Quran 4:176 Math problem mess for the estate of a childless deceased person having siblings. Read it and think of all the ways to interpret it. The solid conclusion is Islam often gets a share, and the women are robbed even if the only surviving sibling.

Just watched the episode. On the 2nd song that Hatun sings (which is really mediocre, particularly in contrast to the 1st, which sounds pretty witty), I agree w/ Robert in that song ended in a crescendo. Not how a song is usually supposed to end
The stuff about the Gnostic underpinnings of the islamic theory that Christ wasn’t crucified, but that Judas was, and the qur’an confusing Judas Thomas w/ Judas Iscariot was interesting. As was the sequence of the prophets, as noted by Hatun
So to sum it up, the chapter titled “Women” was about
⮞ The inferiority of women
⮞ Property inheritance laws
⮞ allah’s whimsical approach to who he leads astray, and then punishes for being led astray
TL:DR of 176 verses. Oh, and thanks for sending it where the surah ends. Didn’t like it when Hatun went until 4:3 and stopped: she should have completed surah 3 and then started surah 4 on a new episode
