This recalls the classic Islamic theological distinction that jihad is an obligation on the community as a whole (fard kifaya), and an individual is released from it if others are taking it up, but when a non-Muslim force enters a Muslim land, so-called defensive jihad becomes the individual obligation of every Muslim (fard ‘ayn) rather than a collective obligation of the entire umma, and need not be declared by anyone.

The Grand Mufti of Pakistan, Muhammad Taqi Usmani, has declared jihad an “obligatory duty” for all Muslim governments in response to Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinians.
Speaking at the National Palestine Conference in Islamabad on Thursday, Grand Mufti Usmani said Muslim countries had “failed to provide sufficient support to those fighting to protect” Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
“The Muslim Ummah has failed to provide sufficient support to those fighting to protect the first Qibla. What is the use of the armies of Muslim countries if they do not engage in jihad?”
The Grand Mufti also condemned the United Nations, labelling it a “toy” in the hands of Israel and the US, while criticising the United States’ unwavering support for Israel.
In his speech, Usmani also said that Muslims intending to go on voluntary pilgrimages, such as Umrah, should spend their money on supporting the Palestinian resistance instead.
“We assembled in this very same convention hall one year ago in an act of solidarity for Palestine. Yet, since then, we have merely held conferences and taken no real action.”…

The announcements by prominent religious leaders have come amid growing calls for jihad by Muslims across the Ummah.

Muslim leaders in the more backward Islamic nations seem not to understand that they are more than checkmated by Western power. Pakistan can brag they have the Islam Atomic Bomb but they cannot use it without risking obliteration.
Watching the Ukraine war informs us that the non-nuclear high-tech weapons are soon used up and progress becomes a matter of who has the most planes, bombs, artillery, and most importantly, well-trained soldiers.
Islamic armies are like herds of cats, as interested in internal competition as fighting with the enemy. The leadership of nations like Egypt understand that internal strife would handicap their armies and in modern warfare against the West, it might always lead to a Nakba.
They might threaten Israel, like Erdogan and call like “Big Red Beard”, the Grand Mufti of Pakistan, for Israel’s destruction by the Ummah but know it can’t happen at a national level due to the expected US response. As long as Trump is in the WH no nation will attack Israel first.
That guy, Muhammad Taqi Usmani, is kind of a caricature of Muhammad’s description, including the red beard. It is a central weakness in Islam that Allah left no instructions for authority succession and the fracturing of Islam was the result. No leader in Islam has the assurance of being chosen by Allah and if a Caliphate is ever created it cannot claim any divine authority for its existence unless there is another visit from a “heavenly angel” to confirm it.
Immigration to Western nations and there maintain excessive reproduction is the only viable route for Islam to conquer the West. Londonstan beckons.

Iran had trouble w/ its missiles reaching Israel. Pakistan would have better luck? They do have some long range missiles, named after jihadist invaders of India, but their range covers most of India, and westwards, maybe goes as far as Iraq. They’d run out of fuel before they got anywhere near Israel
Besides that, I’m sure that Arab governments in particular would love to take orders from a Paki mufti. Right now, Saudi Arabia, for instance, has a ban on muslims from Pakistan, Bangladesh and India joining in haj’s if they are in that country for other reasons. It’s b’cos South Asian muslims have been rowdy when it comes to crowd management in Mecca and Medina

There is peaceful Islam at work again. Islam is nothing but evil, barbaric filth devised primitive knuckle draggers back in the 7th century and the followers of bloodthirsty Islam have not advanced ever since that time .how anyone can believe that islam is or has ever been peaceful is completely beyond my comprehension.
