Robert, Loved you totally massacring the song of the one Beatle I loath (who got a halo around himself for being murdered). Incidentally, the original song was written to support the unilateral disarmament movement in the 70s, to the advantage of the Soviet Union. Today, the same Leftists howl bloody murder when people on the Right call for peace w/ Moscow
Hope your Superchats appeal succeeds. If not, I do hope the YouTube people (if it’s not a bot handling your inquiry) at least give you the money that you earned these 2 sessions, if they ultimately determine that this is a hate site and therefore not to continue your superchats. On a larger note, even though I don’t think that the Alphabet company (in which YouTube is a member company) has an unfair monopoly, I still support an antitrust investigation into it due to them abusing their power and undermining free speech outside the government purview. While there are issues w/ both the founders Page and Brin, I do think the sooner Pichai is gone, the better

Most of the songs were not his. When his voice was isolated, it was evident it was nowhere near the quality of the others.
And ono made sure that he was given the song-writing credit after his death.
Harrison got the least notice for his work, but many say he was the best of the four.
I still enjoy listening to many of their songs.

Infidel,
We’ll never know for sure, but it’s likely that John Lennon – had he not been murdered – would have followed a path of increasingly extreme leftism.

I’m not so sure that John Lennon would have been an extreme leftist given what the democrat party has become. While I doubt he would have been a “Reagan republican” or MAGA, I think the dem’s stances on free speech/censorship, the woke crap, etc would have landed him significantly to the right of them.

Lennon was there long before the pro-crime Leftists: he was one himself. All those Soros prosecutors – Alvin Bragg, Chesa Boudean, Kim Fox,…. are people Lennon would have been proud of. He loved campaigning for criminals and getting them off death row, as well as other sentences
Yeah, on things like the wars in Vietnam and Biafra, he may have been like a Tulsi Gabbard. But aside from being pro-crime, he was also pro open-borders (“Imagine no countries,…) as well as communist (“Imagine no possessions…”)
Note that he had done his song “Revolution” much earlier, when he was still in the Beatles, which was a much saner song. He kept moving more Left the older he grew, which is the opposite trajectory of most people. I think he’d have been perfectly at home w/ today’s Leftists – maybe w/ the exception of the “Arm Ukraine forever”” crowd

If you recall, towards the end of his life, he was actively campaigning for Leftist groups on both sides of the Atlantic. On one occasion, he said that he’d pick the IRA if asked to pick b/w the British Army or the IRA, following the Bloody Sunday incident in 1972. In the US, he campaigned for the cause of James Hanratty, one of the last people in Britain to be executed before the abolition of the death penalty there. In the mid 1970s, the Nixon Administration tried deporting him, but ultimately got his Green card in 1976. He was there at Jimmy Carter’s inaugural ball
Essentially, after the Beatles split, his entire life was about propping up Leftist causes. He’d have been thoroughly discredited, had it not been for one Mark David Chapman

Infidel,
Thanks for your very informative reply.
The fact that Lennon was murdered in 1980 ironically saved his legacy from what he would have very likely become: an “in-your-face” extreme leftist.
That being said, John Lennon was an extremely talented singer / songwriter and overall musician – must give credit where credit is due.

Thank you, James. Most of the Beatles’ songs…most…are really well written and great music to get up and dance. It’s just that for me, lennon could have stayed home and the songs….mainly from Paul…would have still been great music.
Thank you for the well-wishing. And the same to you.

dolan is like his pope, a know-nothing who lays lies on thick. He misleads those Christians who listen to him.
Christians don’t go about murdering during any part of the year, and comparing what Catholics and some others do during this spring time with what mozlums do, and especially do during their unholy month of gluttony, is downright disgustingly evil.

Near the end of this Robert Spencer and David Wood video discussion they brought up the very importance topic of President Trump’s ultimatum he declared to Hamas. To paraphrase the President’s message in a very short way. It was “Release all of the hostage both alive and dead or else.”
Both Spencer and Wood , rightly agreed that now the President needs to follow through with his statement or it will be seen as empty words and the flagrance and violent and deadly spite of Hamas and other jihad entities as well as of those Muslim despots of Iran.
Therefore, if Hamas refuses to comply to President Trump’s demand., then the use of a very strong military power against Hamas will be the appropriate and right and fitting response.

Ramadan is an unholy month of feasting… not fasting. Have you noticed the hundreds of advertisements online and in social media showing a lavish amount of different food for the month of ramadan.
I was born in an Islamic country and lived 30 years of my life in that country before immigrating to North America. What I witnessed during ramadan is pure gluttony. They stuffed their faces all evening well into the night like there’s no tomorrow. Ofcourse they can fast the next day (if you can call that a fast) …. they are so stuffed that they can’t eat during the day.. hence they call it a fast.
Such disgusting hypocrites. They pretend to fast and object to non-muslims eating and drinking in public.

All of this about Ramadan is true–but even then, I would not much care–my problem with Ramadan is that it is the month of Jihad.
