Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Iran is just weeks away — the Supreme Leader only has to give the final go-ahead — from being able to manufacture a nuclear weapon.
It’s up to Trump, in collaboration with the Israelis, to prevent that from happening. As long as Iran remains militarily strong, other countries in the region, such as Saudi Arabia, have been afraid to openly oppose its attempts to build a ‘Shia crescent.” They chose to “sit on the sidelines,” hoping, of course, that Israel, or the United States, or both, might finally take care of the Iranian nuclear threat.
Now the IDF has destroyed three of Iran’s proxies — Hamas, Hezbollah, and Assad’s army — while continuing to bomb the Houthis in Yemen, the one proxy that is still standing, albeit much less able now to receive weapons deliveries from Iran, ever since the IAF has destroyed the airport in Sana’a and the main Yemeni port at Hodeidah. But if Iran were to be able to manufacture even a handful of nuclear weapons, it would no longer need those proxies; it would be able to intimidate most of the region, and possibly decide to use such weapons on Israel — so great is its hatred of the Jewish state — despite the certain second-strike response such an attack would provoke.
Iran used to threaten a terrible vengeance on Israel if it engaged in military action against the Islamic Republic. The Israelis went ahead anyway, and on October 26, 2024 destroyed both Iran’s S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, and the plant where it manufactured the special fuel needed for the ballistic missiles that would carry nuclear warheads.
And almost six months later, Iran still has not dared to retaliate against Israel.
Given the warnings about Iran from the IAEA, there is no time to waste in destroying Iran’s nuclear program. Deprived of their proxies’ military assistance, and now more vulnerable than ever without the S-300 anti-aircraft defense systems that the IAF destroyed on October 26, the Iranians are rushing as quickly as they can to manufacture a nuclear weapon (or several), for they understand that that will be their sole guarantee against “aggression” by Israel or he United States.
Trump has three options.
He could supply Israel with the largest bunker-buster bombs in the American arsenal — those weighing 30,000 pounds — and provide the IAF as well with planes heavy enough to deliver them, such as the B-52 bomber. And then let the Israelis take on the mission by themselves.
He could decide that this should be a mission for the United States to take on alone. It already possesses the 30,000- pound bunker buster bombs and the bombers big enough to deliver them. There might be some worry that Iran would in response attack the American bases spread around the Middle East, in Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia, but American defenses at US bases won’t be easy for the Iranians to overcome.
He could engage in a joint effort with Israel, with American bombers dropping the bunker busters on the nuclear facilities built deep underground at Natanz and Fordow, while Israeli planes attack other targets — airbases, conventional weapons storehouses and manufacturing plants — and also suppress any fire that might be directed at the American planes. While the Americans destroy the underground nuclear facilities, Israel would be responsible for hitting above-ground nuclear facilities and also to destroy Iran’s conventional military power, just the way it did with Assad’s military arsenal. Such a joint display of air power by Israel and the U.S. should reduce the fearful Iranian military to a state of utter collapse.
Whichever option Trump chooses, the end result will be the same: the Iranian state will have been deprived of the nuclear program on which it has spent tens of billions of dollars, and will have been stripped of its conventional military power as well. Such a colossal defeat, and the obvious waste of so much money, may be enough to bring out on the streets mass demonstrations by the 80% of the Iranian people who in opinion polls have expressed their hatred of the regime. And that regime, that has tormented its people and wasted their money for the past 45 years, will if the geopolitical stars are aligned, finally be toppled.

Quite some time ago it was claimed that Iran had enough 60% refined U235 to make several nuclear bombs if refined to the 90% level. Power generation reactors require less than 10% refined Uranium to allow controlled moderation so the admission of having Kgs of 60% refined Uranium can only mean the intent is the production of nuclear bombs.
The claim, paroted by media, that Iran won’t produce a nuke because it is against the principles of Islam, is a pure taqiyya fantasy. Pakistan has the first Islamic nuclear bomb and has threatened India with it, multiple times.

If the reports are correct (there is lots of room for doubt), then Trump, through Witkoff, seems to be OK with allowing Iran to enrich U-235 to 3.67% for civilian use. This presents the major problem of a clandestine operation to produce 90% weapons grade U-235. I personally think that Aidan has a few dozen kilograms of 90% U-235, but no way to deliver a bomb to Israel now that Bashar Assad’s Syria is no more, and neither is the Hizb’allah connection. All I can say is that I hope that the Ayatollah will refuse to agree with Trump and the bombings will begin.

Azerbaijan has its jihad against Armenia, while Turkmenistan followed in the footsteps of Turkey under its late leader Niyazov. Just like Kemal rebranded himself Ataturk, Niyazov rebranded himself Turkmenbashi (both meaning father or leader of the Turks). Turkmenistan today is a closed country, somewhat like North Korea but doesn’t threaten any of its neighbors, which is a relief. Just hope that country never gets its own version of Erdogan

We should have no doubt that Iran would nuke Israel the moment it is ready, This would result in the deaths of millions of innocent Israeli and Iranian citizens, but the mullahs don’t care- remember, they believe that Armageddon would hasten the return of the 12th Mahdi and the creation of a global Islamic caliphate. They may not be as batsh** crazy as the North Korean regime is but they are equally unstable.
Israel has vowed that it would not allow a nuclear strike anywhere on it’s land-thus the pre-emptive destruction of Iran’s nuclear weapons producing facilities-which MUST happen – and Israel doesn’t need our help with the mission; they have demonstrated their ability. So, I say give them whatever munitions, aircraft, etc. they need but do not take part in the actual strike.

Since Iran is probably not going to announce to the world that it has succeeded (they will just launch), if Iran does manage to achieve it’s goal, how many nuclear capable missiles would they be able to produce? I know nothing of how ICBM’s are made, but my guess is that the process gets easier after the first one (?).
I also assume that if Iran was able to make several nukes, they would also target US warships in the region. I expect we would respond in kind and then things could get very ugly. Fallout from nuking Iran -especially if the strikes were ground burst -would reach the Caucasus of southern Russia in about 10-14 days, and this toxic cloud would continue east over all of the the 6 “stans”- Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan, all of which including Iran, are allied with Russia. In one scenario, Russia blames Israel as being the aggressor and moves enough men and materiel into Syria (Isaiah 17- the destruction of Damascus) and Israel does the same along it’s border, and voila – we have the makings of a Psalm 83 war.
Also, would Israel’s Iron Dome be able to intercept it/them, or would an ICBM be traveling too fast to knock it down? Our THAAD anti missile interceptors have proven to be useless -or as one expert said, “being able to shoot down an ICBM with a missle defense is like trying to hit a bullet with a bullet.”
This takes me back to my point-that Israel must stop Iran before it becomes nuclear capable.
