BREAKING: Trump Refuses to Repeat Failed Policies, Says U.S. Will ‘Own’ Gaza

We are living at a truly momentous time in history. Donald Trump illustrated that yet again on Tuesday evening during his press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “You have to learn from history,” Trump declared, and proceeded to upend the political order that has prevailed in the Middle East for decades. It is a multiply failed order and so new approaches are very, very long overdue, but no one has dared to question it and suggest new solutions. Until now.

The most momentous announcement of this most momentous of press conferences was Trump’s declaration that Hamas would not be permitted to regain control of Gaza, and that in fact, the U.S. would “own” Gaza. He also reiterated his insistence that 1.7 million Palestinians would be relocated in Egypt and Jordan, explaining several times that this was necessary because the failed policies of the past should not and must not be applied yet again.

Hamas, Trump said, had ruled Gaza for years, and offered no options for the Palestinian people beyond bloodshed and death. He sketched out a vision of a restored Gaza that would be an international area, populated not just by Palestinian Arabs but by people from all over the world who would be able to enjoy its renaissance as the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

When asked if this meant that he was rejecting the possibility of a “two-state solution,” Trump said that he wasn’t addressing that at all, but merely saying that the old policies of the past had failed, and that new solutions needed to be tried. He and Netanyahu also both expressed confidence that Saudi Arabia would soon normalize relations with Israel, which would have a seismic effect upon the Muslim Middle East, as it has shown an unremitting hostility to Israel ever since the founding of the modern Jewish state in 1948.

Trump’s plan may sound crazy, and the establishment media and establishment policy analysts are already purporting to explain just how crazy it is. But in reality, the crazy plan is the one that was in place since the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993, and which has remained the view of the conflict that virtually everyone has taken for granted for over three decades now.

The idea of the Oslo Accords was the Israel would relinquish sovereignty over certain areas of Judea and Samaria (that is, the West Bank, as the Jordanian government renamed the region in 1950 in order to obscure its ancient ties to the Jewish people), as well as of Gaza, and that the Palestinian Authority would be established to govern those territories. Israel and the Palestinian Authority would then work with the Palestinians toward the establishment of a fully independent Palestinian state. The two states would then, as the rhetoric of a thousand establishment politicians has affirmed since then, live side by side in peace.

  2. I fear Trump is stepping into a hornet’s nest. I don’t see how this will work out but if it does then Trump is indeed a magician.

      I felt so angry when I heard this that it made me swear a few times. We’ve seen many versions of this tragic Muslim movie. Indeed, it will take a Miraculous type Magician to even get started toward winning.

      We are talking about a religion of death. To paraphrase F. Scott Fitzgerald:
      “Let me tell you about Muslims. They are different from you and me.”

      I love Donald Trump, but he is not going to change that dismal reality.

    • I don’t think so. Evacuating all Palis from Gaza to other countries, including the exclusion of Egypt or Jordan, sounds like a great idea, as is transforming Gaza into an international city. Similarly, he indicated that something will be announced in 4 weeks about Judea and Samaria. That could put Israel back to where it was in 1991, when the Palis were all in Tunisia

      The next thing that the US should do is put pressure on individual members of the Arab League to not just accept and settle Palestinians, but give them citizenship, and abandon all pretenses that there is a future separate state for them. Also, pressure should be put on Turkey to abandon its revanchalist ambitions and stop threatening its neighbors, be it Israel, Syria, Iraq, Armenia or Greece, as well as the Kurds in Syria, Iraq or Iran

      • After living in the rubble for a few months they will accept jobs clearing out Gaza and building new homes for themselves and working in the Trump Holiday Resorts.

        • Problem is that they (the Gazans) have been brought up on a diet of antisemitism growing up. That’s why evacuating them from Gaza is essential. If there still were any who supported Israel’s right to exist, it would be fine for them to remain

          However, right now, Gaza is uninhabitable, so Trump’s proposal for them to move makes sense. I just don’t think that it should be either Egypt or Jordan: I think they should be relocated in different Arab countries that are nowhere near Israel. In the 1980s, after the Lebanon war and the massacre of Palestinians by Lebanese Phalangist militia, they moved to Tunis, and things were great in Israel for those 8 years – both in Israel proper, as well as in Gaza, Judea and Samaria

          It was the Bush 41 administration – a pretty antisemitic one, despite them managing to repeal the UN resolution equating racism w/ Zionism – that set things back after Operation Desert Storm by forcing new negotiations on resettling Palestinians in Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Thus started decades of jihad terror against Israel – something that wasn’t there during the 80s after 1983. It’s only now that we are correcting it, and it’s long overdue

          Just like Israel was completely at peace after the Palis moved to Tunisia, similarly they would be fine once the Palis are relocated to different Arab countries, but this time, naturalized in those countries as citizens of them. I’m thinking of Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria and Yemen, although there could be others. Settle them there, let US take over Gaza, rebuild the place, and make it an international city. It could even be a refuge for people like Yazidis, Assyrians, Copts & other people threatened by muslims in their respective countries, but should be open to Jews as well who want to live there

      • Well, I grant you, Infidel, that Trump is playing chess when others are playing checkers but all that you mentioned which is rational will come up again and again against something that is irrational and full of venom and that of course is Islam—all of it.

        I see peril ahead but, as I already stated, if Trump can somehow pull this off he is definitely a magician. Time will tell.

  4. If the mozlums are moved out to other mozlum places, and gaza is bulldozed clean, Israel might have a chance at choosing who lives there.

    If the God Who created Israel wants this to be, then it will be. He has used “kings” before to bring about great change.

  5. First , that President Trump along with his administration wants Congress to allow a one billion dollar arms sale to the State of Israel is the right thing to do . It’s likewise the practical logical and necessary thing to do since Israel had many vicious and death inflecting jihad enemies, as Hamas and Hezbollah, that hates America as much as it hates Israel.

    Second, President Trump wisely understands and recognizes that all this anti-Jewish hate in America is dangerous ,malice-filled spiteful and vicious as well as irrational and ignorant.

    In addition, it should be remembered that former US President, William Howard Taft, was right then he wisely, declared in a speech “Anti-Semitism is a noxious weed that should be cut out it has no place in America.”

    For this anti- Jewish hate is also, in essence, very un-American.

    As in the grand statement in a speech the former President Theodore Roosevelt, rightly, declared, “There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is room here for only one hundred percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”

  6. As of January 20th 2025 with that inauguration day of Donald Trump as the President of the United States is the day of victory and triumph for America and the American people as well as a triumph for the State of Israel and the Israeli people.

    Therefore, in the future, in American history books, all genuine historians will recognize Donald Trump as a Great Patriotic American President.

    In contrast, the name of Joe Biden will rot in American history.

  7. I’d say it’s God’s land and it belongs to Israel. Hamas represents all the people as they support Hamas, therefore, relocate them to Jordan. DO NOT REBUILD FOR HAMAS/PALESTINIANS!!! Build bunkers, cities, concealed artillery bases, rename Judea, Samaria, include or allow for Israeli resettlement areas, farming, industry, research, whatever Israel determines to be necessary.

  8. As much as I like most of Trump’s positions, this is a non-starter. Good or bad, justified or not, I don’t believe Palestinians will leave what they believe is their homeland. And if the US attempts to take the area and “own it”, I think it will see the wrath of over a billion Muslims worldwide. And in my opinion this will lead to a holy war – or jihad, against the US and its citizens anywhere in the world. I strongly believe that Islam has no place in the western world and I detest Hamas, but if the US tries to do this, the violence in the Middle East we currently see will look like a tea party compared to what will ensue. There even are limits to what Trump and the US can do.

  9. Just finished watching both the meetings of Trump & Netanyahu, and liked what I saw. On Gaza, I like his idea of evacuating it completely and settling the Palis elsewhere, then rebuilding it and then making it an international city, maybe something like a Dubai or a Monaco. I liked even more his idea that more countries than just Egypt or Jordan be involved. Maybe Qatar, who Trump went out of his way to praise. Yeah, there’s no reason they have to be only in one place: they could be scattered in multiple countries – Qatar, Kuwait, Algeria, Yemen, Somalia, et al

    I also support the idea of Judea and Samaria being completely annexed by Israel. Any Arabs living there who are happy to peacefully co-exist w/ Jews, like they do in Israel proper, can remain there. But the others should be evacuated to all these exclaves. No more “Palestinian” government: all these people can work w/ the leaders of whichever countries they move to. As it is, democracy is haram in islam, so there’s no reason to pretend that Abbas or Fatah or Hamas or islamic jihad or PFLP have to have people to govern

I think the only crack in this idea is convincing the “other muslim countries” to have Palestinians come and settle in their countries, 98% of them are horrible vicious fighting idiots that will fight anyone just for the fight and then there’s paying for it, paying for resettlement of (basically 1.7 million terriosts), and paying for the rebuilding of Gaza ..

    If Trump (took) Gaza and turned it into the USA millitary base from hell, it would be amazing, pull all of the millitary that’s plastered around the middle east, let all the so called useful “USA friends” look after their own defense, let them squabble and bitch without USA Taxpayer funded intervention ..
    (Just have one big stick waving out of Gaza, it’s a great location)

    If Trump can pull this off and get everyone else to pay for it then Trump should rise to superstar status and be considered a true genius of our time ..

    Trump is already a genius in my mind ….

    • I think that’s what might be announced in the next few weeks regarding Judea and Samaria. It might be on the lines of them being controlled completely by Israel, w/ citizenship being offered to those Palis willing to live within Israel (like Israeli Arabs do). It might finally expel Fatah, Hamas and all other jihadist parties from the territory

      Hebron, Jericho, Nablus, Bethlehem all ought to be a part of Israel, being as they are all Jewish heritage cities. The Palis need to be stopped doing more damage to those places than they already have done

  16. Interesting concept. Might as well try to herd cats.

    Even if it came off the attitudes would remain the same and the problem merely dispersed and likely enhanced.. The problem isn’t with the land but with the inhabitants. By keeping the Palestinians in a constant state of victimhood, poverty and concentrating on destroying Israel the ruling elite are able to maintain the status quo and, consequently, their power. They will not easily risk loosing that power.

    • Did you miss the part of the plan about the residents of Gaza being resettled in other Arab countries? It wouldn’t necessarily even be restricted to Egypt or Jordan: they could be relocated to other Arab countries

      If that happens and Gaza is emptied, then they could rebuild it and then populate it w/ anybody. One idea might be persecuted non-muslim minorities in the neighboring countries, like Copts, Assyrians, Yazidis

        Read mine more closely.
        A Gazan living in Egypt or Jordan isn’t suddenly peaceful. The problem doesn’t end it’s just moved out of Gaza and the misplaced Gazans will just carry their hatred with them and spread it.
        In any event forcefully moving them out of Gaza is not an option.

        • Yeah, I would prefer them being moved to a far off country, nowhere near Israel. Certainly not the Sinai. I was thinking something like Algeria, Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar…. They won’t become suddenly peaceful, but they will be surrounded by other Arab muslims, who’ll know fully well how to deal w/ them, w/o attracting the sort of attention that Israel would attract

          They don’t need to be forced out. Right now, the condition of Gaza is such that they have to leave, but have nowhere to go. Hence this proposal to relocate them

  17. I, too, was shocked when this news first hit the newsfeeds about the new “Middle East Riviera”.

    And the announcement was very short on details. As I understand it:

    The United States would be “taking over Gaza” – and “run” Gaza. So-called Palestinians, who are there, would be permanently located to another country (Egypt, Jordan, etc.) except the fact that nobody wants them. And the “Gazans” (at least) state that they do not want to leave – but would be forced to leave.

    And who is supposed to pay for all of this?

    And how many US troops “on the ground” would be needed?

    Perhaps this was just “posturing” as in “the art of the deal” in order to gain “something else” of importance (think Greenland). The problem is, I’m not sure what “something else” is.

    Bottom line:

    With the scanty information that we all have currently, this does not look good.

    Desperately need more details.

    • I think many are missing the ” REAL ” point, the ” REAL SCENARIO ” of the situation. Trump has forced Canada and Mexico to clean up their acts on the Borders. This includes the Drug Trade, Cartels, and Human Smuggling, not to mention Illegal Firearms. PRC Influence, or the elimination of PRC Influence in Canada/Mexico is coming next.

      Greenland is negotiating an American Military presence on Greenland proper.

      The Gaza Strip is a ” Diamond in the Rough “. It is the perfect location for a Joint Taskforce, Multi-National Naval/Airbase. It would also be a major Checkmark to Iran, Syria, Turkey, China, and Russia.

      Think about it………………………
