The numbers have more than trebled to 19,154 in a year.
The statistics, obtained from the Home Office, related to those who can settle here after family members’ asylum claims were granted.
Immigration laws allow those granted asylum, including many who cross the Channel in small boats, to make a claim to let relatives travel legally to the UK.
Most granted a family reunion visa are children reunited with a parent.
But partners can also be allowed.
Those handed the visas do not need to meet any basic English language requirements or show they can support themselves.
And they can access the NHS for free.

The Brexit referendum in 2017 was not about Muslims or third world immigration at all really. It was not perceived as an issue then.
It was more concerned with Britain being in what started 4O years earlier, as a trading arrangement but became a monster which controlled us over and above our own laws in many cases.
The referendum was us saying we wanted to control our own affairs.
The secondarily concern was the legal immigration of large numbers of mainly Eastern Europeans because there was no border restrictions. Many of these folk undermined our own tradesmen and native people by working for lesser wages, and placing higher demand on state services schooling housing and the like.
Not put into being until 2019 and then not satisfactorily , Brexit did actually have the effect of reducing immigration from Europe.
Unknown to us the Government then started to import hundreds of thousands of thirds world migrants instead of Europeans !!
This is now about a million every year!
And our so called “Commonwealth” allowed many such immigrants to be regarded automatically as British citizens.
It is only the last few years that the Muslims in increasing numbers have made obvious their influence on our society.
And more come in every day.
We have been betrayed and our native land is being given to foreigners.
