You just can’t keep Boston’s first Muslim illegal alien city councilwoman down. Not even being arrested by the FBI or pleading guilty for taking kickbacks inside a city hall bathroom was going to keep Tania Fernandes Anderson from going to work each day.

Some members of Congress are complaining that they can’t come to vote in person, but they have no excuse. If the first Muslim illegal alien criminal councilwoman can still come to work after pleading guilty, then so can anyone. (Until they’re locked up.)

But a politician who was accused of planning to “use the money from the scheme to pay a fine issued following an ethics investigation” was never just going to go quietly into the Beantown night.

Embattled Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson dodged news cameras Wednesday during her first City Council hearing since she agreed to plead guilty to federal corruption charges.

“Sorry, I can’t speak with you guys, thank you,” Fernandes Anderson said after telling reporters she would take questions after a city council hearing.

They should have brought an envelope and invited her into a bathroom.

The District 7 councilor appeared in the council chamber a day after the plea agreement was announced, hinting in the meeting that a resignation is on the way.

“I do hope that the conversations for my district, as I’m building out a transition plan,” said Fernandes Anderson, in part, during the hearing.

A transition plan to a cell?

Fernandes Anderson, who represents Roxbury, Dorchester, Fenway and part of the South End refused to resign when she was arrested back in December.

Big of her to go ahead and build a transition plan.

“I’ve been hearing since she was arrested that people had been feeling a lack of trust in government,” Councilor At-Large Erin Murphy explained. “The public is asking for elected officials to be more responsible and I do believe that we should be held to higher standards.”

Or you know at least the same standard as normal people.

Anderson, a BLM supporter who called the Hamas atrocities of Oct 7, a “military operation”, may now have the opportunity to plan her transition out of government.

  2. The reporters who had been promised an interview, weren’t very happy when she came out of the meeting and refused to speak to them.

    Lock her up, already. For that year and a day….which means prison and not a local jail. Then when she has served her time, send her back to the place from which she came….illegally. Or, just deport her, Mr. Rubio.

  6. I consider it a wonder that Boston doesn’t have an illegal alien as mayor. As it is, they’re ahead of other communist cities in the US by having a Chicom as mayor, beating real specimens like Brandon Johnson

    Maybe Mayor Michele Wu should vacate her office in favor of Tania Anderson. Give them their first muslim mayor

  7. There’s been some talk in conservative circles about stripping her of her Naturalized Citizenship. Apparently, that can be dome when the N-C is found guilty of certain felony crimes. Here’s hoping someone in the Federal Gubmint is looking into that possibility… Lord knows that there’s nobody in City or State Gubmint who has the guts to do it. Mayor Wu and Gov. Healey are both Commiecrats.

    Maybe A-G Bondi and SoS Rubio could look into this. 😉

  12. Why hasn’t Tom Holman arrested her? Just because the Bostonians put her on the city council shows me that they are complicit in aiding and abetting and harboring an illegal. What a travesty. Talk about flipping the bird to everyone. Throw the entire city council in jail along with the illegal then deport her immediately.

  13. If she is here illegally and not a citizen, how can she hold public office to begin with, If no one knew and she got elected, the government should remove her from office and charged her with election fraud. If found guilty Prison time and DEPORT her.
