So Kid Rock turns out to be friends with both Bill Maher and Donald Trump, and decided it would be a great idea to bring the two together. The great summit took place last week, and on Friday, Maher revealed details of his meeting with the left’s Emanuel Goldstein, the focus of evil in the modern world. To the severe disappointment of a great part of Maher’s fan base, however, while Maher was in the Oval Office, Trump didn’t murder any illegal migrants or behead any men who think they’re women. Yeah, I know: he was probably saving all that for later. Maher, however, came away thoroughly gobsmacked: Trump was not at all like what he expected him to be. You’d almost think that the establishment media has been lying about him all these years. Nah, that couldn’t be right. Could it?

This is the same guy, who in 2019 rooted for the US economy to go south so that President Trump wouldn’t be re-elected. He got his wish: Covid happened, President Trump was blamed for it and didn’t get re-elected, and then we saw the economy go down even bigger
He can have whatever views he likes about the president – I don’t care. However, his rooting for the country to go down so that he can have his wet dreams of seeing a communist president (remember, his first choice was Bernie) is what makes him eternally repugnant to me. Other people have mended fences w/ the president, such as Megyn Kelly, and I’m fine w/ them. Bill Maher, I’ll never be, no matter what Trump himself gives him

Just when you think that Bill is becoming more rational, he says some anti-Trump stuff.

Yeah, I am rather forgiving of Republicans who were formerly anti-Trump but changed their mind once they saw how he governed. It included not just Megyn Kelly, but also some others like Brent Bozell (who’s now a part of the administration), RFK Jr, Tulsi Gabbard, and a few others. There are some Republican Chamber of Commerce types who still oppose him b’cos…. tariffs, but that’s at least a genuine disagreement on policy
Aside from RFK & Tulsi, there were some other former Dems who shocked me when they supported Trump – most notable being Leo Terrell. And of course, there is Alan Dershowitz, who claims to oppose Trump to this day while defending everything he does, as well as the man personally. I think voting (D) might be in an amended version of his scripture, whichever it is
