The scandal surrounding the BBC’s meretricious pro-Hamas documentary continues: “Mass Protests Continue Outside BBC Headquarters as Corporation Faces Intense Scrutiny for Gaza Documentary,” by Shiryn Ghermezian, Algemeiner, March 7, 2025:
“Since transmission, they [Hoyt [sic] Films] have acknowledged that they knew that the boy’s father was a deputy agriculture minister in the Hamas government; they have also acknowledged that they never told the BBC this fact,” the BBC said. “It was then the BBC’s own failing that we did not uncover that fact and the documentary was aired.”
Hoyo Films told BBC it paid Abdullah’s family “a limited sum of money” for him narrating the film and deposited the money into his sister’s bank account. The Telegraph revealed this week that the family of the senior Hamas official was paid close to £790 ($856), which is equivalent to about a month’s salary in Gaza. An organization of pro-Israel lawyers in the UK has demanded that counter-terrorism police investigate the BBC and two producers from Hoyo Films for possible terrorism offenses, such as funding terrorism in violation of the UK’s Terrorism Act 2000….
An excellent idea: make all those involved in this scandal pay. Let those two producers at Hoyo Films lose their jobs, and let the BBC employees who gave the go-ahead to airing this propagandistic “documentary” also be fired. Exemplary punishments, which should cause others to stop being handmaidens for Hamas and other terror groups, are now needed.
James Frith, Labour MP for Bury North, told [BBC Director-General Tim] Davie: “It’s fair to assume that if the family of a senior Hamas leader is paid, that that money goes into the orbit of Hamas.” He simply replied, “I’ve told you what I know.” Even amid the scrutiny, Davie told committee members that the BBC is “the most trusted brand in the world.”
If Tim Davie still thinks the BBC is “the most trusted brand in the world,” he has another think coming. When it comes to its coverage of Israel and those who would destroy it, the BBC is despised by many — including me, including you. The years of anti-Israel animus, demonstrated by so many at the BBC, including John Simpson, Jeremy Bowen, Lyse Doucet, Barbara Plett Usher, and Yolande Knell, have ground down into dust that original trust. Now, when we can still stand to listen to BBC News, many of us spend our time counting all the ways that that day’s coverage was unfair to the Jewish state.
In an interview with the Middle East Eye published this week, Abdullah said he and his family have been targeted with online harassment because of the scandal involving the documentary, his mental health is suffering as a result of the controversy, and he fears for his safety. He said he also holds the BBC “responsible” for anything that happens to him. He claimed that the only money he or his family received was for personal expenses related to his involvement in the film.
Abdullah, who no doubt cheered the atrocities carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, claims he has been subject to “online harassment” that has caused his mental health to suffer. He’s a cheerleader for Hamas’ rapists, torturers, and murderers, and deserves no sympathy. There’s not a wet eye in my house for Abdullah al-Yazouri. Is there in yours?
“In the contract that was signed between the production company … and my mother, there wasn’t any payment for me or my family,” he told the Middle East Eye. “However, I had $1,000 transferred to my sister’s account, which were for personal spendings, nothing else.”…
There wasn’t “any payment to me or my family” but…”I had $1,000 transferred to be sister’s account.” Square that circle if you can.
Money was paid by the BBC, via Hoyo Films, to Abdullah’s family — it’s still not clear if it was paid to Abdullah himself or to his sister, as he claims, to keep in trust for him, because he was too young to have a bank account. But that money may also have been turned over by the Al-Yazouri family to Hamas. which means that the license fee-payers in the U.K. who pay for the BBC were unknowingly contributing to Hamas. And it is that which has so infuriated so many, along with the grotesque bias of the “documentary” itself.
There will be an investigation. There will be more angry speeches in Parliament directed at the grand panjandrums at the BBC. There will be calls to end the mandatory license fee that supports the BBC. This meretricious “documentary” and the payments made to Hamas, even if indirect, will cause heads to roll, beginning with those who allowed such a work of propaganda to be aired. A world of woe awaits the BBC, so richly deserved.

I would be excited if BBC is put to sleep, but it won’t happen anytime soon, given the political landscape in UK. The elites have been evil and against their own citizens for more than 3 decades. They are so stupid not to see the terrorists are devil’s agents.

Many people are actually unaware that, it is possible to ‘opt out’ of paying the TV license frr.
It can be done by phone in just a few mins, by agreeing to not watch this & that etc.
Plus you get a chance to say why, if you feel so enclined. Have fun with that.
The biased muslim loving monolith that is the BBC, is corrupt, satanic & responsible for some of the most disgusting truth twistings & fact fraud imaginable.
Today, almost every news story has an neo political slanted angle that is devoid of honesty & objectivity.
Utterly antisemetic, antiChristian & passionately pro Palestine, jihad &/or all things related to the Islamic death cult, the BBC should be gutted from the top down, to get rid of the hardcore left leaning liars & anti British activists that infest the whole company.
RIP BBC. Traitors. Hamas agents. Devil worshippers. Scum.

You actually answered a lot of the questions I had in mind about British license fees. Essentially, media consumption is totally different this century from the way it was during the days of cable or satellite boxes. Nowadays, in this era of broadband, and w/ products like Amazon Fire or Sky Stream or Roku Express, people can totally not have a cable or satellite connection, but just get internet either from fiber broadband or 5G, whichever is available
Like I mentioned the other day, one can just watch delayed programming, instead of live programming, and one shouldn’t have to pay a penny. Like if one watches GBNews, one can just watch the recorded feeds of the program one watches, or the YouTube clips that are uploaded, and one would be up to sync w/ the news. Unless one is watching election returns somewhere or a sports channel, one doesn’t really need live feeds anyway
Also, why would I want to watch BBC to know what goes on in Israel or US or Russia or India? When all these countries have news agencies that have YouTube pages, where I can watch. I exclusively use JNS for Israel right now, GBN for Britain, Rebel News for Canada and a whole host of hosts for the US and India. Why would I watch a British outlet for what goes on outside the UK?
In any reform of the BBC, it needs to be made totally local & native. Just outsource their international reporting from their other pals – CNN, CBC, India Today, et al, and just hire reporters in Britain alone to deal w/ what’s going on right there

Infidel,
I watch so little “cable TV” that it took me 15 minutes to try to figure out how to watch the 2024 Army-Navy football game on CBS.

Excellent reply @Infidel.
You are so correct,
There is no need for someone to be ‘informed’ of world events from the BBC, when the window is wide & open on the truth through many good & some half decent outlets, simply with a few fingers flirting on a keyboard.
For example, even Russian RT has some excellent reporting, that is more reliable than BBC content, along with many media options considered unacceptable by those who wish to censor & control the narratives.
If only folks knew there were significant other avaliable info options, they might escape the very powerful grip of delusion, found in devil infested caliphatic cauldrons, such as the BBC.
Habits are hard to break. Many watch in small routine parts of their day, thus being fed the lies on a deeper subliminal level without knowing or caring. It is scary to consider the dark forces at work.
Change has to come. But I fear the BBC might be too damaged to repair, but only time will tell. Fingers crossed hey? But ’til then there is no need to fund them in the mean time.
Again, great reply. Cheers!

Nothing at all will happen to anyone at the BBC, it never does. The fakistinians have one bank account for the whole family, it is common practice, they have meetings before withdrawal of money and if they get short they decide which one among them should murder a jew so that their coffers will be guaranteed to grow from the pat for slay rewards paid by the PA from our tax dollars.

I always associated to any random porn channel, honestly. Back in the day someone told me British “humor” was extra funny and very high brow. We were given a box set of some supposed comedy in the 90’s and it was so deviant and openly filthy with hyper inference sly sex nastiness it was unwatchable. I appreciate humor and good comedies like anyone else. This filth was over the top and on regular cable. Benny Hill was just filth, sorry I wish I could think of another word but my mind simply refuses to try to remember any part of that pervert red headed freak, which set my opinion of red heads in concrete. Just being honest. Like Rocky Horror Picture Show my child’s school thought was a hilarious comedy for 4th graders. I fixed it by reading the lyrics out loud of Tim Curry operetta “Sweet Transexual from Transexual Transylvania” to him at the parents meeting. Movie canceled. I began watching that guy like a hawk and reported it to the county board of supervisors. He didn’t return following year. The BBC is a porn station, my initial instincts were right as usual. Palestine lies fit right in and we all know why. (I had to look up a couple of words which is rare for me and imagine my not surprised reaction when “meretricious” at its base was a prostitutes behavior.” Excellent article. Thank you

As the BBC goes, so goes England. Down the drain of history.
I think of the uplifting WWII song, “There’ll always be an England” with sadness. Totally irrelevant now.

Ralph, somewhere around ten years ago I ‘updated’ the lyrics of the great song “There’ll always be an England” with “There’ll always be an Al-Britani”. This was intended as satire, but seems sadly more prophetic all the time:
There’ll always be an Al-Britani
I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen.
I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen.
[this is Haram! There will be no alcohol in Islamized England, and no mixing of the sexes! The Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice هيئة الأمر بالمعروف و النهي عن المنكر will remove these blasphemous lyrics!]
May this fair dear Dunya we love so well
In dhimmitude and oppression dwell.
Though worlds may change and go awry
While there is still one voice allowed to cry
There’ll always be an Al-Britani
While there’s an ugly Mosque,
Wherever there’s a Madrassa
Beside a stoning ground
There’ll always be an Al-Britaini
While there’s a busy slave market,
Wherever there’s a violent Muslim mob,
A million marching feet.
The Shahada on a field of black; what does it mean to you?
Surely you’re proud, shout it aloud,
“Muslims, awake!”
The Ummah too, we can depend on you.
No Freedom remains. These are the chains
Nothing can break.
There’ll always be an Al-Britani,
And Al-Britani won’t be free
If England means as little to you
As England means to me.
(apologies to “There’ll Always Be an England”. This stirring song helped my mother and aunt who had joined the British army as young women get through th London Blitz)

My, my, my, what a marvelous bit of satire you have compiled. I wish all UK politicians would read it (and remember it).
