The indomitable Christopher Rufo recently interviewed a professor at Princeton — who preferred to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation by a vindictive university administration — on President Christopher Eisgruber and the “systemic racism” that now prevails at the university he directs.
More can be found here: “’We Can’t Hire a White Guy’—a Professor on Life at Princeton,” by
In 2020, Princeton president Christopher Eisgruber made headlines for declaring the university guilty of “systemic racism.” He meant systemic racism against racial minorities, but in truth, Eisgruber’s institution has practiced the opposite: systematically discriminated against supposed “oppressors,” like whites and males.
Though most Princeton faculty support Eisgruber’s “anti-racism” policy, a faction of dissenters—a few dozen in number—has grown bolder in recent months. In these professors’ telling, Princeton’s president is a vengeful administrator who punishes anyone who questions DEI orthodoxy. They have worked behind the scenes to assemble evidence of his discriminatory policies and hope the Trump administration will restore the principle of colorblind equality on campus.
I sat down with one of these professors for a wide-ranging discussion about anti-Semitism, radical ideologies, and DEI at Princeton. This conversation has been edited for length and clarity.
Christopher Rufo: Harvard and Columbia have drawn the most attention for radical ideologies and anti-Semitism on campus. Set the stage for what’s happening here at Princeton.
Professor: Anti-Semitism is really a symptom of a deeper malaise at Princeton, which is that the university decided to go woke and—as President Eisgruber wrote in the last few months of the first Trump administration—declare that we were “systemically racist.” But if we have been systemically racist, it’s been against whites, Jews, Asians, and Indians, in favor of other demographics. We’ve always been told that we have to give special treatment to women and certain demographic minorities.
At one point, I was a “search officer” in my department. When our department was going to make a hire, a search committee was constituted. A search officer has access to demographic data that the search committee does not have and can look at the short list and then look at the demographic data and say, “I think you should maybe consider this person or that person,” i.e., people who belong to certain groups.
In one meeting of search officers, we were told that 70 percent of the faculty are white, and that the faculty composition has to change to reflect the composition of the class of Princeton, which they themselves had curated. Having engineered the class a certain way, they wanted then to engineer the faculty.
I have a colleague in the sciences, and he was told by the department, “You can’t shortlist this person. We can’t hire a white guy.” This colleague went to the chair, who was Jewish, and said to him, “In the 1930s, that’s what they used to say about Jews here at Princeton: ‘We couldn’t hire them because they’re Jewish.’”
Everyone knows, but academics are cowards. They see the way the wind is blowing and either go quiet or jump on the bandwagon….
Let’s hope that the Trump administration gives Princeton the same attention it has given Columbia and Harvard, with special attention to President Eisgruber’s warm embrace of DEI. And the government should demand that the university admit students, and hire faculty, only on the basis of merit, not race or ethnicity. Perhaps Eisgruber, hauled before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, will so disgrace himself by his prevarications and his support for “systemic racism” that, like Claudine Gay of Harvard and Elizabeth Magill of the University of Pennsylvania, he will feel compelled to resign.

This is all over, and stepped up to demand that others become “allies,” to be defined by those making that demand. One work group here, where all the DEI hires are stuffed, is currently riding roughshod over legal standards, creating really dangerous situations, and being protected in spite of the potential liability they’re incurring.
Princeton, et al. admit only from this limited pool at a prestigious local high school and those admittees brag that “you can get into —- even with a C average.” That’s, furthermore, in remedial classes, years behind the other students, who never even merit an eyeball. The universities then cover up the problem by handing out ~90% A grades and assuring four year graduation rates of nearly 100%.

Has Princeton seen the AI future where University Degrees
are amusing pieces of paper, when Medical Doctors are mainly ornamental,
working part-time as shoe salesmen and driving around in Ford cars made in Gaza?
And Princeton renamed as the Heidegger Institute of Philosophy (HIP).where
Chatbot fronts made of pure titanium are are saluted with cries of ” Sein und Zeit ! ” ?

The president of Princeton appears to have the combined traits and self-satisfaction of Klaus Schwab and George Soros.
The DEI students might be wise to inspect the cafeteria food carefully to make certain they are not, “eating ze bugs”.

I believe that their major role in US education is setting up the system for foreign students to come to the US after earning F1 visas. That is one source of their earnings that can be dried up by simply cutting the number of foreign students to just STEM subjects

In leftist America White guys are like the Jews of 1930s Germany. But Trump is Hitler so it’s A-OK! Cognitive Dissonance best describes the left. Someone said, you can’t hate those people enough. Whoever said that was right.

These people could never create the advancements that have come about in America over the last few hundred years. They dont build anything they take over what others have built and destroy it. If America had always been in their vision all we would be today is a below average country.

That’s the thing: having known people in or from many countries I think intelligence (as IQ) is not the problem -it’s the culture into which anyone is thrown into at birth.
With the caveat that the Nobel Prize is given out by an opaque private organisation and has some scandalous omissions (see Hoyle or Gamow) it is still a rough guide to what’s going on in a country.
South Korea doesn’t have any Nobel prizes…
…apart from one Peace Prize which doesn’t count.
That does seem strange and it must have something to do with the feudalistic culture that still existed in early 20th Century Korea.
If you are ever there, just watch how a young woman will bow at the waist at the approach of a local bank manager (K-Pop girls are just fake).
So, culture is thought control in various degrees depending on the country.
And so, there is Islam. There are some Muslim Nobels but, famously, they are much outnumbered by Jewish Nobels.
Why? Because Islam doesn’t allow you to think freely. Consider some male who attends a Madras and has memorised the whole of the Koran with nothing else in the curriculum. His thinking is in an infinite loop of nonsensical but dangerous holy thoughts. Even when not murmuring the actual words, the infinite loop has taken over his whole being and so we get the machine-jihadist who without warning bursts into the town square. (That primitive machine-like state of mind is described by the Canadian/American academic Julian Jaynes in his famous/infamous book).
So it’s not just IQ which is to be admired -it’s also the culture which allows it to thrive. And excluding White Americans from the culture which they themselves created is the absurd crippling kneecap brought to us by the po-faced bow-tie DEI profs.
(Kneecap -must be the OED word of the year, surely).
But back to South Korea. One of them became Korean-American and was the co-inventor of a foundational semiconductor (cmos or mosfet), an invention thought to be worthy of the Nobel. But not for that Korean.
Maybe he should have changed his name to Goldfenger or something like that.

Yes it is the culture that was created by White Americans that will allow anyone who engages in it to thrive if they try. The left has told us who they fear and I like that. They fear us because they want to keep their jobs. Their do nothing, create nothing, inspire no one, jobs. A government job today is a perfect place for them to be. It wasn’t always that way but back then there were fewer government jobs. Hence the leftist push for big government. Those in America and those that come to America who dont join with our culture already know that they just couldn’t measure up if they tried so they join the leftist CEI (couldn’t earn it) culture.
The Nobel prize comes from the Swedes not Americans. Perhaps we need to create our own global prize. I mean the Swedes, in this day and age, give me a break. When it eventually becomes Swedestan there wont be any tolerance for innovation. The the machine-jihadists wont allow it. Any thought of that would send them into an explosive rage.

Isn’t that against the law in the US? Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin (search result from browser’s AI).
I wonder, how come the US authority under Trump administration does not prosecute the schools and other institutions. If the law mentioned above does exist, it should be easy to prosecute the schools.
