It’s early yet. A great deal is going to happen before the actual choosing of the 2028 Democratic presidential candidate that will upset any calculations that are being made now. Nevertheless, that isn’t stopping Democrats and non-Democrats alike from speculating as to who will emerge as the nominee of the Party of Enforced Insanity.
Kamala Harris has a big lead in the polls, but no one is particularly thrilled about that, least of all the Democrats who jumped off the cliff of Joy with her in 2024, and so the party top dogs are casting around with increasing desperation for someone to pull them out of the hole they’ve dug themselves into.
On Sunday, the New York Times picked its candidate (at least for now): it rolled out a puff piece over 1,500 words long, complete with flattering photos of the anointed candidate and earnest analysis of why she was the right choice for right-thinking people — that is, for the Times, left-thinking people. The choice of the moment for the New York Times is none other than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Swizzle Stick).
Yes, it’s really true. The New York Times is touting, as a viable presidential candidate, the congresswoman whose lack of basic knowledge of how the U.S. government works and other matters that you’d think even a bartender would know has made her an enduring object of ridicule among patriots. The congresswoman who has inspired ongoing speculation as to whether the “D” after her name stands for “Ditz.” The congresswoman who is so far to the left as to make Chairman Mao look like a capitalist roader. That Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
It’s precisely because AOC is so very far to the left that the Grey Lady wants our nation to turn its lonely eyes to her. “For the last decade,” the Times puff piece begins, “Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has been running for president, planning a run for president or pushing former President Joseph R. Biden Jr. to adopt more progressive policies.” By “progressive,” of course, the Times means statist, Washington-centered, federally controlled and authoritarian.
And now, the evil Orange Man is destroying the Democrats’ financial and legal foundation: “Democrats find their legal and fund-raising institutions under attack from the Trump administration.” You thought Trump and Elon Musk were eliminating waste and fraud from our government, but here the Paper of Record lets the cat out of the bag: what we thought were U.S. government agencies have actually been instruments for Democrat party fundraising and legal aid. Now that Trump and Musk are wielding the axe against them, and their socialist elder statements, Bernie Sanders, is 83, to whom can Democrats turn to save their slush fund?

If an AOC/Sanders ticket is the best they can do in 2028, I suspect the Repubicans will keep the presidency, hold the house and the Senate for a long time to come.

Will Kamala Harris run again ,will the democrats pull Hillary Clinton away from her non-profit profits ,will the old communist from Vermont keep death from his door to run in 2028?I would say all those factors the the NYT is pushing will make the republicans’ win the presidential race in 2028 if their candidate is Rubio ,or Vance ,or more then half dozen other who are not batshit crazy or ready for a nursing home. The young democrats the NYT push pro-illegal immigration ,pro -terrorist ,communist thinking hive minded ,or older then dirt democrats whose ideas and principals have age like milk in the summer sun. The democratic party 2025 is the party without a clue ,they push the same crap that got this country into the quicksand we are into today. What will they do when orange man exits the stage in 2028 ?Who can they make their boggy man after that ?Their whole agenda from 2015 till now is orange Hitler what is their solution to this nations problems ?

Perhaps their “mama’s “tried to raise” them better.

Many times, the songs that come to my mind and to which I listen, hit a chord of something I need to help me get through a difficult time.
‘Sunday Morning Coming Down,”….I realized that Mr. Kristofferson probably experienced those very things and expressed them so well in that song.

I really, really don’t give a hoot nanny (yes, I know what that is) about who the evil crew chooses for those years from now when Mr. Trump will have to leave that office for some relaxing time in the Florida sun.
We just went through all those years of ‘biden, this and biden, that,’ ‘harris this and that,’ and cackling her way across the various news channels and being told we have to wear masks, don’t talk or sing, or attend any kind of gathering, even a funeral, and seeing those who were yelling at us to stop missing, dissing and maling eat, drink and be merry.
aoc and sanders are still in there pretending they know more than a snail which leaves its slimy trail across the kitchen floor. And the so-called ‘news” sources want us to believe every lie they tell and then put our trust in the evil creatures they pick to rule over us.
They don’t even have a clue about choosing a ‘tree to rule,’ all they have are the “brambles.”

I think that a Democart ticket of Kamala Harris for president and AOC for VicePresident has much to offer. The very thought of this as a Democrat ticket sends shivers up and down my legs.

Democrats did vote for a elderly white male vegetable so there is no where to go but up from there. Keep in mind that among democrats up doesn’t mean the same thing as it does with non democrats. If you are dumb as a post and want to go in to politics and get elected your only chance is with the democrat party. The democrats will literally take anyone as one of their representatives. One of these days the democrats are going to nominate a corpse as their candidate.
