What does anyone suppose might happen if those same Mexicans (second largest Catholic country in the world after Brazil) illegally flooded into Syria? They wouldn’t be just sent back by al-Sharaa. There’s a valid reason why Christians and other minorities are fearful in Syria. From The Independent:
Altounian, an Armenian Christian, expresses a concern shared by many of Syria’s religious minorities about the ideology of the new rulers in Damascus. “The city has always been moderate. Alcohol is tolerated in all communities, and Muslim women don’t wear hijabs,” he explains. “These men come from the Al-Nusra Front, which has strong ties to al-Qaeda and Isis. We fear they will rule in an extremist manner.”
The al-Qaeda-linked jihadist Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, who changed his name to Ahmed al-Sharaa, is attempting to stir up the unsavory elements of American society against Trump: the pro-Hamas “resistance” movement as well as illegal migrants, along with their leftist supporters. But these elements do not need al-Sharaa to get stirred up. They’re in a perpetual state of rage and revolt as they undermine peace, law and democracy.
The Palestinians are the embodiment of Islam’s fight against the presence of a Jewish state in the region that was conquered by Islam and that Muslims believe belongs entirely to them.

Earlier in the month, representatives from a coalition of Arab nations rejected a proposal by Trump that sought to relocated displaced Palestinians from Gaza. Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Jordan, Palestine, and the Arab League reiterated the call for the implementation of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and urged efforts to achieve peace in the region.
Sharaa later attempted to draw a comparison between Trump’s deportation of illegal aliens out of the U.S. with relocating Palestinians from war-torn Gaza adding, “Why is he pushing Mexicans out of America now? He is doing the same thing.” The former rebel warlord said any effort to move the effected peoples would be a “serious crime that will ultimately fail.”
“I believe no power can drive people from their land,” the Syrian president said. “Many countries have tried to do it, and they have all failed, especially during the recent war in Gaza over the past year and a half.”…

It’s always the same. It’s perfectly fine for mozlums to murder those whom they hate; to burn their homes. to steal their land, to steal their belongings and to drive the survivors out.
But just let a non-mozlum government force trespassers on the land to leave….and that means the governments have committed immoral crimes. The *trespassers*….have already committed a crime of trespassing…and many commit other, and much worse, crimes. Smuggling, theft, rape and murder are committed by the thousands of *trespassers*….but mozlums and people like aoc, jasmin crocket, and their squad, find that any program to stop the criminals, is wrong.
It would be just desserts if those who oppose applying real Laws, suddenly became the victims of the lawbreakers they defend.

Yes. Muslims use Islamic Law, Sharia, to guide their actions. Islamic Law is built from the Quran, the Hadith or Sunnah, Islamic Rulings, etc. which can be contradictory and full of loopholes within Islam. Plus, Islam teaches lying and deceit to Muslims.

I think Israel is going to have some very serious problems with this type of jihadists, now that they let them just rush in after Assad left a vacuum there. It took just a few days to rush in and say “Peek-a-boo, now I’m President”. There are christian and other minorities there who might not want Syria heading toward another Muslim state, but rather away from it. The problem is Islam. Russia has been so busy invading Ukraine that it took its eyes off the ball in Syria. The KGB (defunct since the Soviet Union fell, in any case; it is now the FSB) did not arrest Assad–Assad took his cash and fled to Russia.
Assad is openly living in Moscow now, where he owns property–he is not in prison there.
