The freedom of speech and freedom of expression are indispensable prerequisites for a free society. Without them, a tyrant can work his will unhindered, and in the modern parlance, label any opposition to his actions or policies as “disinformation” or “hate speech,” and silence or even criminalize it accordingly. How close is the West to doing that? As close as your nose is to your face.
Over in Britain, police have just arrested a man for burning the Qur’an. The Qur’an-burner was mounting a personal protest against the killers of Salwan Momika, who was murdered in Sweden Thursday for burning the Qur’an. In Britain, as in Sweden, authorities weren’t interest in the fact that so many believers in the Qur’an cite its teachings to justify oppression, violence and hatred. They moved quickly to end the protest.
GB News reported Saturday that the Qur’an burner in Manchester was arrested “on suspicion of a ‘racially aggravated public order offence.’” That illustrates not just official Britain’s refusal to face and deal adequately with the reality of Islamic jihad violence; it also shows the willful ignorance and wrongheadedness of British officials’ entire approach to this sort of thing. “Racially aggravated”? Really? What race are Muslims? What race are jihadis? What race are the people who believe that the Qur’an commands them to do violence to those who do not believe in its tenets?
There are Muslims, and jihad terrorists, of all races. The guy who burned the Qur’an did not do anything that had even the slightest connection to race or racism. Nonetheless, he “remains in custody,” and the Greater Manchester Police’s Assistant Chief Constable, Stephanie Parker, was ready with all the right multicultural blather: “We understand,” she declared, “the deep concern this will cause within some of our diverse communities and are aware of a live video circulating.”
In full-on Please-Muslims-Don’t-Hurt-Us mode, Chief Constable Parker continued: “We made a swift arrest at the time and recognize the right people have for freedom of expression” — no, you don’t, actually — “but when this crosses into intimidation to cause harm or distress we will always look to take action when it is reported to us.” Intimidation? To cause harm or distress? Really?
If someone had been burning a Bible at Manchester’s Glade of Light Memorial, it is likely that any Christians passing by would not have felt the least bit intimidated, harmed or distressed. It is also extremely unlikely that Manchester police would have arrested the Bible burner, and Chief Constable Parker would not have issued any statement about how concerned she was about the whole matter.
The difference is obvious. Muslims may riot or kill people over the burning of the Qur’an, while Christians are almost certain not to react the same way over the burning of the Bible. The British authorities are bowing to violent intimidation, which only ensures that they will get more of it.

Book burning: real big deal during Hitler’s Germany. Other nations have had segments of book burning. The Koran is just a book and to argue so is any Bible.
Both books have been burned by people who do not like it’s content, should it lead to killing the book burner, NO….Islam can get away with burning the Bible so why is it that the Koran cannot be burned, after all it’s just a book…right.
The difference is this, Muslims are given a status by governments and Muslim groups portray Islam as a religion however Islam is not a religion it is a theocracy. The giant bubble Islam has created for its self importance has to be changed followed with the truth about Islam become an open conversation without the violence that follows criticism.

Actually, burning the Qur ‘an is a very stupid thing to do. By contrast ,an intelligent way to handle that religious book of Islam and all the deadly violence that it inspires to to study and examine that specific religious book of Islam and then expose the errors and contradictions that it contains.
This has actually already been done, For example, on pages 145 through 157 in THE ISLAMIC INVASION by Robert Morey in which he wrote a section on the Qu‘ran with its self-contradictions. Just two of the many he cited are the following “The Qu’ran differs on whether a day is a thousand years or fifty thousand years in God’s sight’ and “Who was first to believe? Abraham or Moses [Sura 6:14 versus 7:143]? The above is inconsistent and illogical. Further, Morey wrote about “The fact that Judaism and Christianity broke up into different sects was used in the Qu ‘ran to prove that they are not of God [Suras 30:20-32. 42:13, 14]. Yet Islam has broken up into many warring sects and therefore cannot be true if the Quran is right.”
Moreover, Morey in his book shows many more contradictions and absurdities in the Quran, there are and how Muhammad incorporated extra Biblical and Jewish folklore along with pre-Islamic Arabian myth and parts of Zoroastrian and Hindu stories into the Quran.
Furthermore, the Muslims claim that “the Quran is the direct, literal word of God unmodified in any way by the Prophet who uttered them at the bidding of God.” In addition , in the book UNVEILING ISLAM by Ergun Mehmet Caner and Eethi Caner has shown that the Quran was modified in the following account on pages 45. “Muhammad felt the need to improve on the words of Allah, since he changed Allah’s wisdom for his own on several occasions. A hadith tells of the nonchalant emendations of Muhammad:’ On a number of occasions he [a scribe] had, with the Prophet’s consent changed the closing words of verses. For example, when the prophet had said ‘God is mighty and wise ‘ Adbollah b. Abi Sarh suggested writing down ‘Knowing and wise’ and the Prophet answered that there was no objection. Having observed a succession of changes of this type, Adbollah renounced Islam on the grounds that revelations, if from God could not be changed at the prompting of a scribe such as himself. After his apostasy he went to Mecca and joined the Qorayshites.’ Other writers reveal that later Muhammad and his people did go war with the Qorayshites and he personally killed Abdollah. Obviously Abdollah knew too much and Muhammad wanted Abdollah’s knowledge to die with him.”
In conclusion, the Qu ‘ran is not only a fiction, it’s also a hoax.
Even though the above essay was posted before, it should now be added that the last statement of the above that “the Qu ‘ran is not only a fiction, it’s also a hoax.” To put this in a Biblical way. As in from the Bible, it may be truly explained that the Qu ‘ran is a deceptive work of “the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.” Ephesians 14:12.. [N.I.V.]

Your first paragraph is your opinion. It is not supported by the Bible. And since you yourself write “it has already been done”….the reading, studying, and exposing….there is no need for anyone who would rather not read the book of demon filth, to do so.
It is not stupid to burn it. Those who had practiced magical arts in the time of Jesus and His Apostles, but who turned to Christianity, burned their books.
What is really stupid….and evil…. is for mozlums to murder anyone who does burn the book of demon filth; and also, for any who condemn the one who burns the book as this man did to prove a very important point.
Besides that, what happens after someone burns the book in public, says more than does a quote of verses about the intent of mozlums.

James, the brother of Jesus wrote (,Chapter 1) in part “21 So put away all filth and evil excess.”
“25 But the one who peers into the perfect law of liberty and fixes his attention there”
Time is better spent ‘peering into the perfect law’ and ‘fixing our attention there.’
This will actually increase one’s “intelligence.”

Section 29J Public Order Act 1986 is supposed to give protection to Freedom of Speech with regards to religions.
There is specific protection for language or conduct which ridicules insults or abuses either a religion or religious practices.
If such conduct stirs up hatred against the adherents themselves that is different.
The last time I checked S29J was still in force and would be a tailor made defence in this instance. It has probably been quietly repealed as it was part of law made nearly 40 years ago in a very different Britain.
In the UK not only are the police virtually owned by Islam, or their actions dictated by fear of it but so are the Judges and the courts. We haven’t got a bloody chance.
I suppose the difference is that if I burn a bible the Methodist chapel across the road will not cause a riot or threaten to kill me.

Foolhardy perhaps if you value you life or your freedom but still a very courageous act.
I mean no disrespect to you .
You suggest that the best way to deal with the Qur’an is to study and examine in and expose it’s errors.
That is the civilised and decent thing to do.

Burning that evil book brings the spotlight to the way mozlums react when a *book is burned.*
What other people react that way when the books they like, read, and even treasure are destroyed?
And why are governments suddenly going along with the mobs howling for the blood of the book burners?
These brave men are shining a bright light….more people might be paying attention to what happens in that light.

And
A Christian burn a Qur’an.
Then the world can then see who is charged with a “breach of the peace”.
