Isolating and targeting the Israeli ambassador to Ethiopia, Avraham Neguise, is beyond the pale.
The African Union (AU) views itself as obligated to support the UN gang-up on Israel, deeming the Jewish state to be an “occupier.” The AU have also formed a united agenda with Palestinians, viewing them to have suffered “grave injustices such as colonialism, racial discrimination, and apartheid.” Nothing is ever mentioned about Israel’s ancient history, nor of the ruthless jihad against it. These victimology types are notorious for ignoring history. They also disregarded Operation Moses, the dangerous mission that Israel embarked upon to rescue and bring home thousands of Ethiopian Jews to Israel, even as the African Union calls Israel racist.
“Israel envoy expelled from AU meeting,” Middle East Monitor, April 7, 2025:
The Israeli ambassador to Ethiopia, Avraham Neguise, was expelled from the African Union headquarters after member states refused to participate in an annual meeting in his presence, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said today.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will take the necessary diplomatic steps with the relevant parties to make clear the gravity with which we view this event,” Ministry spokesperson Oren Marmorstein said.
the African Union (AU) joined South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in February and has declared that Israel “is committing genocide” against the Palestinian people “and must be prosecuted internationally.”…

The authorities in The Land of Cush apparently don’t know its history. Ethiopia needs Israel MUCH more than Israel needs Ethiopia , and it would have been a very good idea to summon the ambassador and ask him if the allegations against Israel are true and to explain his side of the story, instead of their knee-jerk reaction to expel him. But, what do you expect from a nation where the median IQ is 68?

I know that Africa is Israel’s neighbor, but I daresay Jerusalem gives undue importance to the continent in terms of its influence outreach. Most African countries – particularly the large ones like Sudan and Congo – are failed states, and Israel isn’t gaining much by whatever it’s investing there, be it money or attention
