Bill Maher has committed the left’s unpardonable sin. Not only did he actually agree to meet with the focus of evil in the modern world, Donald Trump himself, but he came out of the meeting saying that Trump really wasn’t that bad a guy. Leftists all over the country were enraged, and Larry David, anxious to keep his old pal Bill on the reservation, fired off an acid op-ed in (where else?) the New York Times, taking the daring and courageous step of becoming the ten millionth leftist to compare Trump to Hitler.

Larry David not only cares little for 6 million dead Jews at the hands of Hitler, he cares less for the more than 9 million living Jews in Israel. Dr. Michael Alan Weiner, better known as Michael Savage was correct when he wrote “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.”

I still have complete contempt for Maher. There are a lot of people who have changed their views on Trump from negative to positive – most notable of them being Megyn Kelly, and I’m fine w/ them. I’m also fine w/, although I disagree w/, tariff opponents on the conservative side, who disagree w/ Trump on that one issue, while supporting him on everything else. But a guy who once thought it would be a good thing if the US economy crashed – as it did during Covid – to show Trump the door, is someone I loathe w/ a passion. In other words, Maher is as execrable as… Larry David!

What we really need is a majority of Americans to be celebrities, politicians, artists, college students, foul-mouth podcasters, and comics who lampoon government, shimmy over bed posts without commitment and act as if nothing they do or say degrades the nation – wasting freedom and life to be, “as bad as I wanna be”.
Oh, wait, that’s the aspiration of too many, already. David is another famous comic/writer aspiring to be continually in the limelight with the “fiery darts” hurled at others. He is part of what is destroying the nation. He would say, “yeah, looking back I wrote some nasty stuff but hey, I’m only one person, how much could it hurt?” (And I get money for it)
Isn’t it strange that Russia is becoming what we were while the American left moves us toward the old Soviet society? Russia went back to church in the 90s and began believing life has a purpose beyond socialism while our left goes athiest and wants its own Bolshevic revolution. It is no surprise that it would allow the death of Israel for an Islamic system that intends to wipe out athiests and sexual deviants. A life of relative ease means you don’t crack open Islam’s core books – too educated already.
Larry David is only a minute piece of the problem. Taken together, the decline of decency is our Achilles Heel. And if it keeps growing, we will all pay a price for it. No military can compensate for a society weakened to collapse by indecency because it is composed of the same.
The decline of decency shows the lack of gratitude for a life easier than lived by the majority of humans(~80 Billion) who never drove a car, had good clothes, enough food, electricity, nor consistent heat in the winter. One could imagine a progressive liberal prayer to deity beginning with, “What have you done for me lately, since Netflix?” God might answer – “That wasn’t me. “

I agree w/ Westman. I have seen YouTube videos by Russians of their country. One Russian girl went around interviewing Russian girls about feminism, asking them whether they considered themselves feminists. Almost universally, they said no, b’cos they thought that that would sink their chances of marriage and a good family
You don’t have Russian citizens having drag queen story hour. In fact, in Russia, gays & lesbians have it rough. Once upon a time, I might have sympathized w/ them. But looking back at the last 3 decades, when we started w/ gays in the military w/ “Don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t investigate” to gay marriage approval by SCOTUS, I have come to recognize that “slippery slope” is not a logical fallacy: it’s a trendline! So I’m fine w/ countries like Russia, Uganda & others persecuting their gays: not every country has to follow our example, which has been pretty debauched for the last 2 decades at least
Only thing: Russians are not quite religious, although the ones that are are pretty devout, w/ their ice-cold epiphany dips & so on. But they do have pretty deep family values: for instance, young Russians believe in supporting their parents after they retire, rather than dumping them on social security. The main difference b/w the US and Russia is that we are a country of individual rights & liberties, whereas they tend to cluster around families, friends and local communities. Different from us, but way better than most Western countries

Larry sez Trump is the reincarnation of Hitler. After the attempted assassination of Hitler (The July Plot) about 180 to 200 plotters were shot or hanged or, in some cases, viciously strangled with piano wire. So if Trump is Hitler my question is, where are all the bodies? After all, the Trump assassination attempt was a July Plot.

Either L David is amazingly ignorant and as Jew he should be well acquainted with facts on the Holocaust, or he is suffering from some sort of mental breakdown. It just goes to show that being producer of a major
hit TV series does not mean one is all that bright. In any case Trump has his faults but he was elected on a majority democractic vote whereas Hitler’s party only scraped in the third time, when the electorate were tired of elections. Hitler was threatening suicide after previous failures. Trump is a successful business man whereas Hitler was loser who only got to be leader of Germany through a series of ‘happy’ accidents. THose powerful business people who got him to be chancelleor thought they would control him!
