States Are Establishing Muslim Heritage Month, But Where’s the Muslim Heritage?

The Nevada State Assembly’s Committee on Government Affairs recently met to deliberate on one of the burning questions of our age: whether to establish a Muslim Heritage Month in the state, with July being the lucky month to get the honor. Now, if you didn’t realize that Nevada had any Muslim heritage to celebrate, you’re not alone. Anyone inside Nevada or outside of it would be hard-pressed to name a single prominent Muslim who hails from Nevada, or point to any significant Muslim heritage in the state. So what’s going on here?

As it turns out, Muslim Heritage Month in Nevada and the states that have already adopted it, which include Connecticut, Michigan, New Jersey, and Utah already have Muslim Heritage Month, established the month not because they really have any Muslim heritage to recognize, but in order to further the left’s DEI agenda. In a recent article about a hearing on the state assembly bill AB278, which would establish the month, Citizen Portal made that clear, saying that Nevada lawmakers who support the measure “highlighted the bill’s potential to foster inclusivity and celebrate the contributions of Muslim Americans to the state and the nation.”

You might be wondering exactly what contributions Muslim Americans have made to Nevada and the nation, and yet no one seems interested in filling in that part of the story. Citizen Portal noted that one “Austin Daly, representing the University of Nevada, Reno,” spoke in support of the bill, “stressing the need to honor the historical contributions of Muslim Americans to the local community.” Unfortunately, Citizen Portal didn’t deem it necessary to tell us whether or not the learned Daly actually enumerated some of those historical contributions. Was there a hero of World War I or World War II or Korea or Vietnam or any other war who hailed from Nevada and proclaimed his Islamic faith? Was there a prominent Muslim businessman or accomplished Muslim athlete who called Nevada home? Was there a notable Muslim governor of Nevada? A congressman? A senator?

In reality, there are only 7,400 Muslims in Nevada, and that is less than half of one percent of the state’s population. The real purpose of Muslim Heritage Month is that it “represents a low-cost opportunity to showcase the progressive values of Nevadans, illustrating how the state embraces various nationalities, ethnicities, and religions.” So it’s not really about Muslims at all. It’s an opportunity for the left to show its commitment to “diversity,” and to force everyone else to accept it as well.

  1. Muslim Heritage Month? Why, you are showing a photograph of it. All that needs to be added is the trail of murdered Christians, Hindus, Copts, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Jews. for the last 1800 years or so.

    • Photo is good to be seen though,by many out there who choose to remain ignorant or are too young to remember(or lack awareness of the past). Although of course,many will continue to choose to remain ignorant,unfortunately.

August could be the month to honor STD ,and what they given back to civilization .They have been around before Islam ,they seem to be popular with the extreme people in that cross dressing and try to groom preschoolers at public library reading. ,By their public lewdest parades and lifestyle the extreme members of the community must pick up a few in their life time. The main man ,the original gangster of Islam Mohamad by his life style, behavior and early death could have been mad with third stage syphilis.

    Well people where do you think these people who push for Muslim Heritage month are from? brought in from countries by church groups and worst by Presidents of the USA as humanitarian relief.

    Deceased Sen. Ted Kennedy pushed to have the immigration law changed and won, at one point Islam was banned from America because it is a theocracy, back in 1952 elected officials knew what a theocracy meant which is why Islam was not allowed in America but thanks to liberal democrats they changed the narrative that Islam was actually a religion and have pushed that thinking since.

    What is a theocracy? Theocracy in Islam is SHARIA LAW, it applies only to Muslims.

    Wake up people, speak up, the more Islam is granted these “Muslim only things like heritage month, Islamic holidays for school, sharia banking etc is the conquest they have been working on here in America and that people is the goal of Islam.

    As the second President of the United States, John Adams, had, so well, declared “The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity …. I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are eternal and immutable as the existence of God.”

      You are right on point Infidel the trouble is there are people in this country that fail to see the truth Islam wants us either dead or enslaved or covert there is no fourth option with Islam or when dealing with Islam. It is like if the stove is hot and even after getting burned the still put their hand on the stove.

    Let us see: a fake phobia which is meant to silence Free Speech.

    Terror, hoaxes, knifings, rapes, lies, more knifings, threats, more hoaxes, whining, demands upon schools, hospitals, businesses, sheriffs’ and police departments to pay up for saying the scarves some mozlums wear are a danger, or a hindrance, or risks to health, or the mozlum had a photo taken without it, etc.

    Demands for special rooms to bend over with derriere in the air, rooms for bathing their dirty feet, special days off work/school, special consideration during their times of gluttony; demands for no Christmas decorations or those for the special days for the Jews; …because they *offend* the mozlums who might see them.

    How many murders using large vehicles have mozlums “contributed”?,
    And no American should forget that they have infiltrated the House of Congress so they can be “reps” for their evil belief system, which demands that they kill us all.
