The Islamic Republic of Iran is now insisting that its jihad terror proxy, the Houthis, acted independently in its latest escalation. But Iran never distanced itself from the Houthis when they were waging its proxy war with Saudi Arabia, or when the Houthis launched hypersonic missiles against Israel, or were terrorizing the Red Sea (affecting shipping and commodity prices all over the world), despite Joe Biden’s impotent coalition that was badly losing the war. Biden’s ineffective efforts sent a message of weakness not only to the Houthis, but also to Iran. Weakness and appeasement serve to enable jihadists.
Iran was silent about its collaboration with the Houthis the whole time, but now that Trump is threatening both the Houthis and Iran, the regime is nervously distancing itself from the Houthis.

The US launched multiple strikes on the Iranian-backed Houthis overnight between March 15 and March 16. The strikes are not only extensive, but the Trump administration is vowing to keep up the pressure on the Houthis. Iran may now be distancing itself from the group.
If Iran loses the Houthis as a major proxy, it will represent another setback to Tehran. It will also illustrate the overall weakness of the proxy alliance that former IRGC-Quds Force head Qasem Soleimani constructed over decades. Soleimani was killed by the US in January 2020.
US President Donald Trump may now be kicking out another leg of Soleimani’s terror empire.
Iranian state media IRNA said on March 16 that “the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami said that Yemen’s Houthi “resistance movement makes its decisions independently.” He said that Iran is not involved in Houthis’ decisions…..

They may try distancing themselves, but Trump has already said that if anything is fired from the Houthis from now on, it’ll be treated like it’s fired from Iran. That’s the stance he needed to take
If any more Houthi attacks happen, he does have to follow up. Also, w/ Israel resuming operations against Hamas, and Hizbullah battling HTS on the Lebanese-Syrian border, Iran does need to decide whether it’s about to make its last stand

We need to put a boot on the neck of the Iranian leadership, and now appears to be a good time to do it. Shut down Irans money flow from its oil fields is a good stating point. Destroying Irans capability to build nuclear weapons should be a TOP priority for America and Israel as well.
