Whether it be Hamas, Iran, or al-Jolani in Syria (who is the latest jihadist to dupe the EU), jihadists cannot be trusted in any deals. They inevitably break them.
Jihadists are focussed on one mission: the conquest and subjugation of the infidel. In the case of Hamas, obliterating Israel by any means is the goal. Israel negotiated with Hamas for years, and even believed that the group was willing to live in peace with Israel, respecting the Jewish state’s policies of deterrence. Hamas manipulated the process, with Iran’s backing and Qatari money; then it plotted October 7 and is now working hard at globalizing the intifada.
It is bewildering that Western leaders continuously allow themselves to be duped by jihadists.
Steve Witkoff is one of Trump’s worst picks so far.
He’s shallow, naive, gullible, for sale, corrupt, has terrible ideas, and loves to whitewash terrorists and their sponsors.
Can’t wait for him to go. pic.twitter.com/zusbyDY3Uw
— Han Shawnity 🇺🇸 (@HanShawnity) March 23, 2025
Witkoff now states: “Hamas had every opportunity to demilitarize and accept the bridging proposal, but ‘they elected not to.'” He went on to say of Iran that the regime “cannot gain access to a nuclear weapon….It cannot happen, and it will not happen.”
But these are merely Witkoff’s statements, not plans of action. Yet.
“US special envoy Witkoff says Hamas ‘duped’ him as he blames renewed attack in Gaza on militant group,” by Prajvi Mathur, WION, March 23, 2025:
US special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said on Sunday (Mar 23) that he may have been “duped” by Hamas as he initially believed the Palestinian militant group agreed to his bridge proposal to extend the ceasefire in Gaza, only for it to reject the “acceptable deal”.
“I thought we had an acceptable deal. I even thought we had an approval from Hamas. Maybe that’s just me getting duped. I thought we were there, and evidently we weren’t,” Witkoff told Fox News on Sunday (Mar 23).
‘Bridge proposal’
Witkoff’s “bridge” proposal, which he presented his bridge proposal on his Doha on March 12, aimed to extend the ceasefire through April 19 and release five living Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners. This would allow time for negotiations on a permanent cessation of fighting. While Israel accepted the proposal, it said that it would have freed 11 living hostages.
Hamas, on the other hand, insisted on staying on the original terms of the deal, according to which the second phase of the truce was supposed to begin in March. However, Israel refused talks on specific terms of phase two as it requires it to fully withdraw from Gaza and bring the war to an end permanently.…

From what is have read on another site about Witkoff’s “hopes” concerning a deal with Iran over its obtaining MORE nuclear weapons, Witkoff knows NOTHING about the history and practice of Islam for 1400 years. If all he can do is imagine and project his own “feelings” onto a group of lying savages, he is useless and should be replaced.
The Perfect Man and Perfect Example for All Time established the “final, complete, perfect and unchangeable” example when he “negotiated” with a fortified community of Jews to give them safe passage if they would surrender their weapons and fortification. The men were slaughtered, The women and children were enslaved. Witkoff has no credibility advising or handling utterly fraudulent “negotiations” with people he does not understand.
In my opinion, Iran has some bombs now, designed tested and made in North Korea and used as models for more bombs produced in Iran. No country, no matter has small, poor or inept, has spent as much money as Iran to obtain nuclear weapons and failed.

Let’s help them fail some more.
Frank Anderson says
OG, they are not failing. They are quite successful at selling the lie they cannot do what Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Sout Africa, Libya, Iraq, North Korea, Pakistan and India have done for years. The instant they disclose possession of nuclear weapons; those weapons WILL be used in an all-out attack to bring back the “missing Twelfth Imam” as called for in Shiite Islam.
Can you think of another country thought to have a substantial number of working nuclear weapons, likely tested in South Africa, which does not admit their possession? Admitting having nuclear weapons brings on many new problems. Iran has some bombs not and is making more either in Iran or in North Korea. Frank

Talking with a terrorist or terrorist group is about the same as trying to talk a rattlesnake or cottonmouth out of taking a bite.
The fact that he spoke with hamas as if they were just another group of guys who had a beef with Israel and wanted an agreement on the cost of electricity, shows what a fool he is.
Claiming that he ‘may have been duped,’ doesn’t make him look good.
Anyone looking at what hamas has been doing, what atrocities they inflicted upon innocent people, then bragged about those demonic actions and believing that hamas could be honest in a “deal,” has to be absolutely brainless or evil or both.
hamas couldn’t even be straightforward in handing over the hostages or the dead bodies of small children and what was claimed to be the body of their mommy. Why would this fool take the word of those demonic sons of satan for anything?
This idiot, lying goon just wants to keep his high-paying, status job. He has no cares or concerns about the lives of the Jews looking down the barrels of the guns of hamas and their co-terrorists.

David Friedman would have been the much better choice for this position. Ditto for any of the readers or authors on this site. Once you know that the Ayatollah’s position is non negotiable, you make sure that he doesn’t delay, and you make sure that he knows that his Republican Guard and his Quds forces will disappear in the near future. You can alsouse the Clint Eastwood approach on him by saying that I don’t know if the GBU-57b can penetrate 300 feet into the Natanz mountain, but we will find out. do you feel lucky? In the beginning scene of that Dirty Harry movie, Harry knew that he fired all six shots, as evidenced by his putting the gun to the robber’s head and pulling the trigger. Likewise, at the end, he knew he only fired 5 shots when he disposed of the madman. The GBU-57b will indeed reach the centrifuge area, especially if the US drops two, one right behind the other.

Witkoff is in bed with Qatar who bailed his business out. He trusts those soft spoken Islamists that pretend they are civilized. Witkoff is a nitwit who is dangerous to Israel and the US.

Witkoff should be in prison for his incompetence.

Blame every one else for the failure, it sounds very familiar. How come I hear it everywhere, from the muslims who believe in the existence of supreme being to the lefties who do not believe it at all?.

Yes, Den, any one of us who have learned the Truth about islime and are willing to share that knowledge.

Witkoff is good at his core but way too naiive. He does not know that Islamism is Taqyyia.
Which explains his talk to pro-Nazi-Tucker-Carlson who, last year, has interviewed a real Holocaust denier
[ https://www.yadvashem.org/press-release/04-september-2024-16-52.html ] and s pro Islamic Fascist of Iran.

To be in Witkoff’s position and NOT KNOW the basic teachings and practices of Islam in sufficient detail is deliberate ignorance. “Deliberate ignorance constitutes knowledge of the truth.” Wyle v. R.J.Reynolds (9th Cir.). He needs to be replaced. Reading as little as the first chapter of Spencer’s Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and the Crusades would be enough to show him there is a serious lack of information.

So, “US envoy Witkoff says Hamas ‘duped’ him”
A US special envoy to the Middle East who can be duped that easily needs to be replaced – pronto.

If you have the time a recent interview by Tucker Carlson of Mr. Witkoff is very revealing about the amazing blindness of the two of them. The interview is essentially a primer on the practical aspects of state negotiations. All calmly discussed for over an hour. Mr. Witkoff does a good job of putting the viewer “in his shoes” as he prepared for the negotiation that resulted in the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. The big reveal comes close to the end. It dawns on the viewer that there has not been one mention of the abject hatred of Jews found in what amounts to the Islamic equivalent of the Christian Holy Bible. In fact the word “Islam” is never uttered.

When, when, when will these fools do their homework on the Treaty of Hudaybiyya: THE model for all Mohammedan “truce-treaties” with Infidels?
The Treaty of Hudaybiyya is why Hamas recently used the term ‘five to ten years’.
No ‘treaty’ made by Mohammedans with Infidels – and only made if the mohammedans are feeling weak and need a ‘timeout’ to regroup and rearm – is meant to last longer than ten years… and Mohammedans will break the ‘deal’ sooner than that … a lot sooner… if they feel they are strong enough to attack again, or think their enemy has weakened/ dropped its guard.
Never. trust. a. Mohammedan.
It’s a hard thing for people raised in non-Mohammedan cultural contexts – where agreements are generally meant to be KEPT – to ‘get’, and to practise, grimly, clearheadedly, in perpetuum; no matter how ‘nice’ some plausibly smiling mohammedan BS-artist/s may seem, no matter how great this or that economic or political or other ‘deal’ may seem.
Don’t trust them.
Just DON’T.
My problem with Trump is that he’s too naive!!! He’s too much a Westerner; too much in love with the art of the deal. He has to forget about ANY prospect of deals with mohammedan entities of ANY kind, and realize that the ONLY negotiation that works with Mohammedans is a great big heavy stick brought down hard and repeatedly. When they squawk for a ceasefire; hit harder!
And… disentangle the USA from ANY and ALL currently-seemingly-profitable arrangements with Mohammedan entities. Relationships with mohammedans – be it Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia or Qatar – will NOT end well for the Infidels involved.. not in the long run. Best to extricate oneself as rapidly and completely as possible and then conduct any future ‘dealings’ at a distance and whilst making sure to hold a commanding military advantage…

Well, I guess it’s good that he is admitting this–but how can he be so clueless? Almost everyone here at Jihad Watch would already understand what Hamas and other Jihad groups are.
