The three Israeli hostages who were just released — Eli Sharabi, Oded Ben Ami, and Or Levy — their faces gaunt, their eyes haunted, their eye-sockets dark, their bodies described as skeletal — were first paraded on a stage by Hamas captors. Each one was given, and told to hold up for the cameras, an “official” document testifying to their “release,” as if this ghastly exchange of each Israeli innocent for 57 Palestinian criminals, many of them terrorist murderers, could be presented as a legitimate postbellum “exchange of prisoners” between belligerents.
The men, looking like survivors of the Nazi death camps, were then pushed and shoved and screamed at, with the usual Allahu-akbaring, by surrounding Hamas men, as they made their slow frail way to the waiting members of the International Red Cross, which later denounced Hamas for the cruel way it conducted the handover and treated the three Israelis. That denunciation by the ICRC was most welcome. It what was surely a first for the ICRC, which has a long and ignoble history when it comes to its palpable want of sympathy for Jews.
We must not forget how the ICRC did nothing to help Jews escape the Nazis. It never tried during the 1930s, before the Final Solution began, to visit imprisoned Jews. And during the war representatives of the ICRC fell for a Nazi-orchestrated visit to the ghetto of Theresienstadt (Terezin), parts of which were done over, in a Potemkin-village makeover, to make it seem like a place where Jews were well-treated, with three square meals a day (which they had for one day — the day of the ICRC visit), clean barracks, sports facilities, and even an orchestra.
The delegation visited on June 23, 1943. One of the ICRC visitors, Maurice Rossel, wrote a favorable report on living conditions in the ghetto, and claimed that no one was deported from Theresienstadt (in reality, more than 100,000 were). In April 1945, another ICRC delegation was allowed to visit the ghetto; and despite the contemporaneous liberation of other concentration camps, it continued to repeat Rossel’s erroneous findings.
During the Gaza War, the ICRC has not been allowed to visit a single Israeli hostage, while it routinely visits Palestinians in Israeli jails. Yet the ICRC has refused to complain to the UN, or to persuade the world’s media to focus on this denial of visits to the hostages. Had it done so, it is possible that Hamas would have allowed ICRC staff to visit some of the hostages, in order to stop the negative publicity.

The three were taken to Ichilov and Sheba hospitals, where they are undergoing medical examinations. From initial details told by the three to their families, it appears that Sharabi and Levy were held together as captives….
They were beaten throughout their captivity. They were starved, having to make do, at times, with a quarter of a piece of pita bread for a day’s ration. They were allowed to take a shower once every few months. They were mostly kept chained, in dark, dank tunnels, and could neither stand nor sit. They went barefoot for almost the entire duration of their captivity.
For Sharabi, the first question he asked the Israeli soldiers was about his family. A representative of the IDF informed him that his wife Lianne and their daughters, Noiya and Yahel, had been murdered in their home in Kibbutz Be’eri. In an act of psychological cruelty, Hamas terrorists led him to believe that his brother Yossi had been killed in Gaza, but led him to believe his wife and daughters still lived. In fact, in the cynical Hamas ceremony to release him, he said he was “happy,” for “I am soon going to meet my wife and children.” Ben Ami, who for nearly 500 days didn’t know if his daughters were alive, was finally able to reunite with them after his release.
Of the many psychological cruelties the hostages have endured, one of the worst was that perpetrated by Hamas, leading Eli Sharabi to believe his wife and two daughters were alive, when It knew that they were dead, having been murdered by Hamas on October 7, 2023. I am trying to imagine the despair and desolation that must have pierced the frail body of Eli Sharabi when he learned the truth.

The differences between a Hamas tunnel “hostage” and a nazi concentration camp prisoner is very great. However the similarities are greater.
Differences
1. Nazi camp victims were allowed to see the daylight. Hamas hostages weren’t.
2. Nazi victims had a better idea of what fate awaits them. Hamas tunnel captives never knew if the guard was going to shoot them for the fun of it or not.
3. Prisoners of the camps remained at the camps under Nazi SS control. Prisoners of Hamas were “loaned out” to other friendly jihadist groups ( Islamic Jihad) or even civilians who volunteered to guard Jews in their homes and to do work for them.
4. Nazi prisoners were taken captive in one country and moved to others all over Europe. Hamas captives were taken in Israel and then moved a short distance to an imaginary place called Palestine, a place that doesn’t really exist except in the minds of the insane Hamas.
Similarities
1. Same diet
2. Both the tunnel prisoners and the camp victims were going about their lives when suddenly Nazi/Hamas men swooped down on them and took them away.
3. Both were treated inhumanely because of who and what they were. Jews.
But here is the Big difference. Those who took the Jews captive in concentration camps were totally defeated with many tried convicted and hung. Those who took Jews captive for Tunnel internment have yet to be brought to justice but many have been killed. Unfortunately the future looks brighter for these jailers than the Nazi jailers.
Another Big difference is the Nazi prisoners could only mount one rebellion which had no hope of success. The Tunnel interned hostages had the best pound-for-pound army in the world working on their behalf but both that army’s own moral codes as well as the opposition of important ( what should be) allies has prevented it from totally succeeding.
However one similarity is that the civilian populations of both who supported both political organizations which carried out the captivity of Jews, suffered greatly for their support.

The cruel inhumane treatment of those three staved kidnapped hostages by the Muslims terrorists of Hamas , further confirms what was already well known before. Which is that there is absolutely no limits to the vile, heinous horrifically evils that the jihadists of Hamas will commit because of because of their demonic and malice-filled religion that is Islam.
Likewise it should always be kept in mind and never forgotten that the jihad entity, Hamas, is completely evil and its jihadist stooges likewise are totally wicked.
