Germany: Afghan Muslim migrant rams car into crowd, injuring 20 people in ‘suspected attack’

Authorities in Germany don’t even want to say with certainty that this was deliberate, but there are so many other attacks like it that they can’t help but admit that it might be another.

Meanwhile, is it specifically a jihad attack? Afghanistan is a hotbed of ISIS activity. The Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:

“At least 20 injured after driver plows into demonstrators in Munich ahead of Vance’s meeting with Zelensky,” by Nicholas McEntyre, New York Post, February 13, 2025:

At least 20 people were injured when a driver rammed through a large demonstration in Munich on Thursday morning — one day before the German city was set to host a conference of world leaders including US Vice President JD Vance.

The driver was identified as a 24-year-old Afghanistan national, a police spokesperson told reporters, according to Sky News.

Police say the suspect drove a Mini Cooper into the crowd of people, leaving several injured, just after 10:30 a.m.

Officials said they “secured” the driver, adding there was no further threat to the area….

  2. Name: Farhad N. Apparently, he broke through a police barrier to get to this group of people, that’s why the police was there so quickly and why they fired at him. Apparently, the group, Verdi, was demonstrating for something or other. It’s called ‘Verdi’, or ‘Ver.di’. It’s a trade union: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ver.di. Apparently there was a second person in the car. It’s unclear to me whether or not they have apprehended that person as well.

    • Before the attack the perp is very likely to have posted ‘radical islamic messages’ on social media, according to Der Spiegel. The man drove into the group from (their) behind. The police shot at the vehicle to force the driver to stop. There are children among the 28 wounded. How many is unclear. Multiple victims are gravely injured, some received life threatening injuries, according to a usually well informed online newspaper

      This journalist must have been sleeping under a stone. He should know better than to distinguish between ‘radical’ and ‘non-radical’ islamic messages.

The most troubling thing for me in my country is how “They” have a huge foothold in our food industry,restaurants and groceries,very concerning to me! Liberal Ideology that has brought this scourge,this plague to our countries is an extreme cancer! Where I’m from,citizens are to busy trying to survive,pay bills and feed their families to care what’s happening around them.

    For a firm belief in Islam is based in blind unquestioning feeling and very strong emotion and not , at all , on any foundation of a process of logical thought or method of thinking. .That is why Muslims ,violent or not , can’t be reasoned with.

    Such a belief that Divine knowledge is found in the Qur ‘an is rooted in feeling and emotion and not logic is irrational foolishness and folly. As so well explained by the brilliant ancient philosopher ,Greek Aristotle, who had very wisely written “All knowledge should be subject to examination and reason.”

    And it could have easily been a large SUV or pickup truck.

    If this doesn’t wake Germany up, nothing will.

  19. The local state Premier stated that the motive was “unclear” but “probably an attack”.
    That is about the best we can hope for so near to the event.

    Apparently there was a deportation order against him dating back to 2020 so regardless of motive, or absence of motive, he almost certainly will be extradited at the end of his incarceration.

    It does not appear that the German authorities are trying to duck this in any way. That being said, when they have enough evidence to convict, incarcerate and extradite him why would they bother to blame it on his being a muslim? It would just complicate matters.

    The population will not be fooled by this omission. There have been enough like incidents and muslim violence in Europe to have fully educated them by now. They may not distinguish between “mid-eastern muslims are violent” and “they are following their religion’s dictates” but they’re certainly getting the message, however slowly.

    • We got the usual “a car has rammed into people” here in Australia, At least they then admitted it was an Afghan asylum seeker. The word “Muslim” is never used though.

        There would be no need to use the word “muslim” (although most people can add one and one and get two) since his crime is not being muslim but in the car ramming. Islam will not be put on trial in this case — it wouldn’t help the case and they seem to have enough evidence to convict him 28-30 times over without it.

        • Muslim is the motive which is always pertinent. Most people who read the news want to know why the crime was committed.

          Certainly people want to know the “why?’ and, if the evidence gathered reveals the motive. it is unlikely that prosecutors would bother speculating on one. They already have enough for a conviction without a motive.
          I know it’s maddening but certainly the media can speculate on the motive behind these numerous attacks.
          To readers of this site the motive is clearly that the perp is following the dictates of islam. In fact there are other reasonable possibilities.
