The US has asked Israel not to strike Houthi targets in Yemen, a source told the Jerusalem Post.
“Leave it to us” was the US request.
Israeli officials are holding discussions on whether to respond to the recent missiles launched from Yemen, but the assumption is that, at this point, Israel will accept the US request.
Two missiles were sent from Yemen to Israel on Thursday, marking the first time in two months the Houthis had targeted the Tel Aviv and Jerusalem areas. Both, however, were intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems, and did not land in Israeli territory.
Save for a single drone hit on Tel Aviv in July that killed one Israeli and injured several others, all of the Houthi attacks with drones and missiles have either been intercepted or landed harmlessly in open fields. That makes it easier for Israel to leave future strikes on the Houthis to the Americans, as they have requested.
Earlier in the day, the US struck Houthi targets in Yemen’s port city of Hodeidah.
Sources told Ynet that the US requested that Israel refrain from airstrikes like those carried out in the past by the IAF on Houthi targets in Yemen.
The sources added that while the IAF strikes were carried out successfully in the past, the US believes it has greater capacity to conduct sustained attacks using aircraft stationed on its aircraft carriers….
Right now, Israeli planes are again conducting airstrikes against Hamas targets in Gaza and against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon, where the terror group has not been withdrawing its forces north of the Litani River, as required in the ceasefire agreement. The IAF has also continued to attack weapons that had belonged to Assad’s army, and are still stored in warehouses in Syria; Israel wants to make sure the new jihadist regime in Damascus does not get a chance to appropriate them. And then there is the continuing threat from Iran, and the possibility of a preemptive Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Given all that, the Israelis should welcome the American offer to deal with the Houthis themselves. American planes on aircraft carriers can be stationed much closer to Yemen than IAF planes at their Israeli bases, and have plenty of firepower. Not only airstrikes, but artillery fire from American ships, can devastate Houthi targets in Yemen.
Two senior Iranian officials told Reuters that Iran had delivered a verbal message to the Houthi envoy in Tehran on Friday to cool tensions and that Iran’s foreign minister asked Oman, which has mediated with the Houthis, to convey a similar message to the group when he visited Muscat on Sunday. Both officials asked not to be named.
Iran wants the Houthis to stop firing at shipping because this has only provoked an American response that is far more deadly than those in the past, when Biden was president, and could put Iran’s last standing proxy in danger of being utterly devastated. Furthermore, the Americans might decide that they cannot be sure of ending the Houthi attacks on shipping unless they hit the Houthis’ sole arms supplier and financier — Iran. For all its bluster, the Iranian rulers, having lost all of their air defenses to Israeli airstrikes on October 26, are in no position to withstand American attacks.
So yes, it’s helpful to Israel that the Americans are willing to now assume the whole effort of suppressing the Houthi attacks on international shipping. One less front — in the “seven-front war” — for Israel to worry about. And one more very big worry for Iran.

It well should be and needs to be reiterated that President Trump well understands that those malice-filled vicious and deadly savage jihadists of the Houthis are nothing but stooges of that “mullah regime” of Iran. Even though they tools of those Muslim tyrants in power of Iran, they’re nevertheless are very dangerous. Therefore, the only fitting way that they should be dealt with is by a very strong power of military might.

The terrible truth is awful but should be restated , which is that the jihadist slogan of that dangerous deadly and destructive jihad entity, Houthis, chant “Allah is great, death to the US, death to Israel , curse the Jews, and Victory for Islam.”
Furthermore, the Muslim terrorists of the Houthis are “equipped with thousands of long –range missiles and drones that that are either made in Iran or based on Iranian designs.”
