“Abdelmadjid Tebboune has called for solidarity and cooperation among all nations to stop the Zionist regime’s massacre of innocent Palestinians and prevent the spread of insecurity in the region and beyond.”
Yet Islamic countries and others are not expressing horror that Hamas used Palestinians as human shields.
Recently, “hundreds of people” took part “in the largest anti-Hamas protest in Gaza since the war with Israel began, taking to the streets to demand the group step down from power.” The incredible suffering of the Gazan people, thanks to the leadership they elected, is to blame for this opposition. Yet one needs to remember that there are 2.1 million of people in Gaza, and only hundreds protested. Also, while the anti-Hamas protests in Gaza got a great deal of international media attention, significant number of Palestinians are not rebelling against Hamas. Polls showed a rise in Hamas support after October 7.
Polls have also not been conducted to reveal how Palestinians view Israel. In light of the aggressive anti-Israel and antisemitic demonstrations in Western countries, that is quite telling, as are these other cases:
- The Palestinian Authority has mocked Iran, saying that “Palestinians kill Israelis more effectively than Iranian missiles.”
- Palestinians in Judea and Samaria have demonstrated “in support of Hamas and its terror atrocities.”
- Frenzied Palestinians crowded, taunted and menaced three Israeli young girl hostages as they were released.
- Many “innocent civilians” in Gaza took part in the October 7 atrocities, and held Israeli hostages captive in their homes.
These are not the behaviors of “innocent civilians.”
“Algerian President Urges Islamic Countries’ Solidarity Against Israel,” Iran Front Page, April 9, 2025:
The President of Algeria has expressed grave concern over the critical situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. Abdelmadjid Tebboune has called for solidarity and cooperation among all nations to stop the Zionist regime’s massacre of innocent Palestinians and prevent the spread of insecurity in the region and beyond.
Tebboune met with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Arqhchi, in Algiers on Tuesday. During the meeting, he emphasized the necessity of synergy among Islamic and developing countries to address the existing challenges against the rule of law, international peace, and security.
He also expressed satisfaction with the growing and positive relations between Algeria and Iran and urged the follow-up on implementing agreements between the two countries.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, in turn, highlighted the excellent political relations and close cooperation between the two countries in international forums, as well as their shared stances, including support for the Palestinian cause.….
Taffy says
Hey Mr. Tebboune, Gaza and Hamas would not have their problems now if Hamas With Gazan civilians did not attack Israel on October 7, 2024. The current war against Hamas Is a proper response, and Israel must keep fighting until Hamas is completely destroyed and out of power Permanently. You can whine all you want from Algeria or any other place in the world, but it will make no difference. Israel will prevail and Hamas and attacks from Gaza will no longer be a threat for at least the next 40 years.
