George C. appears to be a convert to Islam, as he went to the association to leave a Qur’an there. After the stabbing, he took his Qur’an and left? Could his actions have found any justification in the book he was carrying? It does, after all, mandate and sanctify violence under certain circumstances. See, for example, 2:191, 4:89, 9:5 and 47:4.

On October 23, a 43-year-old man stabbed a Tunisian after trying to leave a Quran in an association premises in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. He was arrested three months later.
On January 28, a man was arrested in Grenoble for an attempted murder committed on October 23, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, Valeurs actuelles learned from a police source. That day, the suspect had gone to the premises of the association Autremonde to deposit a Quran. Volunteers from the association allegedly tried to dissuade him, after which the suspect allegedly stabbed a Tunisian, a regular at the place, for no apparent reason.
The stab wound was inflicted very close to the heart, according to a source close to the investigation. The victim, still alive, was given 15 days of total incapacity for work (ITT) by the medico-judicial units. The perpetrator then took back his Quran before leaving the premises.
Investigations conducted by the police have identified a suspect, a certain George C., 43 years old, born in Martinique, who is said to suffer from schizophrenia, and who was allegedly not receiving treatment at the time of the events. Placed in police custody after his arrest in Grenoble, the alleged perpetrator admitted to the facts. He also indicated that he had reacted in response to a slight jostling, and that he did not know the victim before this attempted homicide.
He was brought before a court for indictment during which a psychiatric assessment will be carried out in order to try to determine his level of discernment at the time of the events, and therefore his criminal responsibility.

This club, Autremonde, is the very Quranic definition of polytheists and unbelievers. When someone comes along demanding they have the only true belief, described in a book, it would surely be rejected. Likely, voices from the schizophrenic’s Quran reading spoke retribution against those who refuse Allah’s book and religion.
It seems obvious that the Quran provides easier justifications for violence in weak minds and an accepted way for suicide as a martyr. Unfortunately it supports violence by any Muslim against perceived enemies of Islam. The Quran is as dangerous as a gun.

Carrying Quran and reciting it while killing and raping people is not a blasphemy against Quran or Islam, it is the opposite, it is glorifying Quran and Islam. Except if it is done by a non muslim.

For a firm belief in Islam is based in blind unquestioning feeling and very strong emotion and not , at all , on any foundation of a process of logical thought or method of thinking. .That is why Muslims ,violent or not , can’t be reasoned with.
Such a belief that Divine knowledge is found in the Qur ‘an is rooted in feeling and emotion and not logic is irrational foolishness and folly. As so well explained by the brilliant ancient philosopher ,Greek Aristotle, who had very wisely written “All knowledge should be subject to examination and reason.”
