Crete saw refugees pouring in back in 2020, before the latest “wars in the Middle East.” Illegal migration is always associated with wars and socio-economic instability — which are norms in the Muslim world, from Africa to the Middle East. Nothing Greece is saying now is unique to the current wars in the Middle East. In fact, the Media Line reported months ago that Libya, where no war is going on at this time, is the deadliest launching pad for illegal immigration to Europe.
Migrants flood into Greece and other areas of the EU and bring their jihad sentiments, sharia values, and contempt for infidel law with them. Some also bring terrorism. Then there is the Palestinian “resistance” movement that has caused antisemitism to soar in Western countries. In Greece, Muslims stabbed two Israelis in Athens last Friday. One assailant was from the Gaza strip. And in 2023, Greek police arrested two Pakistanis in Athens on “suspicion of planning attacks against Israeli and Jewish targets.” A Pakistani video was also discovered to be telling Muslim migrants how to enter Europe illegally.
Turkey has also been bullying and provoking Greece for quite some time, while aiding Muslim migrants to invade Greece, with the help of people smugglers. Greece is an important entry point to the wealthier nations of the European Union, and its problem with illegals and smugglers has never let up. Last July, a Greek border guard was shot by what was believed to be a migrant smuggler while he was patrolling the unsafe border with Turkey.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Authorities in Greece said Tuesday they detained 107 migrants in two separate operations near the island of Crete, as an official attributed an increase in people trying to cross the eastern Mediterranean to conflicts in the Middle East.
A cargo ship assisted in the rescue of 42 male migrants from a boat in distress that was abandoned and later broke up after hitting rocks, according to the coast guard and officials from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
Survivors later told authorities they had departed from the Libyan port of Tobruk. Authorities arrested two men on smuggling charges.
In the second incident, 65 migrants were found on the island of Gavdos south of Crete. One man required medical assistance and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Speaking in parliament, the deputy minister of maritime affairs, Stefanos Gikas, said authorities have been dealing with a surge in illegal migration since late 2023. Government officials have attributed it to conflicts in the Middle East.…

I am puzzled about the Pakistanis. I did not realize that Pakistani people were Muslim; I am going to have to read about their history. The first time I really thought about the Pakistanis is when Bin Laden was shot, before that I thought we (the US) had an understanding w/ them. I knew that they had “ISSUES” w/ India and China. As an American I for sure do not understand the the “TRIBAL” issues w/ regard to the ISLAMIC nations. WOW. I had not idea about the MTO

“Purifying the Land of the Pure” by Farahnaz Ispahani is a good book about Pakistan, though it only goes back to the official foundation of Pakistan in 1947. It was intended to be secular, but soon enough was turned into an Islamic state with lots of violence against non-Muslims and even the wrong kind of Muslim.

Yes–Pakistan (and Bangladesh, originally known as East Pakistan) broke away from India in 1947. They have murdered or driven out most Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians, while Islam has grown in India.
