Dr Matthäus Fink, one of the state prosecutors responsible for overseeing Germany’s online hate speech laws, explained the approach taken by authorities. “People are surprised this is illegal,” he said. “They say it’s free speech, but we tell them free speech has its limits.” The laws prohibit not just direct threats but also offensive remarks, reposting controversial content, and even liking certain posts.
Meanwhile, Chancellor Olaf Scholz has reignited the debate over free speech and democracy in Germany following a clash with Vance at the Munich Security Conference. On Saturday, Scholz rejected what he called “outsider” interference in German elections after Vance criticised Europe for shutting out far-right parties. The chancellor, whose country votes on February 23, defended Germany’s strict stance against including the far right in government coalitions.
Scholz directly addressed Vance’s remarks, recalling the US vice president’s visit to the Dachau concentration camp, where Vance reaffirmed a commitment to “never again” allowing such crimes. A family member and his wife were arrested once by the SD for hiding Jews and taken to a house which still exists, although I will not mention its name. There the usual treatment was to push your face into a tub full of water until you nearly drowned. I’m not sure, but it would seem to be akin to waterboarding. The Germans called it ‘U-boot’ (U boat: U = unter wasser = beneath the water); they treated it as a game. My familly had to bribe this scum to get him (and his wife) out. Im Berlin könnten die Linksextremen die alten Seilschaften der SED über die Jahre nutzen und ausbauen. Gleichzeitig implantierten man mit Merkel eine SED-Kaderfrau in der CDU.
Und diese nutzte dann 2015, um den Nachholbedarf an moslemische Einwanderung, den Deutschland damals im Vergleich zu Frankreich, GB, Belgien oder Schweden hätte, aufzuholen, um so den sozialistischen Niedergang des Landes zu beschleunigen.
