Meanwhile, what is Hamas trying to do? It is either trying to “strike terror in the enemies of Allah” (Qur’an 8:60), or to goad Israel into a major strike, or both. Why would it do the latter? Maybe to bring about a massive response from the Arab and/or Muslim states.

Hamas says the remains of Israeli hostage Shiri Bibas appear to have been mixed with other human remains in what it claims was an “Israeli airstrike”.
Israel said the body handed over by Hamas was not Shiri’s, saying it had instead received the remains of an “anonymous body without identification”.
Israel claimed today forensic evidence showed Shiri and her two children were murdered in captivity by Hamas. Sky News has asked the IDF to provide evidence for their claims, but they have refused to comment further.
The Palestinian group claims Shiri and her children were all killed in Israeli airstrikes near the start of the war.
Ms Bibas was kidnapped with her sons – four-year-old Ariel, and nine-month-old Kfir – from the Niz Or kibbutz during the Palestinian militant group’s incursion into Israel in October 2023.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed it received the bodies of Ariel and Kfir on Thursday.
However, it said the body that Hamas had claimed was their mother was not her and the group had therefore violated the ceasefire agreement.
“During the identification process, it was found that the additional body received was not that of Shiri Bibas, and no match was found for any other abductee. It is an anonymous body without identification,” it said in a statement.
“This is a very serious violation by the Hamas terrorist organisation, which is required by the agreement to return four dead abductees. We demand that Hamas return Shiri home along with all of our abductees.”
Hamas said there was the “possibility of an error or overlap in the bodies” due to Israeli bombing. Hamas has said they were all killed in Israeli airstrikes near the start of the war. The group has never provided evidence to back this up. Israel says the Bibas family were murdered by Hamas in captivity….

Early Friday the fate of the Bibas’ family took an even bleaker turn.

At a Gaza Strip handover site, Hamas displayed four black coffins on a stage with pictures of hostages before a gathered crowd that included militants dressed in black and camouflage uniforms, according to video of the event. Above the bodies, a large, doctored image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was hung, depicting him as a vampire.
During the handover, one militant stood beside a poster of a man standing over coffins wrapped in Israeli flags. It read “The Return of the War = The Return of your Prisoners in Coffins,” Reuters reported. Red Cross staff held up white screens to try to conceal the coffins from onlookers as they were loaded into their vehicles amid crowds.
“Under international law, any handover of the remains of the deceased must comply with the prohibition of cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, ensuring respect for the dignity of the deceased and their families,” Turk said in a statement….

A thought that bothers is that what if shiri bebas is actually alive as a slave after they killed her children as she was forced to watch? This is in line with hamas cruelty.
I sort of hope she is dead as will she ever be free if alive and could she ever recover ?

If she is alive, they may have even forced her to watch and listen as they handed over the bodies of her poor babies.
May the God of the Bible, Almighty Jehovah, set things right and render Divine Judgment in His Grand Court.
Jesus will remember these little babies when He calls them from their memorial tombs in the resurrection.

I suspect that they lost her body, so just subbed in another body of some Gazan woman to pass off as her. It also explains why they delivered the caskets locked, w/o any keys

It is no surprise that they claim that Israel killed the children in an airstrike. It is no surprise that they made the claim that the woman was the mother, but the bodies mixed up due to the claimed airstrike
They would not have been able to separate the children and the elderly man if there had been many deaths in an airstrike. It’s all a pack of lies.
But, there is too much video evidence of the celebration they had over the return of the dead for them to claim it was solemn and respectful.
