Kanye West’s Special House Blend of Idiocy and Evil

Kanye West, the hip-hop “artist,” egomaniac, and deep admirer of Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, has again made available for worldwide consumption his special house blend of idiocy and evil. When last heard from, he had been praising Hitler — “I LOVE HITLER, I AM A NAZI” — which led the German sneaker company Adidas to cancel a contract with him that led (don’t ask me how) to a reduction in his net worth from several billion dollars to a mere $400 million. That is still $400 million in quite unnecessary net worth for the likes of Ye.

Now, pour épater la bourgeoisie — that is, to shock the supposedly straitlaced bourgeois, which can no longer be done because nowadays anything goes, everything is accepted — Ye has come up with another idea that he hopes will garner attention. He’s posted on X a call for jewelers across the globe to send him designs for a diamond-encrusted “swastika.” What better way to attract the attention that West, or Ye as he insists he now be called, so desperately craves, than to once again bring up his deep admiration for the Nazis? It’s clear that Ye has no idea what the Nazis thought of black people — who’ll be the first to let him know? Controversial American rapper Kanye West said he is looking for “swastika chain designs” in a tweet on Thursday evening….

“For all jewelers I’m looking for swastika chain designs, please submit to swastachain@yeezy.com,” wrote West.

Chacun à son goût. But in the case of Kanye West, we’ll make an exception and say “no, this is not merely a matter of taste to which you are entitled.” It’s the surpassing vulgarity and stupidity and cruelty that are evident in his delight in swastikas, his love for Hitler, his declaration that I AM A NAZI that makes one want to move heaven and earth to reduce Kanye West’s net worth, still far too large at $400 million, down to zero. Perhaps his former employees — those who endured his antisemitism — will be able, in civil suits, to be awarded enough to make a dent in his bank account.

The Jerusalem Post article says in a photo caption: “The problem is that this self-proclaimed, proud Nazi is also an award-winning, gifted musician who has sold over 140 million copies of his records in the past two decades and become a billionaire, says the writer.”

He’s a rapper. So Ye is a master — apparently “award-winning” — of the crude, salacious, and idiotic lyrics that characterize hip-hop, and of the pelvic-thrusting that accompanies such “music.” But he is not a “gifted musician.” Mozart, Stravinsky, Bach, Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington were gifted musicians. Kanye West is a child of his wretched time and place, the insect of an hour, trying to keep the floodlights on him whatever it takes.

This comes just a few weeks after West’s clothing brand, Yeezy, removed everything on its website bar one product – a T-shirt with a Nazi swastika on it….

“I LOVE HITLER. I’M A NAZI,” West wrote in one post.

A Jewish former employee former recently sued Kanye West, alleging the rapper sent antisemitic messages including “heil Hitler” and made derogatory comments before terminating her employment, according to the lawsuit….

Will the audience for this “gifted musician” finally abandon him? Will the sneaker and T-shirt companies who make his merch refuse to do business with him? Will he be removed from all possible platforms on social media in response to his dissemination on them of his deep adoration for the worst mass murderer in recorded history?

Kanye West, Yeezus, Ye, has lost all power to shock. You can only claim “I LOVE HITLER I AM A NAZI” so many times before the crowd merely yawns, bored with such antics, and walks on. Ye is about to come a cropper. He’s clearly bipolar; right now he’s feeling up, but he’ll soon be falling a long way down. For Kanye West, unhinged as never before, a world of woe awaits.
