Mark Schmitz’s son, Marine Lance Cpt. Jared Schmitz, was one of the thirteen American service members who were killed in the Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) attack at Kabul’s Abbey Gate on Aug. 26, 2021. Mark Schmitz was thus watching President Trump’s Tuesday night address to Congress with intense interest as Trump announced that Mohammad Sharifullah, who planned the jihad operation at Abbey Gate that day, had been arrested. To Schmitz’s shock, however, the Democrats in the audience didn’t seem in the least pleased at the news. Welcome to the Democrat Party, 2025: the party that hates Trump so much, it readily sides with those who kill Americans.
Fox News reported Wednesday that Schmitz “said the Democrats’ reaction, or lack thereof, to the news that one of the masterminds behind the attack had been arrested was ‘disturbing.’” Although one would think that anyone in his right mind would applaud the arrest of a man who engineered the murder of at least 183 people (thirteen U.S. service members plus 170 Afghan civilians), Fox notes that “the news of the arrest was not met with a resounding approval across the political aisle. As Schmitz pointed out, only roughly a third of Democrats applauded the news, and none appeared to join their Republican colleagues in a standing ovation.”
Schmitz observed, “This should not be a partisan issue whatsoever – the death of our kids.” That’s right. It shouldn’t. And the fact that for the Democrats, it clearly was indeed a partisan issue was revealing. “You would think that every single person in that place would be standing up and applauding and cheering,” Schmitz added. To see the Democrats sitting there stone-faced at the news of the arrest of was “incredibly insulting as a Gold Star family.” He emphasized, “This has got nothing to do with politics. This is our military we’re talking about, and that needs to change.”
Of course it does, but it is not likely to. As many have observed, the Democrats have clearly chosen to regard anything that Trump does, no matter how good it is for America and even for the world at large, as “not normal” and something to be fought by any means possible.
The election of 2024 taught the Democrats nothing. Instead of retreating from their America-Last stances and stepping back from gender madness, the war on the freedom of speech, and the attempt to criminalize opposition to their policies, they have doubled down and are now the captains of a defiantly sinking ship. Back in 1972, the famed film director Werner Herzog’s movie “Aguirre: The Wrath of God” depicted a Spanish conquistador in South America slowly descending into madness, until finally he is piloting a raft of monkeys on a weed-choked jungle stream, all the while muttering, “I am the wrath of God!”

No surprises there. The Democrats, for the most part, seem not to care about dead Americans, either held in Hamas tunnels in Gaza, or left laying in the battlefield of Afghanistan.

I’m guessing that he’s unaware of the political climate today. Otherwise why is he shocked? Anybody who’s been even remotely following US politics knows that the Demorat Party of today is a rabidly anti-American party, and is more supportive of jihadists in America and abroad, rather than Americans either in this country or outside
If anything, it’s a wonder that the Dems didn’t burst into tears on hearing that a potential voter of theirs has been apprehended
My only negative reaction on this news is Pakistan being spun as a “friend” or “ally” for enabling his capture. Yeah, they’ve learned well from their 2011 fiasco over Osama, and know not to piss the US off over high value targets. But aside from that, they still support jihad at grassroots level, so Trump, Rubio, Hegseth et al shouldn’t make the same mistake that the Bush’s did in the 00s when they assumed that Pakistan was an ally

The democratic party has become the party of that embracing full fascist .Most people do not realize fascist ideology was invented in Italy not Germany .It means blind loyalty to the cause(symbolized by a bundle of small wood sticks rope together has great strength as long as the are roped together)it is an ex-strong blending of socialism with the government controlling all major factors in everyday life with the large business community being employed by the government profiting by promoting the government policies they are only free to make products(the government will free you from much regulation on how strongly you promote the party). If you are not a party member you can not get promoted in private industry ,you can not work for the government unless you are a party member ,If you are from another party you are the enemy no matter if you are a good worker you are or a docile non-involved political person .Mussolini was in the communist party in Italy ,he left it because he though in his opinion it was not strong enough to advance Italy as a world party. The democratic party in 2025 has demonstrated they are a mob group think borg ,that anyone who questions the “official” policies anyone who shows human emotion ,or self reflection on their own actions is the enemy.

He has been the target of assassination attempts and he has been the target of ‘honey traps,’ and bogus ‘news’ designed to send him upriver.
If he is correct….and it seems he is…then those things are meant for the rest of America…all who are in disagreement with the rats of the petty party.
They didn’t applaud for the little kid who beat cancer; why should they applaud when they hear that one of their best buds is arrested?
