46 years after the death of Ali Hassan Salameh, who planned the murder of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972, the Palestinian Authority continues to tout Salameh as a hero. The official PA news agency, WAFA, praised Salameh, who was commander of operations of the Black September terror organization, saying his “name was associated with many quality operations” – a reference to the Olympics Massacre:
