There was no end to Bell’s attacks on Trump. Bell did all that he could to portray Trump as slime — which Bell himself turned out to be.
The Trump-obsessed Bell (and the WaPo) also said this about Trump in February 2024: “He’s a racist, treasonous, autocrat-admiring career criminal and rapist. Being desperate to stop him from getting back into the White House is the normal reaction that every decent person should have.”
Bell was judging the standards of decency, but now the WaPo’s prizewinning cartoonist has been arrested on child porn charges. The leftist pervert was “caught with 134 child porn videos, police said.”
In October 2020, Bell wrote on X: “Donald Trump, like his friend Jeffrey Epstein, is a predator who grooms his victims.”
Most of Epstein’s pals who visited his island turned out to be respected leftists, as Epstein himself was. Trump never visited Epstein’s island, which cannot be said of Bill Clinton, Bill Richardson, Kevin Spacey and Prince Andrew.

I once had a reddit discourse with a leftwing professor that was telling. It was mostly amiable, but there was a point where his argument really fell apart. We were discussing racism in America,…and I asked him if racial minorities could themselves be racists. Speaking as a fond uncle, father, babysitter, grandfather, and teacher of the young–although having a strong attachment to the 7th Commandment (Jewish and Reformed Protestant numbering), Thank God–I will say this about children and teens: they are affectionate, beautiful, willing to please, responsive to what is perceived as love, and, yes, sensual. I will add that the taint of original sin shows in them as much as it does in adults, and their “innocence” is often more a matter of weakness of limb rather than purity of heart. But for me, these are reasons to be protective rather than exploitive. I see or hear of some horrible things done to the young and am horrified rather than titillated. And I will go on record as saying anyone who does not feel some love for the young (even older teens) simply does not belong in the teaching or school counseling professions.
But one of the great monetary rewards of teaching high school is that I sometimes get to see someone who had long been indifferent to school learning “come alive” while studying a subject I have been assigned to teach. For a few years, I taught Chinese, and the critical mass of a couple of sections was made up of kids who were very transparently thinking, “Gimme a challenge; I’m willing to work hard; I want to master something out of the ordinary; I’m curious.” Believe me, the prospect of facing such a class could get me jumping out of bed at 3:30 AM on a cold wet, miserable Monday morning raring and itching to go.
Yes. The young can be downright interesting and, in a non-erotic way, downright loveable at times.
But we live in an era in which people like me are mocked as prudish, old-fashioned, “Puritan” (actually, Uncle Kepha takes this as a compliment), reactionary, “on the wrong side of history”, etc. Sexual expression is the thing to do, and our young, even from an early age, are bombarded with messages to “explore” their sexuality. On the one hand, we teach them to fit a condom to a banana; on the other hand we’re upset when a young girl gets pregnant or some other young person is sexploited.
Isn’t it interesting how even the most dedicated sexual revolutionary is filled with glee over the exposure of an ephebophilic clergyman? Had they any real moral courage, they ought to be cheering such offenders on as “brave pioneers”, “Challengers of oppressive systems in the very belly of the beast”, or “initiators of the young into the beauties of sex”–or some other fine-sounding spin. For the record, I believe those sexually predatory clergy are major violators of a sacred trust.
Hence, while I am shocked and angered when, in our school systems, some staff member is arrested for the sexual abuse of a minor or minors, I am not surprised. We’ve lost a world in which “love” can mean something non-erotic.
Yes, Mr. Bell should be prosecuted. He is a criminal. Moreover, as someone who believes in real moral guilt before an eternal, ominpotent, unchanging Tri-Personal Lawgiver, Uncle Kepha sees Mr. Bell as morally reprehensible. But I am not surprised that this sort of thing happens in the ranks of that great thundering herd of professionally agonized consciences of our “chattering classes”.
