The Islamic Republic’s impunity is noteworthy. Clearly it thought it could act with impunity in the U.S. during the days of the Biden regime, and was likely correct about that.

A US jury has found Rafat Amirov and Polad Omarov guilty on all charges related to a plot to assassinate Iranian-American journalist Masih Alinejad.
The charges against them included murder for hire, firearms possession, and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
The judge gave federal prosecutors one last chance to make a final statement to the jury before they made their final decision.
“”It doesn’t matter who she was or what she offered to this world. They only cared about money and power.”
The jury received the case just before 1 p.m. on Thursday. The jury had initially asked for transcription material but while the attorneys were gathering materials, the jury sent another note saying that they had reached a verdict.
Alinejad was not in court on Thursday but was quoted by the Associated Press as saying she cried upon hearing the verdict.
“I am relieved that after nearly three years, the men who plotted to kill me have been found guilty. But make no mistake, the real masterminds of this crime are still in power in Iran,” she said….

Iran will grab US or British citizens and offer to trade them for these two assassins. Trump should do it and throw in an extra for the Iranians – 10 cruise missiles hitting targets in Iran.

Interesting that both of the convicted had Russified Muslim surnames. Seems as if the Regime Occupying Tehran is having to resort more to Russian originated organized crime to do their dirty work than invoking 72 virgins or other of Allah’s otherworldly rewards.

These 2 were apparently Azeris. While Azerbaijan is itself hostile to Iran, they are shi’a like Iranians: in fact, the Safavid dynasty, which converted Iran from a sunni to a Twelver shi’a country, started in Ardabil, which while still in Iran, was a part of Iran’s Azerbaijan province, which included today’s Republic of Azerbaijan. So these 2 could easily have been Iranian sympathizers, but used their Azeri passports to get into the US
Nonetheless, just like President Trump said he’s do w/ Houthis, he ought to hold Iran responsible for this attempted murder. They should not be spared just b’cos this plot was sabotaged

Where I find some amusement in the account is the money-laundering. How very often mozlums don’t just commit murder, rape, etc., they also engage in theft and money-laundering.
Money-laundering is a crime committed to hide other crimes. The murderers didn’t want the source of their funding to be made clear
