The position Israel and the West have found themselves in is entirely due to years of appeasement of their worst enemies, notably Iran, which pretended to negotiate, deceived the useful idiots of the West, and bought time to “dramatically” accelerate “uranium enrichment to near bomb grade.” One hopes that the good days for Iran and its proxies enjoyed under Biden have reached a definitive end.
“Trump threatens ‘there will be bombing’ if Iran fails to make deal on nukes,” Times of Israel, March 30, 2025:
WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump threatened Iran on Sunday with bombing and secondary tariffs if Tehran did not come to an agreement with Washington over its nuclear program.
In Trump’s first remarks since Iran rejected direct negotiations with Washington last week, he told NBC News that US and Iranian officials were talking, but did not elaborate.
“If they don’t make a deal, there will be bombing,” Trump said in a telephone interview. “It will be bombing the likes of which they have never seen before.”
“There’s a chance that if they don’t make a deal, that I will do secondary tariffs on them like I did four years ago,” he added.
Trump’s language represented a sharpening of his comment a few days earlier that if Tehran refused to negotiate a new nuclear agreement, “bad, bad things are going to happen to Iran.”
It was not clear whether Trump was threatening bombing by US planes alone or perhaps in an operation coordinated with Israel…..

Obama’s deals coming to an end ?. But even if the Mullahs make a deal, NO guarantee they will keep them. Leopards don’t change their spots

The American military has moved at least four long-range stealth B-2 bombers to Diego Garcia.
Just in case…

Trump recently deployed 7 B-2 stealth bombers to a station, Diego Garcia, in the Indian Ocean. In addition 3 C-17 Cargo planes have been deployed there, as well as 10 aerial refueling tankers. Cf.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMXsjoc0Nv8
Diego Garcia I understand to be in striking range of Iran, especially with all those refuelling tanker planes.
Earlier this month, Hegseth extended USS Aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman’s current Middle Eastern’ deployment and ordered another carrier strike group lead by the USS Vinson to the area.
I understand that the B-2 bomber is capable of carrying those huge bunker busters.
I understand that the Israelis don’t have B-2 bombers and I bet they wouldn’t be able to fly them at this moment, for lack of training.
You do the math!
Well, I will do it for you: the US is cooperating with Israel, quite possibly (more: most likely) with the aim of bombing Fordow and Natanz to smithereens. That would solve a lot of the problem Iran poses.
Waldorf says
I understand that the B-2 bomber is the only airplane capable of transporting the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) (‘the big one’) and is capable of penetrating deep into enemy territory because of its stealth design, so I guess my math is correct.
Waldorf says
Correction: Diego Garcia is out of reach of the Iranian rockets and airplanes, but with the help of the refuelling tankers this is not the case of Natanz and Fordow. I unerstand, by the way, that there is a third cave-like structure, where Iran stockpiles its rockets and things.

Physics permitting, it is to be hoped that the Iron Dome will sooner or later include a facility for returning missiles along their trajectory to the sender. Once it is well known that any country has such a capability, the nuclear stockpile of its adversaries simply becomes a redundant embarrassment, because, if they attempted to use it, they would get back exactly what they had attempted to deal out. The obstacles that I can see would be in finding a way to turn the missile without the sort of impact that would cause it to detonate, (perhaps through GPS?), in disabling any timing devices, in replenishing whatever propulsive power it had used up on its outward journey, and in keeping it stable whilst in anyone else’s airspace..
