Dismantling USAID Will Help Stop U.S. Funding of Terrorists

It’s time to get our foreign aid under control.

USAID has been a major problem for a long time, but, under the Biden administration, it turned into a rogue agency that actively resisted the efforts of the Afghan watchdog to get information about its activities and that has directed billions of aid to terror states in ways that are completely unaccountable by moving the money through the UN and third party NGOs while making it impossible to track what they were doing with it.

The current move by the Trump administration to put the rogue agency move firmly under the control of the State Department is a welcome first step, but frankly USAID was dubiously conceived and much of its operations are aimed at undermining U.S. foreign policy or warping it into funding our enemies.

The Trump administration and a Republican Congress would do well to fully consolidate all ‘humanitarian’ aid under a single arm of the government (currently it goes through too many pathways) and significantly slash that aid unless it’s clearly and directly in the interests of our foreign policy. Aid to enemy nations, whether or not we technically view them as partners or allies, like Pakistan or Turkey, should be zeroed out entirely.

And no aid should be directed to any areas under the control of terrorist groups. That includes Yemen, Syria, Gaza, and Afghanistan. America should not be in the business of funding Islamic terrorism.

      • As it stand now this is just a travestly–those on the Human Rights Council are some of the biggest human rights abusers on the planet, including such thugs as Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Cuba, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, and Qatar.

  5. It seems morally wrong to take money from American taxpayers….who **must** under penalty of Law, pay taxes on every paycheck for Medicare, Medicaid, and social security, besides the rest of what is taken when a return is filled out…to send to other nations.

    So many Americans live from paycheck to paycheck and if they get laid-off for whatever reason….covid mandates, restructuring of a business, too many illness days, etc. are without much hope because a lot of the money they paid into the government has been wasted or sent over to some other country.

    If these people apply for help….things the government *offers.* ..they must be grilled on everything they own, every penny, and then must wait months to find out they “don’t qualify.”

    And yet, what do the other countries’ people do to “qualify”? Just live somewhere outside the U.S.
    They don’t pay taxes here, they may even hate Americans….but they get money for “aid.”
    Such as the people in ukraine having their social security/pensions paid by U.S. taxpayers.

    It’s morally wrong. Like taking food from your own children to give to someone down the street or across the border in some other place and telling your kids they haven’t worked hard enough to be fed.

    And all that fuss about student loans…..yes, it’s a lot of money….but if all of the money sent to other countries was spent here, some of it could go for free education. Americans gripe more about student loan forgiveness than about money sent to all of those people who hate and want to murder us.

    Truth and morals….in short supply in these times.

    • It’s sickening the way they treat taxpayers. I just watched Ilhan Omar and Jamie Raskin screeching about DOGE cutting these ridiculous handouts. Omar was her usual tagine of terrible, yelling that Trump is a dictator and has no common sense, said this marxist criminal brother-marrier. Raskin was yelling that Musk doesn’t “control the money of the American people. The US Congress does that!!!“ I was left wondering if he recognized how that sounded.

        I doubt that he has any idea…he is a pompous idiot, arrogant in the extreme. But if someone asked him, likely he would deny saying it, or that it was “taken out of context.”

        One thing I would like to see; a panel of plain Americans who have never held public office, taken off the street like Jay Leno once would do to ask questions, and be allowed to ask senators and reps….who would have to swear under oath…as the senators do to anyone they have authority to ask, any questions about their past conduct and things they have said.

        It would be so much fun to watch them squirm and attempt to wriggle out of the hot seat.
        Watching them, in their arrogance and superior attitude, question appointees makes me wish that could be done.

  6. NO AID OR MONEY should be given to ANY MUSLIM Country or Organization because of Islam’s terrorism, discrimination, and violence against Non-Muslims. More specifically, Islam is a Muslim Terrorist Ideology and Criminal Enterprise of continuous war, discrimination, segregation, supremacy, genocide, polygamy, propaganda, deceit, hatred, incitement, sedition, rape, terrorism, and violence against all Non-Muslims as taught in the Quran. Fundamentally, Islam funds, teaches, and promotes a Terrorist Criminal Organization with Muslims as Terrorists for Allah.     Deceitful Allah promises Heavenly Paradise to Muslims for acts of Muslim killing in a terrorist attacks against Non-Muslims and hypocrites when Quran 9:111 says, “Surely Allah has purchased from the believers[Muslims] their souls and their money so that they may have the garden[Heavenly Paradise]. They engage in war for the sake of Allah, so they kill and are killed…”

      She shouldn’t be deciding anything about anything to do with Americans or where American money is spent.

    • It was both infuriating and hilarious to see Democrat congresspeople visit the USAID headquarters & find no-one there. For one, what they did wasn’t much different from what the January 6th crowd did, and that too, b’cos money is no longer being incinerated the way it was in the waning days of the Biden regime. Otoh, it was funny that they found no one there. Even if Elon hadn’t told USAID employees to stay home, they’d still have found the building largely empty, given that everybody has been working remotely. In fact, it’s time that all those DC buildings get released, and the remote workers largely fired

      It’s good that Sec Rubio has taken control of it. Given Elon’s description of the place to Sen Ernst – that rather than a worm in an apple, it was an entire ball of worms – that entire operation should be shut down, and the following steps taken:

      ⮞ Inventory a list of countries who support us through thick & thin, even when we are at the receiving end. Especially at the UN
      ⮞ Prioritize any projects to help them
      ⮞ Whitelist only those projects. Everything else for all other countries should be blacklisted

      Oh, & spare us the chatter about only <1% of the budget being foreign aid. Even that money can be diverted towards our homeless, veterans and so on

    That should be the watchword.

    NO money should go from Infidel entities, to Islamic entities whether state or non-state. Because… ALL such monies, or even aid in kind, is viewed by mohammedans NOT with gratitude, but with entitlement. They see it as jizya; tribute money; money that they – the Lords of the World – are OWED by us eeevil infidels qua infidels. Well.. shut it off! Stop! Poor Muslims should go to the rich Muslims such as the oil states, for medicine, food, etc.
