In a confrontation with Trump impersonator Jason Scoop, the famously hot-tempered Alec Baldwin behaved more or less the way you’d expect him to: he threatened to kill Jason Scoop, although he did so more quietly and calmly than some might have predicted. Still, Baldwin’s quietly spoken threat to murder a comedian is noteworthy in light of the fact that he did, after all, kill a woman in 2021, and because of the media’s reaction, or lack thereof. If Baldwin had been a Trump supporter who threatened to murder a leftist comedian, do you think the media might have reacted differently?
Viewing the video of the confrontation that Scoop posted on X Monday, it’s actually easy to feel sympathetic toward Baldwin, at least until the notorious bully opens his mouth. Scoop repeatedly chides him for his “murder” of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins; whatever one may think of the America-hating and far-left Baldwin, he has never been charged with murder over the shooting of Hutchins and has maintained that it was a “tragic accident.”
Anyone might lose his cool over being repeatedly accused of a murder. Baldwin started out by quite reasonably pointing out that his children lived in the building outside of which Jason Scoop was accusing him of murder, and clearly, as he maintains that no murder occurred, Baldwin didn’t want his kids to hear him being accused in this way. But Alec Baldwin being Alec Baldwin, he very quickly crosses the line.
“If this camera wasn’t here,” Baldwin tells the fake Trump, “I’d snap your f**kin’ neck in half and break your f**kin neck, right, as you know that, don’t you?” A bit later, Baldwin issues a new threat: “I’ll take that camera and I’ll shove it up your a**.” And so all in all, it was just another day in the life of Alec Baldwin.
Fox News found this incident newsworthy, and it was. Baldwin is a high-profile actor, as well as one of the most prominent and vociferous critics of President Trump. Many have insisted that he got off far too lightly over his shooting of Halyna Hutchins and that this leniency was yet another example of the Biden regime’s two-tier justice system, which repeatedly gave leftists a slap on the wrist for the most heinous of crimes while framing patriots for “insurrection” and treating praying Catholics and angry parents at school board meetings as terrorists.
And so Fox News published a report on Monday, duly reporting that Baldwin “appeared to nearly come to blows with a comedian Sunday night near his apartment in Manhattan. Baldwin, 66, appeared to be unloading luggage from a vehicle in New York City when a Donald Trump impersonator noticed the Emmy Award-winning actor. After a vocal back-and-forth between the pair on the street, Baldwin physically threatened to snap the comedian’s ‘neck in half.’”

It’s time somebody on a set re-did the 2021 shoot and killed Alec Baldwin in the same way he killed that woman, so that he too can get his just desserts

Regardless of what I might think of Alex Baldwin, the shooting death was clearly an accident. He had absolutely no reason to believe that there was any possibility whatsoever that the gun was loaded. It is not difficult to believe that the incident devastated him and caused him great remorse. Did he get off “easy” because of his politics? Impossible to know but highly unlikely. It’s like suggesting that there is some invisible left wing overseer constantly reviewing cases to decide what should happen depending upon the accused’s politics.
To harp on this as “murder” on his front door step (especially with his children nearby) is disgusting and highly provocative, to say the least. BUT there is no justification for death threats, however they were earned, and for that he should face prosecution.

Except that in his trial, it was demonstrated that he skipped several gun safety training classes. There is also the fact that prior to this accident, he had once stated that anyone who kills someone else w/ a gun even accidentally deserved to be tossed in jail for life. His views changed pretty interestingly once he turned out to be that person
Essentially, he’s a hypocrite. He opposes anyone else having guns, except himself in movies. Even though 99.9999% of gun owners are not guilty of manslaughter the way he would have been, had he not had a favorable lawyer & judge

With the facts of the case (at least as I understand them) it would be easy for the judge to be favourable. Nor would any reasonable prosecutor be after his blood. NO political motivation whatsoever.
The case had nothing to do with gun ownership (legal or otherwise) or the usual accidental shooting. It was on a movie set with a gun that ordinarily would NEVER have anything in it but blanks. As accidental as an accident can be.

Rarely, I do agree that this woman’s death was an accident–although likely a preventable one. But Alec Baldwin sadly often does threaten people–not so cool.

So he’s got a temper and often it gets the better of him and he acts badly. That is not a characteristic of people of the left any more than those of the right (or any other group). It is, of course, very wrong and he should get help to control his temper.
Of course, the death was preventable — there was no reason for live ammunition to be on the movie set. It was a terrible tragedy. I don’t remember if it was ever discovered how this happened.

So if I am driving a car in a dangerous way over 100 mile an hour the wrong way on a highway ,I get into an accident kill someone I would not be charged with criminal manslaughter? If you point a gun at someone that is capable of firing live bullets do not check the bullets’ personally that it is not loaded with live ammo then think you can “dry fire ” the gun at some persons head and you kill them you are not responsible?? If you are bad tempered idiot ,or a well spoken “nice” person that is not the point are you responsible for your very dangerous disregard basic safety in handling a dangerous weapon that resulted in a person’s death .How it happen is this idiotic actor point a gun at someone and though he was “dry” firing it breaking the most basic rules of gun safety never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger unless you personal checked the gun yourself even when the “expect” gun handler on set says it is not loaded with live ammo. They had live ammo on set with is a major no no in modern filming most have guns that cannot fire real ammo on set .Many guns made for actors on set can only fire blanks and have blocked barrels. It was reported that the gun on that set the actors and extras were firing live round at targets in the New Mexico desert between take and Baldwin was aware of this as director and actor on this set he was responsible on many levels. There is no good reason to have live ammo on set for guns used by actors in filming.

Certainly, Baldwin did not want to intentionally shoot – anyone.
That being said, he was negligent by not personally checking the gun for live ammo.

Mo, Robert Spencer often comments on political matters–your idea that since this site is called Jihad Watch that this is–somehow–not allowed is mistaken.

If tough guy Baldwin picks a fight with the “wrong ” person he might have a major problem .Having a history of threating alot of people ,he might attract the attention of a “fan” looking to make a name for himself .I remember after the gun “accident” he could not lay low and talk openly about it to the press like he was the victim .A public figure should try to temper his statements after he shoots an unarmed women on set that he is both an actor on and director of. Him going publicly ape shit on a Trump Impersonator would not look good in a court of law if he goes toe to toe with some street thug .
