Canada: Muslim ‘non-profit’ organization ‘campaigns to endorse candidates based on Gaza support’

One should wonder whether Canada’s Liberals would ever tolerate a Christian or Jewish organization heavily campaigning for a Canadian Conservative leader who unequivocally supports the State of Israel.

According to the website of the Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council (CMPAC):

We are a non-profit organization that works through community engagement, advocacy, and political lobbying.

The CMPAC is indeed engaged in heavy political lobbying, and is its lobbying really in the interests of Canada? Or in the interests of the Palestinian “resistance” (“from the River to the Sea”)?

The CMPAC has also teamed up with the National Council of Canadian Muslims to fight “islamophobia”.

MONTREAL — A group representing Canadian Muslims has launched a campaign urging voters to choose federal election candidates based on their support for Gaza.

The Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council says it plans to endorse candidates in several dozen ridings where Muslim voters could hold sway.

“This campaign ensures that the candidates support issues of justice, human rights and policies that reflect the concerns of our Canadian Muslim community,” executive director Khaled Al-Qazzaz said in an interview. “We hope to get candidates from all parties to commit to a principled stance as it relates to Gaza.”

The council says it will choose candidates based on their individual views on the conflict in Gaza and the rights of Palestinians, and will not endorse any party.

The group has prepared a list of 89 ridings with significant populations of Muslim voters. Fifty-five of them are in Ontario, with many in the Greater Toronto Area, while most of the rest are in and around Vancouver, Montreal and Edmonton. The council says Muslim voters play “a defining role” in at least 40 of these ridings.

While endorsements will roll out over the coming weeks, Al-Qazzaz pointed to individual MPs who have a strong “track record” on the Palestinian cause, including NDP MP Heather McPherson and Liberal MP Salma Zahid.

A related campaign, called Vote Palestine, has published a list of federal candidates who have endorsed its “Palestine Platform,” which the council supports. The platform includes calls for a two-way arms embargo on Israel and for Canada to boost humanitarian support and “recognize the state of Palestine.”

The endorsement list so far includes 74 candidates, almost all of them New Democrats, along with a few Liberals and Greens. It does not include any Conservatives.

Still, Al-Qazzaz said some Conservative candidates are “from the community and understand the community concerns,” and are in communication with the council.

“So it is not out of the question to support Conservative candidates who are principled on issues of international human rights and domestic civil liberties,” he said….

  2. Comrade Trudeau gave pretty much zero support to Israel during the war the last 2 years: from a Hamas POV, he was actually better than Biden. Yet CMPAC is dissatisfied? What do they want – Canada to declare war on Israel? Canada’s military is such a joke that Israel could easily win that by blowing out Canadian ships in the Atlantic itself

    An appeal to all Jewish-Canadians and Hindu-Canadians: just vote en masse against the Liberals. If you can’t stand Poilievre’s conservatives, go w/ Maxine Bernier’s PPC. But absolutely shun both the Liberals as well as NDP. Let them know that for every muslim vote they earned, they lost at least as many, if not more, Jewish and Hindu voters

    • Canada is on the same path as Europe, by choice, to self destruction, Islamization, and chaos. They are about to elect a 4th term globalist, WEF loving (under that kraut Schwab) Liberal government that hates western civilization, western values, and mainstream Canadians. The next Prime Minister, Mark Carney, is a proponent and member of the so called “Century Initiative” which aims to dilute western culture by importing millions of third world immigrants, and triple Canada’s population by the end of this century. Think I’m nuts? Just google century initiative..

  3. After so long, I still don’t understand how the non muslim in the west are pro Islam. In my country,
    I think every non muslim won’t support Islam at all, even though they don’t say it openly.
    I never find any non muslim who is pro Islam, except probably some “ex muslims” who are actually still muslims inside because they choose to become “non muslim” because they think there is something better than Islam but not because Islam is evil so they still defend Islam.

  4. “It does not include any Conservatives”, so everyone should vote Conservative. Last time I checked Canada was a Christian country. Carney’s Century Initiative will take away any Canadian values we have left. George Soros must be giddy watching the demise of Canada.

  5. The Muslim/islamic migration invasion is putting its soldiers in public offices to gain control of Canada and the United States. If we the citizens don’t stop this at the election polls Islam will succeed in its take over of our countries.

    We should also put laws in place to prevent first and second generation migrants from holding public office.
