Because of “Islamophobia,” you see. Where have we seen this sort of thing before? Every time there is a jihad attack, when Muslims start talking about how they fear a “backlash” that never materializes. The 9/11 narrative in the pop culture by now is essentially one of how some Misunderstanders of Islam carried out an attack, followed by a wave of “Islamophobia” that victimized innocent Muslims. The true victims of 9/11 were Muslims, as the true victims of all jihad attacks were Muslims.
