Fanatical Sunnis in Syria, both those who belong to the new regime’s security services, and those civilians determined to wreak their revenge on Alawites for supposedly supporting their fellow Alawite Bashar Assad (some did, some did not), were reported laconically as having “killed 800-1000” Alawites. The killings, which took place in the Alawite stronghold of Latakia, claimed many more victims, and were accompanied by more atrocities, than has been reported in the Western media. An appeal by French intellectuals and scholars was published in Le Point: “Several thousand Alawite civilians have been massacred in recent days in Syria by the forces of the Islamist regime. Newborns, children, elderly people, women, men: hundreds of videos, authenticated by various press outlets and NGOs, testify to systematic summary executions with the clear will to annihilate a people considered heretical”.
The Spectator called it “the massacre of the innocents” in the only European cover dedicated to this barbarity.
American scholar Joshua Landis published the list of the dead in just one village, Snawbar: 196 people. Entire Alawite families wiped out.
CNN also reviewed the footage and found 80 bodies in just one village.
Officially, the death toll is 1,300. According to many humanitarian organizations, the real figure is between 3,000 and 8,000. Summary executions, beatings with iron bars, machine guns, throats slit with knives, houses set on fire: not even women and children are spared. The Alawites are called khanazir (pigs) and kilab (dogs) before being slaughtered.
Even Alawites who were prisoners of the Assad regime and passed through Sidnaya prison are murdered simply because they are not Sunni.
In the West, only Marco Rubio and Tulsi Gabbart [sic] in the United States have openly denounced the massacres, while European capitals have dismissed Assad supporters and “isolated” jihadists.
The influx of “volunteers” has come from all over the country after calls for the eradication of “Nosayris” (another name for Alawites) and “Khanazir” were spread in mosques. The Islamic factions affiliated with the terrorist Al-Julani have set fires in the countryside of the Syrian coast, where thousands of displaced people have taken refuge, hiding among the trees and bushes….
These factions connected to the de facto leader of Syria, Ahmad al-Sharaa, set on fire the countryside where some of the Alawites had been hiding, either driving them out into the open where they could be killed, or burning them alive.
The number of Alawite victims may not be, as reported, 800 to 1000, but perhaps as many as 3,000-8,000. It is impossible to know; Latakia is a dangerous place for foreign reporters. The Sunnis from the regime’s security services naturally want to minimize the number of Alawites who were killed.
The other details that have appeared seldom, or never, in the mainstream media are the most grotesque, showing the real barbarism of these fanatical Sunnis. Think of the several Sunnis who held down an Alawite man, while another cut into his chest — he was still alive — and removed his heart, and then, to the evident delight of those Islam-mad hannibal-lecters, proceeded to eat it. Imagine what an effect that kind of detail would have had on a worldwide audience, providing an unforgettable example of Muslim savagery, had it been dealt with at length, instead of in a single passing mention.
And why was it that the mainstream Western media, in the same vein, did not report on the worst details of the Hamas atrocities committed on October 7, 2023? We were told that men, women, and children were killed. But nowhere in the Western media did we learn that Hamas operatives had gouged out the eyes, and cut off the genitalia, of Israeli men before they were murdered. Nor did we learn about the slicing off of the breasts and genitalia of Israeli women. Nowhere did we learn about the sharp items stuck into the rectums of Israelis by their Hamas tormentors, or about how family members were bound together with wire, and then burned alive? Surely this information is essential to understanding the full savagery of these people — the enemy that is determined to destroy the Jewish state and expel, or kill, all of its Jewish inhabitants.
Give us the full details, please, about the Sunni cordiphage in Latakia, surrounded by other Sunnis delighted to join in the ghoulish fun, and about everything else that the Sunnis did to the Alawites. And then report in detail on everything that was done to the Israeli victims on October 7. The world needs to know. Nothing extenuate.

There are some very basic tenets of islam that the Alawites violate:
⮞ They worship Ali, which is shirk (equating partners w/ allah) OR
⮞ They consider Ali a prophet, which puts them in the same league as the Ahmadiyas/Qadianis in Pakistan. Muhammad is supposed to be the last prophet in islam, and his successors are just given temporal control over the ummah. The shi’a – Twelver, Ismailite (not sure about Zaidi or Nizari) – consider Ali as Muhammad’s first legitimate successor, bypassing Abu Baqr, Umar and Uthman, and Ali’s descendants as his legitimate successors. But they don’t consider Ali a prophet

I don’t think the Houthis will be destroyed, at least not easily. There were years of Saudi bombing of North Yemen, and yet, the Houthis still stand. Not just that, in 2020 or so, they were even sending missiles the way of major Saudi oil installations, as well as Riyadh airport (although there were some reports that one of those missiles started from Iran). What is needed is for their armaments to be destroyed, like Israel destroyed Syria’s days after HTS took over, and the supply lines b/w Iran and the Houthis disrupted.
