Leaving NATO would end our alliance w/ Turkey, and make Russia less paranoid about NATO near its borders. Since they know what a worthless fighting force Europe is. If it works out that way, it will be the greatest catalyst for peace since WWII

Mashal wouldn’t even have picked Turkey, just like he didn’t pick Saudi Arabia or Emirates. He knew that they would arrest him, due to their rivalry w/ the muslim brotherhood
His choices were Qatar and Turkey, and Qatar asked him to leave. So Turkey it was. Although now, he has the option of returning to Syria as well. Ironically, before he moved to Qatar, he was the one Hamas leader based in Damascus, supported by Hafez al-Assad. He left when the Syrian civil war broke out, deciding that he needed to side w/ the sunnis, which he is, over his hosts of several years

Hamas has laid waste to Gaza with its attack on Israel. Without Hamas, Nasrallah could have taken over the leadership of Lebanon and no one could have objected because it was his right, but because of Hamas, he threw everything in the trash.
