Canada: Cofounder of Samidoun works to get Hamas removed from UK terror list

Samidoun (a/k/a the Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network) is listed in Canada as a terrorist entity under the criminal code; Charlotte Kates is its co-founder. “Kates has become an outspoken supporter of Hamas in Canada, leading public chants of ‘Long Live October 7.’” She has also “called the atrocities committed by Hamas in Israel ‘heroic and brave.’” Kates should be investigated under Canada’s hate and incitement laws; also, she is actively promoting terrorism. Why is she not being officially investigated and held accountable by authorities is a question that Canadians and Canadian human rights organizations should be asking.

The Socialist Lawyers’ Association of Ireland applauded the announcement about the legal submission on behalf of Hamas:

Samidoun leader Charlotte Kates assisted a British law firm filing an application seeking to delist Hamas as a “proscribed,” or banned, terror group in the United Kingdom, she says.

“It’s an honour to have contributed to this critically important application … against the criminalization of Palestinian resistance in Britain, the imperial power responsible for Zionist colonialism in Palestine,” Kates posted on X last Wednesday.

The military wing of Hamas was classified a terror organization in the United Kingdom in 2001. The definition was expanded two decades later to the entire organization, including the political arm.

Kates was contacted by Riverway Law to submit an “expert report” citing her involvement with Samidoun, a Vancouver-based group she co-founded with her husband that describes its mission as advocating for Palestinian prisoners. Samidoun was designated a terror entity by the Canadian government last October because of its ties to another terror group, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Kates has become an outspoken supporter of Hamas in Canada, leading public chants of “Long Live October 7.” She has called the atrocities committed by Hamas in Israel “heroic and brave.” In February, she attended the public funeral of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon, memorializing the terror leader as a “great anti-imperialist leader of our day, the great Arab and international revolutionary, the beloved speaker of truth and warrior of justice.”…..

    With her husband? Can you imagine? Her husband Khaled Barakat. Well that explains it.

    In October 2022, Kates was banned from entering the European Union, along with her husband Khaled Barakat, who is a leader in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror group.

  4. Omitted from this article is any reason (legal or otherwise) to support this application for consideration. There is no mention that Hamas no longer employs terrorism. The only thing pertaining to a reason for a request for removal as a terrorist organization is that Hamas has a political wing. Perhaps it is this political wing upon which this application centers. In other words, are they seeking to separate and delist the political wing only? If so, how will they explain the 50 political hostages being starved while hidden in underground rooms?
    Britain is a very soft target for destroyers (due to strict adoption of “political multi-culturalism”). Successful applications in Britain give serious credibility to any future applications or hearings in the West. Britain was likely chosen for this test because it appears to have the most compromised legal system and is weak on common sense.
    Mrs Kates is a tool for jihad advancement in the same vein as the dupes “Queers for Palestine“. Western educated jihadists commonly groom and use societally maladjusted western women for frontline political jihad agenda advancement. It is frustrating to see non sectarian white female protesters on the front lines abetting Jihadi rapists and child killers. By their doing so these women themselves are murderers and the police and justice systems must handle them as such. It is suggested that self important oddballs such as Mrs Kates revel in self loathing cycles due to entrenched, unresolved victimhood traumas. The depravity of Islam is overlooked/shoved aside by psychopathic animals (such as Mrs Kates) in favour of the overwhelming emotional gratification grasped through the artful grooming and media attention bestowed.

    Note that “Samidoun” is an organization founded to get “Palestinianian” Jihad terrorists out of prison and back to murdering Israelis. It is also behind a lot of the post 10/7 JIhad terror attack pro-Hamas riots here in the West.

    Note that Samidoun *itself* has been designated a terrorist group in Canada.

  6. I guessed that her husband was muslim and Ive often noticed that all the Caucasian ”females” that either love Ham Ass or marry a muslim are usually Fat and Butt Ugly and she is a perfect example of that.
    I just wonder what kind of Western ”feminist” agrees with the rape and beheading of young girls that look exactly like their friends, sisters and even themselves.
    They appear to have a very different definition of the word .. resistance.. than I have as attacking unarmed people, and slaughtering them in cold blood is not resistance as it is more like a cowardly act of men from a Fascist Religious Cult of Death that couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag but can only attack defenseless women.
