Bangladesh is boiling again, and this time, it’s with a series of violent protests targeting multinational businesses, notably KFC, Pizza Hut, Puma, and Bata outlets, in response to Israeli military actions in Gaza. The Islamic nation has found a revived Islamic identity under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus, and Islamic fanaticism is at an all-time high, paving the way for a surge of solidarity with Palestinians. Social media platforms are rife with posts from Bangladeshi youth demanding that the “visa to Palestine be made free so they could go and partake in the Jihad in support of the Gazans.”
On April 7, 2025, pro-jihad agitators posing as student activists staged a “Global Strike for Gaza” across Bangladesh. Nationwide demonstrations were organized to condemn Israel for its alleged actions in the ongoing war. Incidents were reported from Khulna, Chattogram, Sylhet, Cumilla, Barishal, and the capital city of Dhaka, as thousands of pro-Palestinian “activists” took to the streets after Israel ramped up its forces in Gaza earlier this week. They also expressed their anger against US President Donald Trump for his support of Israel, and anti-Trump slogans echoed through Bangladesh’s prominent cities.
During these protests, many businesses with foreign-owned labels came under the ire of the agitators. Enraged Muslims vandalized KFC, Pizza Hut, Puma, and Bata outlets; the attackers accused these companies of supporting Israel’s cause. They believed that these multinational corporations had affiliations with Israel, which justified their plundering and looting.
A KFC restaurant in Dhaka’s Mirpur area became one of the first victims of these pro-Palestinian rioters as they stormed into the establishment and demolished it almost instantly. Disturbing images of the attack were captured in videos that circulated widely on social media, depicting the extent of the destruction and the absurdity of the Bangladeshi Muslim mobs.
Anti-Israel protestors also targeted a new KFC branch that was being inaugurated in Barishal, with their leaders deriding the establishment’s presence amidst the ongoing violence in Gaza. They urged Muslims to boycott products associated with Israel, emphasizing the moral obligation to stand in solidarity with Palestinians through organized, aggressive rallies and public gatherings.
Showrooms of footwear companies such as Puma and Bata were also ransacked, and agitators were seen pillaging the expensive shoe brands even though both were non-Israeli labels. Images that have gone viral on various social media avenues show frenzied mobs smashing the glass doors of a Bata showroom with bricks, before jumping to amass shoes by the dozens. As per a report by Bangladesh’s TBS News, some of the boots even later appeared on the Facebook marketplace.
While Puma, a German multinational company, had turned Bangladesh’s Palestinian jihad sympathizers against them for sponsoring the Israel Football Association (IFA) in 2018, the rationale behind attacking Bata, a Czech Republic company that has no connections with Israel at all, has yet to be discovered. “It is deeply regrettable that some of our retail locations in Bangladesh have recently been subjected to vandalism, apparently triggered by these false narratives,” said a Bata representative in a statement reacting to the mayhem and subsequent looting.
At this point, it’s safe to infer that, riling under a shattered economy, the poverty-stricken protestors only needed a good supply of booty to take home and later sell on Facebook, which, ironically, is a Jewish-owned business. This is the point to which fanatically following Islam brings a developing nation.
Targeting multinational corporations through violent protests raises significant concerns for foreign businesses operating in Bangladesh. The incidents underscore the potential vulnerabilities these entities may encounter amid geopolitical tensions, and highlight the necessity for companies to be cognizant of Islamic forces operating within the political landscape.
In Bangladesh, public protests almost always escalate into violent demonstrations marked by vandalism. After former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fled the country in August 2024, agitators stormed her residence, the Ganabhaban, to steal her personal belongings, including furniture, clothing, live animals, luxury items, inner garments, and toilet seats. The vegetables and fruits in her garden were not spared, either. State broadcaster Bangladesh Television (BTV) was attacked and set ablaze, and a major data center was destroyed, severely impacting Internet and mobile networks nationwide. Protesters also wrecked metro stations, police outposts, and toll booths, causing massive disruptions. The economic damage from these events was estimated to exceed $1.2 billion.
Islamic jihad is now the new way of life adopted by increasing numbers of Bangladeshis, which makes it easy for jihad leaders to provoke violent sentiments among the masses, triggering protests and then hijacking these protests and resorting to looting. The 2024 protests and now the war on global businesses serve as a clear warning to foreign businesses: do not invest in Bangladesh.

The US should minimize trade w/ that 💩🕳, as should India. Let that country’s economy get flushed down the toilet, as it’s already under mohammedan mob rule there

That country was founded on a linguistic identity campaign, which was the basis of seceding from Pakistan. That’s how it got that name, which in Bengali means “country of Bangla (language)”. That said, throughout its history, Hindus have been the target of a genocide – sometimes more than others

Bangladesh, one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, is facing a severe air pollution crisis. In 2023, it was ranked the most polluted country globally, with an annual average fine particulate matter (PM2.5) concentration of 79.9 µg/m³—more than double the national standard of 35 µg/m³ and 15 times the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guideline of 5 µg/m³ (IQ Air, 2023).
The consequences of this extreme pollution are staggering: air pollution has become the leading risk factor for death in the country, cutting the average life expectancy by nearly five years (AQLI). Studies estimate that air pollution contributes to over 200,000 deaths annually in Bangladesh (World Bank). PM2.5 is a known trigger for respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, strokes, and lung cancer. Among children, it exacerbates asthma, stunting, and cognitive impairment, while in newborns, it is linked to low birth weight and premature birth.
These health burdens also come with economic costs, including higher healthcare expenses and reduced productivity, which in 2019 amounted to 11 billion USD or 4.4–4.8% of the country’s GDP (World Bank).
Reducing exposure to PM2.5 pollution in Bangladesh could prevent approximately 102,456 deaths annually. This includes deaths due to ischemic heart disease (29,920), stroke (23,075), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (20,976), lower respiratory infections (9,720), and lung
cancer (3,063).
Meeting Bangladesh’s national air quality standard could reduce deaths by 19%, while meeting the WHO 2021 guideline would reduce deaths by 79%, that is, 81,282 lives each year, and eliminate almost all asthma-related emergency visits and preterm births, as well as avoid 262 million annual sick leave days. Adherence to this standard would also reduce Years of Life Lost (YLL) by 21% and Years Lived with Disability (YLD) by 12%.

Bangladesh faces alarming levels of pollution and environmental health risks that disproportionately harm the most vulnerable people – the poor, children under 5, the elderly, and women, says a new World Bank report.
The Bangladesh Country Environmental Analysis (CEA) finds air pollution, unsafe water, poor sanitation and hygiene, and lead exposure cause over 272,000 premature deaths and 5.2 billion days of illness annually. These environmental issues cost the equivalent of 17.6 percent of Bangladesh’s GDP in 2019. Household and outdoor air pollution have the most detrimental effect on health, leading to nearly 55 percent of premature deaths, which alone cost 8.32 percent of GDP in 2019.
“For Bangladesh, addressing environmental risks is both a development and an economic priority. We have seen around the world that when economic growth comes at the cost of the environment, it cannot sustain. But it is possible to grow cleaner and greener without growing slower,” said Abdoulaye Seck, Country Director for Bhutan and Bangladesh. “To sustain its strong growth path and improve the livability of cities and the countryside, Bangladesh simply cannot afford to ignore the environment. Preventing environmental degradation and ensuring climate resilience is critical to stay on a strong growth path and for achieving the country’s vision of becoming an upper-middle-income country.”
Environmental pollution is taking a heavy toll on children. Lead poisoning is causing irreversible damage to children’s brain development, resulting in an estimated annual loss of nearly 20 million IQ points. Household emissions from cooking with solid fuels is a major source of air pollution and affect women and children. Major rivers in Bangladesh have experienced a severe decline in water quality due to industrial discharge and unmanaged waste, including plastics and untreated sewage, among other sources.
Timely and urgent interventions for air pollution control; improved water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH); and control of lead exposure could prevent over 133,000 premature deaths per year. Investments in cleaner power generation, clean cooking fuels, and stricter controls on industrial emissions can help reduce air pollution.
Consider this: Bangladesh has a population of 175,124,728 (estimated by the World Population Review website as we speak) on a total surface area of 57,320 sq mi (148,460 km2) of which only 50,258 sq mi (130,170 km2) is actual land area. (the rest is water)
Apparently, this results in a population density of 1179 inhabitants per km2 or 3055 per sq mi. Mind-boggling !
The logic seems to be that muslims in this shitty country (or even in general) don’t ever think twice before they start breeding like rabbits, and hence have overpopulated the Ganges Delta, getting in each others’ way all the time and polluting the environment they live in with no end in sight.
Bangladesh will obliterate itself, and they are quite welcome to it, in my humble opinion.

I am from Bangladesh and I can vouch for what’s written in this post. That vandalized Pizza Hut was my go to place during the (un)holy month of Ramadan when people get harassed if they don’t want to fast following the Islamic law. Watching my country going down the toilet from the West reminds me of how we used to be a truly developing country whose GDP per capita once exceeded that of India. The largest contribution behind that economic rise was the millions of female workers, who will soon be barred from going out of their homes. It just took 54 years for Islam to ruin a country to the core. Even back in the 90s, we had a progressive intelligentsia and cultural freedom. There were writers, musicians, movie theaters, and concerts.
