OK, I’m going to state again what I have before here at JW and it is this: There are four givens in life: 1) death, 2) taxes, 3) Muslims killing non-Muslims for the fictional Allah; 4) Muslims killing other Muslims for the fictional Allah because they are not deemed properly Muslim.
1) and 2) affect all of us and 4) is preferable to 3). .

Can Syria’s coastline – Latakiya and Tartous – be ceded to and annexed by Russia, as a part of the Ukraine talks? It can be an exclave of Russia, like Kaliningrad, and they can keep safe the Christians and Alawites. The sunnis there can move to Syria or Turkey, as they see fit

Our Neocons used to lament the loss of Syria to the Russians, and welcomed this HTS takeover. Essentially, they stand for the genocide of Christians by sunnis when it comes to Syria. If Russia didn’t have and retain those bases, those Christians and Alawites couldn’t have fled even there

The massacres have not stopped yet and Alawites and Christians are still being butchered systematically! The State Dept. had a warning out for the “Islamists of Syria” to stop their killings and the EU’s inept message demanded that “both sides” exercise self-control! Identifying the victims as the perpetrators!
The Alawite and Christian communities should take al-Jolani to the International Criminal Court for war crimes against civilians–for Islamofascism!
Compared to the butchering Islamist jihadists of al-Jolani’s regime, despot Assad would be “Mother Theresa”!
